It is strange to me when Chinese people serve sushi, but it is pretty good here, so that's a plus. The buffet isn't vast, but you can certainly stuff your face and get your money's worth. On that note, THIS PLACE IS A GREAT DEAL!!! Holy moly, for 11 dollars (or whatever it costs) you can really fill up. The steamed crab legs, shrimp and oysters really make it a great value. After eating here, I was surprised this establishment was rated at four stars. Would have been less surprised if it were three. Walking in, customer service was poor. I think it was due to language and communication barriers. No prob. I love Chinese buffet. They have a sushi bar, a dessert section, and a good selection of food. I tried the long green beans - my favorite - however, these were overcooked and bland. Shucks. I tried the potatoes - another favorite - they were good. On the bland side, but good. I tried some fried rice - favorite again - darn! Not good at all. Very bland. Now, I come from California and Hawaii, so trust me when I say I know what fried rice should taste like. The sesame chicken, however, was good. The sushi was good - not premium quality, but good. They also use a lower grade wasabi, you can tell by the texture and taste, so feel free to use more than usual. It is not strong. I most likely would not return or recommend this place because I've experienced much better Chinese buffet restaurants with friendlier service. read more

As Chinese buffets go, this one doesn't stand out, but it is probably the best in the area right now. (The one by the mall that burned down several years ago was the best.) It still doesn't come close to NYC chinese food, but at least the food tastes pretty fresh here. The big selection of sushi is the best thing about it. They actually had prime rib when I was there and it was very good - I gave an extra star for that. The buffet could use a lot more vegetables. read more

I've had better and I've had a lot worse. Like all buffets, I recommend going as soon as the restaurant opens or during peak mealtimes and not at 3pm for the freshest food. The service is ok. My used plates are removed before I return and my drink is sufficiently refilled but the servers don't smile. For the price, I recommend it especially when it includes sushi and prime rib. read more

Have eaten here at all times of the day. Never disappointed. The food is delicious and fresh even 15 minutes before closing. If you don't see what you want at close, just ask. I'm giving this place 1 star because zero isn't an option. The restaurant itself is pretty dismal. 3 or 4 buffets with your every day, run of the mill Chinese buffet food and sushi. I get what what I normally would: a variety of chicken, dumplings/pot stickers, and a few shrimp dishes. After eating a plate of some sort of shrimp, I went back for seconds and I got some sushi and the boiled shrimp on ice. The sushi was dry and bland, but that's not why I'm here. I ate a few of the shrimp when my girlfriend noticed they smelled like ammonia, meaning it was decomposing. Now here I am a few hours later vomiting and having a pretty terrible night. After looking up the health inspections for the place, they have a record of mishandling and storing raw food incorrectly. Do yourself a favor and stay away. read more

While the atmosphere and the staff are very nice, the food was not so great. Most of the dishes on the buffet were dried out from sitting. Also, like many Chinese buffets in the area, the food was overly sweetened. Black pepper chicken and pepper steak are supposed to have a slightly salty taste. These dishes, in particular, were overly sweet. Too much added sugar! The sushi was half and half. Some was freshly prepared while others were dry and chewy. Overall I was not impressed. Most of my friends are Asian and three of them each own a restaurant. I've eaten both Americanized Asian foods and traditional Asian foods. The latter is better, but there are ways to prepare the Americanized versions without sugar... this place should learn how. read more

A typical Chinese Buffet except I found most of the food items to be on the cool to cold side, but the soap was hot. Although the temperature was an issue the quality of the food was poor, to put it into one word, it was all Bland. On the postive side sushi was not bad. I was a visitor to the area and my relatives took my husband and me here, The variety was more than I could even taste so I didn't need more items. Everything was tasty and not overpowering but still spicy enough on the day we were there. The hot and sour soup was one of the best. The shrimp with black bean hot sause was divine. The deserts were the weak link but lichees seem more appropriate than tiramisu anyway. I wished that they were in my neighborhood. Funny thing, I got home and there was a brochure in the mail of a new Chinese, sushi buffet on Lombard in Portland Oregon. We'll go there soon to see if it is as good as First Choice. read more

Went there on a Saturday night around 630, to have some crab legs and they were so overcooked, nobody was eating them! Usually crab legs don't stay out long because people rush to get them. But these were gray and stuck to the shell. When I asked for more to be brought out, because they were overcooked, the manager said they are like that because they come in cooked and that's how they get. He admitted they were old, but still kept them out! But he did bring out some fresh ones to put on top of the old ones. Hardly anyone came to our table to check on us, only to occasionally take our plates. We had to hunt down two workers twice to get refills on our drinks. We set the empty cups at the end of our table, but no one came by to I had to find someone myself. We only got 2 refills that night. And it wasn't even busy! All the food was pretty flavorless and the fried rice was hard. I live in Niceville, but next time I will drive all the way to miracle strip for Chinese buffet. read more

By far the best Chinese food around! Not a lot of sodium and not much if any MSG. GREAT SUSHI prepared fresh. Very clean and friendly atmosphere; would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I can not talk highly enough about the staff and how hard they work. Someone is always asking if you need something and is everything OK. The only way I could see anyone regurgitating their food is by eating too much. That's how good I think this food is, you don't feel like you are going to have a heart attack after eating here like you would find from eating at other Buffets that has a lot of SALT and MSG. Good food, decent price, but the staff rolls their eyes if you go up for seconds. They also have an annoying habit of taking your your glass away to refill it, instead of filling it at the table from a pitcher, or better yet just bringing you a fresh beverage. we have been there for lunch many times. the food has been good and hot. fresh tasting. I took all of the grandkids the other night, everything was cold. there were only 6 people in there. I mentioned something to the waiter, he went in the back ,came out stirred up some food. the chicken was cold and hard. my grand kids complained . they always eat wherever we take them. our sodas were flat,tasted bad. we left and went someplace else to eat. I still paid the bill. my server was tipped. it's not his fault the restaurant is going downhill. maybe it is true panda up by Walmart is getting all of the business. time for them to close. read more

I am very disappointed that I suggested to my daughter who was visiting me. She went in for dinner one evening with her son and the food was cold and not very tasty. She said something to the servers and they made excuses as to why it was cold. She was told they were busy and it was hard to keep the dishes changed out. I wrote a letter on her behalf and took it to the restaurant and gave it to the manager and he asked me to wait while he read it. Once he had read it he started loudly telling me I don't know your daughter and as I tried to tell him who she was he kept getting louder and more rude. Even if she were able to I would not have sent her back up there to be yelled at again. My husband and I had always enjoyed our take out food we got from there, but now I will not go back and will not suggest it to anyone. One other thing that did not have to do with the food was that the floor around the buffet was so wet she almost fell down after slipping on the puddle of water. read more
