I needed…read moreto get my transmission fluid and filter replaced for my warranty, it was a mistake on my part I did not catch the due mileage in time and went over a bit. I do get my oil changed every 3000 miles when warranty requires 5000 because I do take care of my truck, too expensive not too. Well they said they would "misread" my mileage so it would keep my warranty valid. I dropped by on Monday to make sure my truck would be services on Friday as it was when they could schedule me in, they did not tell me they would accommodate my request then or at our first conversation either. Picked it up on Friday and the counter guy said he could not change the milage because it was wrong to do so. But lying to me that he would is quite acceptable in his mind apparently. The owner came over and started telling me about its a battle repeatedly until I told him we are not in a battle we have a disagreement that's all. He raised his voice and kept telling in about its a battle in business and I don't understand and kept ranting on and on. I told him it was ultimately my fault because I missed the milage but I would have gone somewhere else that would done my request. If I wasn't able to find another company I would have just done it myself because it would be out of warranty anyway and save myself $660 which was my bill, pretty excessive actually.

Car Care & Repair LLC used the FIRST $126 to rack up a potential profit of $1,1817.30, minus $713 for two rear Continental tires. The remaining EXPLORATORY let-us-find-other-unrelated-BS-concerns-to-sell-you included the following replacements: cabin air filter ($133.56), engine air filter element ($215.47), Engine Coolant Expansion tank ($54.86), "BFLUSH" or break fluid flush ($120.43), Oil and filter change, synthetic ($134.53), and "align EURO" ($159.95). None of this had any relation to the check engine light, which O'Reilly diagnosed for free with the code for emission leak, generally related to a loose gas cap. So, Car Care & Repair, LLC, charges the SECOND $126 fee to diagnose the original problem, and claims the cost involved tools and equipment to locate the problem, which everyone knows is the cost of doing business. I had taken my vehicle to get them to repair a power steering fluid leak, they wanted $70 just to…read morelook at it. The leak at the time I brought it to them it was a slow leak where I could drive about 150 miles before I had to refill the power steering reservoir. They called later the same day and told me that the pinion section of the rack had a hairline crack that was causing the leak. I had told the lady at the counter when I checked in that if the repair cost was over $250 that they were to call me before work. I was told that it would cost $1300 to install a new one and I told them that was more than expected. I asked them to put it back together and I'd be there to pay the $70 and drive it home. This shop was mad because I didn't want to pay them $1300 where I can buy a new rack and pinion unit for $170 and install it myself !! Don't do any business with these people, their crooks!!!

I Revisited Mavis Tire And Brakes On June 2, 2026. And after receiving my Vehicle Back From Mavis and being told that it only needed some grease, I drove my vehicle to test their work and service and all that I got was worse squealing than I had when I initially brought it in on May 6, 2026.
