Owner wants to reach out over 5 years after the fact and then uses AI to write his response to make him seem more professional. He even has the audacity to call into question my experience as if I'm making it up. Believe it or not, after my experience and seeing how the owner is reaching out NOW, I'm not surprised that he has "no record" of my order from over 5 years ago. As my order got delayed and delayed without any communication only then to insult me over the phone, I wouldn't exactly call this owner "detail oriented." On what planet would I be out to destroy a small business? If I wanted to do that, I just wouldn't use the service, which I don't. The Yelp review is to protect other consumers, not to directly kill the business. The owner seems to be doing that on his own, hence the "concerned owner response" over 5 years later. UPDATE: I only wrote this second review to show the time gap between experience and response from owner. I don't want this guy to come off looking like he cares. He doesn't. Especially now that he's asking me for receipts over 5 years later. FINAL UPDATE: Since this owner refuses to take responsibility, I'll post the meta-data showing we actually did correspond in late 2020. BUYER BEWARE! I'm not alone with this problem, as you can read from other reviews. I order 1/2 cord of eucalyptus with stacking. After Kyle finished I mentioned to him that I think he shorted me. I have 2 four foot racks with one side 36 inches inches high, and the other 40 inches. Neither rack reached the top of the sides. Kyle's response was he loaded a 1/2 cord and that's what you got. The next day I measured each stack and sent the photos to Kyle. His response was, I will drop off 30 pieces of wood on your driveway, but I will never stack your wood again. He also stated that I'm the only customer to watch him stack, which he indicated was weird. My response was, what's wrong with someone watching you stack, unless you are going to deceive the customer. So buyer beware, because you may not get what you paid for. read more

Ordered 1/4 chord pizza oven wood for the first time. Wood was consistent (red/white oak). About 1/5 of the stack was longer than the 18" (per specs) but short enough that it's still usable. I rarely leave a negative review, but this one is a bit unbelievable. I placed my order through PayPal and the telephone that came up on the order was incorrect. PayPal allows you more than one number. The number that came up is not my contact number. They called me and I tried to explain, but the guy kept talking over me and he wouldn't change the number. After his rambling he hung up. I wouldn't have thought it would be that difficult to just change the number on the order. Everything else was correct. After he hung up he sent this. At the end of this I think he's insinuating I'm doing something shady. Great customer service. Just for your information I have plenty of people who place orders with PayPal with the correct phone number to be contacted at. So whether or not you have two phone numbers listed with PayPal if you could only be contacted at one of them, you should delete the other number. . . . . . . . . . I don't know why that's so hard to understand but I keep repeating myself over and over. I placed an order on Oct. 11th with a stated delivery time of 0-5 days. I was contacted on Oct. 14th and told that the earliest delivery date would be Saturday the 18th which was beyond the 0-5 day window. I asked the owner to cancel the order since I would not be home to receive the wood. He cancelled the order but charged me $63 even though he was in breach of contract by not being able to deliver the wood in the promised time. We're camping at Leo Carrillo campground. We'll be here a week. The bundles of wood at the camp store are really small this year. Found the Firewood Guys, easy to schedule via email and text. Wood is a good mix and includes some Oak if you don't want to keep tending your campfire. Only downside, and I blame Calif. State Parks for this, is that they won't allow firewood delivery inside the park. I met them 5 min away, loaded up, and I have my wood for the week at a very reasonable price. read more

I ordered several half cords from this company. The first few were fine. The last one I ordered was notably 'light' in terms of volume (about 20-25%). I measured the stacked wood meticulously. Not a huge problem, as I assumed it was an overnight that could be corrected. But when I contacted the company regarding the less-than-full shipment, I got an earful about how busy they were and how they don't have time to deal with customers 'complaining'... I was unable to get my deliver even though I placed my order two weeks in advance. I understand that due to the fires I was not able to get my delivery. However, my issue is not really that. Despite taking the day off from work, making sure my distance wouldn't be an issue and being notified they would not be showing up only 30 minutes before delivery. It was the fact that At no tome did I feel like the customer. They did respond to my request for quote quickly but took over a week to get back to me when I requested a delivery. I had to reach out to them which was difficult as they don't answer the phone and only text when they want. I was told that they where locked out of their Yelp account, again not my issue, but since no one else got back to me I went with them as the price quoted was fair. After I booked I received no confirmation so I reached out again to make sure there was no problem and we where good. So I'm just really disappointed in the lack of readiness to be a Yelp business, preparedness to handle situations and lack of overall customer service and the fact that I was left with no wood . To be fair after they threw their hands up in the air that morning they did call me back that afternoon and said they may be able to pick up wood from a friends yard. I ordered a full cord of wood for 450.00 delivered. They showed up after dark and dropped the firewood. I paid them and tipped 20.00 . I covered it due to rain in the forecast. I stacked it the next weekend and it was 7 ft long and 4 ft high short of the cord they promised. I guess they are too busy delivering to LA and other places to have time to run down the road. It shouldn't take weeks to get and can't get a price and extras quoted. This was the last time.
