We rented an Enterprise rental for our 2 week long road trip across the country. We needed to get an oil change on our van. The closest Firestone was in Sheridan Wyoming. We scheduled an appointment via telephone and headed to the location. Once we arrived, Marie (who appeared to be unfriendly at first) helped us check in and got us started. They got our van serviced within the hour. She advised us that we will most likely need new tires very soon, but enterprise would not approve the new tires because they still had some tread left. We called on a Tuesday to make an appointment for tire rotation for the next day. My husband talked to a man and he made us an appointment. When we showed up for our appointment, there was a lady at the front desk that said we did not have an appointment. She argued with my husband and said he did not call. He showed her the number he called on his call log on his iPhone, and which was their number and was logged for about a 40 second call (during which he made the appointment the previous day). She did not apologize and we left and went to Les Schwab Tires down the street who took us in immediately. Firestone lost a good customer. What poor customer service! We have three vehicles and would have been great customers for them. read more

My husband and I were on our way from Yellowstone on a long trip home to Illinois when we had a problem with our truck we limped to a hotel for the night and went to DuAll in Sheridan WY. They found our problem right away and even tho they were totally booked for the day they managed to get us the part we needed and fixed us up by that afternoon and we were on our way. Sam and his team were incredibly helpful, and I cannot thank them enough for helping us through a miserable situation. We were driving to Wisconsin from Seattle, and as we were heading eastbound on I-90 late at night in the middle of Wyoming, a black bear ran out across the road. We braked hard, but it still hit the passenger side of my Mazda CX-5, causing mostly cosmetic damage but forcing us to stop our road trip and get towed to Buffalo and then Sheridan. Luckily, nobody in the car was injured. In the midst of negotiating with insurance, dealing with tow truck companies and state patrol, an immense amount of anxiety about getting home in time for the start of work and classes, and on a Sunday of Labor Day weekend no less; Sam offered professional, honest help. He listened to our situation, explained the issues he saw with our car, gave us a review of several options, and worked to make sure that our car was safe enough to drive back to Wisconsin. He did this without trying to sway our decision or racking up extra charges on our bill. He and one other employee helped us and several other customers in an very timely manner and with a good sense of humor and integrity. If you are ever unfortunate enough to need emergency repair anywhere near Sheridan, Wyoming, (or any mechanic work for that matter), I highly recommend visiting this location! After a horrible experience at the Bozeman Firestone, I decided to take my vehicles to the Sheridan Firestone. (I live in Billings, MT.) From start to finish this Firestone in Sheridan is one of the best automotive businesses that I have ever been to. ALL of the staff were friendly... yes ALL! My Dad and I wanted to eat breakfast when they would be working on my vehicles and Sam made mention of a wonderful local breakfast place and he did not disappoint! The intelligence, honesty and dedication to their job emanates, and gives you a sense of comfort knowing you are in good hands. Our experience with Sam and his crew with my vehicles were above and beyond what I expected. We felt like family. You also know they are a big deal when couples from Colorado drive all the way to Sam's Firestone to have their car worked on too. Says something about a business. My car started to give me trouble after seeing Mt. Rushmore and then the Needles Highway on my journey between Massachusetts and Washington. I tried to get service in Gillette, Wyoming, but everyone was booked solid. I made it to Sheridan following the advice of the guy at Bud's Auto - no problem getting service that day. Sam was super nice. He helped me get my two cats into the lobby and setup for the wait. I wanted to be with friends in Bozeman, but I was stuck in Sheridan at the mercy of a mechanic. All things considered, it went pretty well. Sam managed my expectations well, telling me exactly what my car needed, giving me price options. Everyone seemed to respond well to the cats. Sam and his staff saved our vacation. In the middle of nowhere on our way to Sheridan our tire blew out after hitting a ratchet strap on a two lane highway outside of Rock Springs. With no Lexus dealerships, we had to call several towns to see if they had this special low profile tire. After calling many tire shops and two Toyota dealerships... Sam and his staff went out of their way by using their resources to locate and order a tire for me. They also were so kind and submitted our claim with Lexus 'tire and wheel' hazard protection. When waiting for the tire to be replaced, met so many kind locals that also knew Sam and staff by name. Highly recommend this shop. read more

We were on a road trip heading south from our last waypoint, Little Bighorn and our car, a beefy 2003 Maroon Chevy Tahoe started experiencing electrical problems. We showed up on Sunday at 3:45 pm, an hour and 15 minutes before they closed, unfortunately their head technician was not working and his back up was on vacation, we were told to come back the next morning and that hopefully the head technician would be working. We stayed at a local hotel and got some bourbon to hold us over for the evening and help brace ourselves for the single digit temperatures and winter weather. The next morning we brought the Tahoe back in and the technician was able to diagnose a ground that had degraded, he was able to replace it. He actually ran across the street amid his work to an auto part store and picked up the part he needed. All in all he did a fantastic job and the service was timely once the proper tech was actually present. read more

Our daughter came home on Father's Day to visit her alternator went out, so we replaced it from with a one from O'Reillys. My husband and I were traveling to Sheridan WY to pick up our daughter to move her back to Colorado. So on our travels up to get her it went out again. so we called O'Rileys to get our money back for the original alternator but without the core they couldn't help us even though it was only a month old. So I Called Jerry At firestone for some help, he called O'Reilly's and explained the test his tech preformed and the results. unfortunate without a receipt he couldn't help me Either. I offered to fax the original receipt to him And he said he would go Personally to them And try his best to help get our Money back. Our car broke down outside of Buffalo on a Sunday before 4th of July. These guys were one of the few to answer their phone at about 5pm and get us in the very next morning. They assessed the problem quickly (an alternator), gave us recommendations on how to save a little money on this very expensive job, and fixed it in half the time they quoted us. The staff was friendly and gave us recommendations on things to do that helped entertain our kids while we waited. Very friendly, helpful, and good at what they do. read more

The people here are amazing! We were traveling from Montana to Colorado for a surgery and on a rather tight schedule when our car broke down in Sheridan. Firestone was open (on a Sunday!) and initially were told that they couldn't fix the car until Tuesday. Well, as we were making other arrangements, the manager called in the diagnostic person To take a look at the car. He Came! My girlfriend and I were moving from DC to San Francisco so we were driving across the country in a Toyota 4 runner while towing a large u haul trailer. We were driving up a steep mountain highway when we pulled over and the hood of the car started smoking and hissing; we got out and fluid was leaking all over the ground. Naturally we had to get the car towed and was told we were being towed to Firestone in Sheridan bc it was one of the few mechanics open on Memorial Day. We were a little skeptical due to the one star review. However, we were greeted by Billy who was cheerful, kind, and very sympathetic to our situation. Sam W took over investigating what was wrong w the car. We grabbed lunch, went for a walk, and came back and was told by Sam w that they fixed the problem and he didn't want to keep us there all day bc he knew we were trying to move out to California and assured us our car was in good shape to go back on the road. He gave us some tips and told us several times to call them when we got to California to let them know we got there OK and to go over what we needed our new mechanic to do to keep the car running smoothly going forward. If your a young female DO NOT GO HERE. Their phrase "making you safe" is actually a complete rape on your wallet and your time. They will find every minute thing to "fix" and then charge incredible amounts. I was not impressed with my three hour wait and $120 charge to fix my single flat tire and a single missing bolt. read more
