They asked me a few questions about what kind of service I needed, told me the estimate was free and we were off. They set up a time at my convience. The day of my appointment, they called and texted me about 15 minutes before they arrived. In The text they gave me the technicians name and a little background on him. His picture also. Dylan arrived on time he looked very professional, was courteous and seemed very knowledgeable. He assessed the task and gave me an estimate in about ten minutes after he arrived. It took him about an hour or so to install my new toilet ( that I had already purchased before hand). The work was A1. Cleaned up after the work was done and took the old toilet with him also. As far as the value that I paid for the service, which I thought to be a little pricey, it was fair I guess. I would definitely use 1-800Plumber + Air again and would request Dylan to be my tech.

ARS told me they wouldn't be able to find the leak so they needed to replace the entire line and they quoted me an astronomical amount. Another company told me it would take 2 weeks to get the leak detection equipment to find the leak. Rich at Dunrite told me that 9 times out of 10 the leak is right where the line connects at the street. He had his guys out the following morning and not only found the leak right away but also realized the leak had been caused by the gas company who had ran new gas lines a couple days prior. Rich went over to the next street where the gas company was working and got the supervisor to show him what he had found. They came to an agreement that it was the gas companies fault so I will get reimbursed! Even if I wasn't getting the money back Rich charged a fraction of the cost and found the issue and did his job instead of making excuses to charge for work that wasn't needed. Rich and his guys went above and beyond and did excellent work. I will hire them every single time I need plumbing work done.

I got a quote from a national plumbing company; they told me I have to replace the entire sewer line in the yard and under the house, requiring them to break up the concrete for a small fee of $30,000! Lots of fearmongering and warnings about the pipes being shot. They didn't even clean one clump of roots because they said they were worried the pipe was cracked underneath. It wasn't! I got a second quote from Formica Plumbing. The plumber, Jeff Poulos, was very honest and wondered why I thought I needed the sewer line replaced. After he cleaned out the roots, he showed me the video live; it looked clean with nothing cracked, broken, or misaligned like the other company had claimed. He did find that the inspection tee in the yard was broken and quoted $5,000 to fix it. A much better quote, but I wasn't done. I called the Cuyahoga County Sewer Department, and they fixed it FOR FREE!!!!! It's something they cover. I am beyond thrilled with this news! I had put down a deposit with Formica and they were very nice about refunding it, Jeff did his due diligence and called the county sewer department to learn more about what and where they cover and is putting it in the company system, so this doesn't happen to customers in the future. I am so pleased with my transaction with Jeff and Formica. They are honest and customer-focused, no scare tactics to get business, and no fixing what isn't broken. I highly recommend them; I will use them for all my plumbing needs. In this day and age, it is so refreshing to find honesty on this level. I feel like I won the plumbing lottery!
