When my check cleared, she filed all of my forms for me and gave me a neatly-packaged copy for my records. I think Hauman was cheaper than H&R Block would have been, but the latter didn't want to give me a quote until they'd looked at my information with a "specialist." It was about $40 dollars more with all of the online fees and advertising that the do it yourself tax prep. software gives you now. While I decided my COBRA benefits are right for me for the next year, Allison was very helpful in walking me through a quote for private insurance (which does have premiums that are LESS THAN HALF of what I'll have to pay for COBRA) and taking care to explain that the private plans do not have an out of pocket maximum.
