I attempted to leave feedback on their website, however after you select a store there's no options to move forward. I attempted to take the survey, but you must select a store by location number, which is not publicly available. So, I thought I'd leave a review instead.
Tuesday I called First Choice to book an appointment for my daughter. I've never dealt with such disrespect and lack of tact from someone in customer service in my life. My questions were met with annoyance and judgment and I eventually just thanked the stylist for her time and hung up. I will never use their services again. Customers don't deserve that sort of treatment, and there are many other salons that are high quality for the same cost with friendly and professional staff. They are no longer as "affordable" as they claim, not worth it!
For the full story - my daughter is turning 6 and she wants two pink streaks in her hair. While at First Choice myself in the past, I've seen many little girls get a coloured streak or two in their hair, so I agreed to it for her birthday. I then called First Choice to book her appointment. The stylist I spoke with was extremely rude. She seems irritated with my questions about availability right away. We eventually found a day and time that worked for both of us, during this conversation she was very unkind. She then asked for my information to book and was annoyed that I had already been there before - however, I never said I hadn't been, and that was never a questioned she asked. She then asked if it was just for a cut, I explained my daughter wanted two coloured streaks and a cut. She then told me "no", with no other information. I questioned what she meant, and she said that there wasn't time for that, the latest the appointment could be was 4pm. This information also wasn't given easily as I had to further pry to get it. We picked a different day for that time, and she asked me if I wanted a full head of highlights. I repeated that the appointment was for my daughter and she just wants to get two streaks in her hair. She again seemed very annoyed and asked her age. After telling her she told me to wait, I then could hear her speaking with an assumed co-worker. She picked back up the phone and very rudely told me that they don't highlight children's hair. I attempted to ask questions, but she raised her voice, and with much judgement and attitude, she stated that my daughter was too young, and I shouldn't be highlighting her hair. She didn't explain their policy on the topic or give any other information. I then thanked her for her time, hung up and called a different salon that gladly and professionally went over everything I wanted to know and booked her in. read more
