Its also a gorgeous setting inside, clean and professional, convenient parking and location, etc. Joe is one of the nicest guys ever, you can't help but love him. My first time going there, I felt so welcomed by everyone, and his wife (the other owner) even came up and introduced herself and was such a sweetheart. TBH I find that at some the better salons that a lot of the people can be somewhat snobby in a sense, and can make you feel a little bit uncomfortable. But the people at teknik couldn't be any more sweet and friendly. Joe always knows exactly how to give me the hair I dream of, even when I can't pinpoint it myself or describe it fully. They are miracle workers there the price is fair and costs the same as any of the good salons in the area. I'm so grateful that someone I know referred me to teknik, as I had such a difficult time finding the right hairdresser for me since I moved to the area. Every time I went somewhere else prior to finding them, my hair always ended up being underwhelming and sub par. And they'd never be able to give me exactly what I wanted or asked for. But I couldn't be happier with the incredible results I get with Joe from teknik. He always listens intently to everything I want and I love that about him. You can tell he really cares, and has a passion for what he does. As well as being a kind and thoughtful person is such a bonus

Normally I'd hunt around, but having driven past this nearly hidden salon along the river I decided to give it a shot! And boy do they do things right! Not only were those who worked on my hand talented, friendly and inviting. (I'll keep their names private as they know who they are.) but the atmosphere here is wonderful! You're greeted with a smile, given a lovely and comfortable robe, offered drinks from the on-site coffee bar as you get primped and preened! I went a bit outside my comfort zone this time around. Opting to do something a bit more out of my norm than usual and I have to say, I have never been so happy with my hair as I was when I left today and for the first time in a salon, I didn't feel judged on my choices or preferences. Which I more than appreciate. I highly recommend this place to absolutely anyone in cambridge or surrounding area looking for a new salon! I must also add special note to the scalp massage after my toner was done. Pretty sure I was in heaven at that point. It was amazing. Thank you much and expect me back plenty in the future! Alaa gave me a stunning layered style and I received 85 compliments the following day. A couple of weeks later I returned for a correction of my highlight lowlight process. Alaa also gave me some beautiful silver toning for a base as well as a keratin treatment. She is always so polite, an attentive listener and possesses a keen eye for what is suitable on her clients. Although she is young her experience and talent go way beyond her years. My results were stunning. She truly is a miracle worker. I can now proudly walk into a room with pride and self confidence. If I were her employer I would ensure she is paid what she is worth and always appreciated. Thank you Alaa for all that you do and all that you are. You are my hairdresser for life and I would recommend you to anyone looking to receive 110% satisfaction. YOU ROCK GIRL!!!!

First handed she never used scissors to cut my hair, the cut consisted of using some kind of razor. No scissors were used, I requested the back of of my hair to be done with the use of an electric shaver... Anything I requested to have done she totally Missed the mark. At this time im very sick and wanted a style that was short and manageable. Nothing about the style was even close to the pictures I showed her. My hair was uneven and out of control even when I tried to style it my hair never Looked styled properly. I had no other option but to return to have my hair corrected and thanks to Caitlin I feel Like I was heard, she cut it to a style that is manageable and what a difference. The only drawback was I paid over 40.00 for the first cut and when I booked my appointment for the second haircut I was charged a second time as well. So, a hair cut that should of cost me over 40.00 Now cost me another 30.00 to fix Jasnas mistakes. I never had the intentions of paying 70.00 for a style that should have been done correctly the first time.. I dont know about you, but I dont have that kind of money and if I did I certainly would have gone to a reputable salon.
