My son's car blew out a tire last week, and the tow truck driver was supposed to drop his car at Belle Tire. He had just had his tires replaced about 3 months prior at Belle Tire. Somehow, it wound up at Firestone. When he called on his car, they hooked him up with two cheap replacement tires. My son has AWD, so they can't just replace one tire. Anyway, they also took it upon themselves to do a complete auto check. And they told my son that his car had NO oil! .... And that the power steering fluid was low.... And that the brake fluid was low.... Etc. Funny, since the oil was changed the prior month at our mechanic of more than 20 years. At that time, our mechanic completely redid the brakes, changing out a master cylinder. That mechanic has also done major work to the car, and they gave it the a-okay that prior month. Also funny, since Tuffy Auto, right down the street from Firestone had just replaced the drive shaft and a portion of the exhaust system just a week or two prior, and they did a complete fluid check on the vehicle at that time. All of the fluids were fine! This operation is SHADY!!! When my son decided to forgo auto work by this company, the person behind the counter said to him "I hope you have a quart of oil." I truly believe they drained my son's car of oil!! Thankfully, he only needed to drive around the corner for service. He took the vehicle back to Tuffy, where the auto technicians there were baffled that there was NO OIL in my son's vehicle! It made absolutely no sense to them, since they just saw the vehicle and the fluid levels were good. They looked the car over, and there was no damage or leak, and the car was NOT burning oil. They performed another oil change on the vehicle. They also checked all the other fluid levels and found them to be good...NOT low as the people at Firestone reported. Since the visit to Tuffy, we have also had the car into our family mechanic. They have also verified that all fluid levels are good. There was NO reason for the motor to suddenly have no oil. I would NEVER trust my vehicle to Firestone on Bay Road. Companies like this one are the reason auto companies have a bad reputation! read more

Blew a tire on our camper last night had it towed here. They opened at 7 am when I called. It took them three hours to tell me they didn't have the right tools . Needless to say it is not a "complete auto center". read more

I would check elsewhere for any kind of automotive maintenance. Without even having a technician look at my vehicle, I was notified that I needed new brake rotors ($217) a week after they replaced my brake pads ($117) and said things were fine. read more

These guys can't do an alignment without leaving your steering wheel crooked. it blows my mind. Returned multiple times and they just can't do it. Ended up asking for a refund and took my vehicle to a shop that hires guys smart enough to make sure the steering wheel is straight before aligning the front. Firestone will align your front end, but will not pay any attention to the position of the steering wheel. Very unprofessional. read more

Had a great experience here! After I ended up with a nail in the sidewall of my tire, I spent a lot of time researching tires in the tri-city area. I ended up at Firestone for high quality tires for a very reasonable price! Was very pleased with the service and salesman. Will continue to visit for future car repairs and maintenance. read more

Don't go there ever. My engine light was on so I went to Firestone for a check-up/quote to get my car fixed. They asked for a ridiculous fee of $89 to check my engine light so I left and got a free check-up from AUTOZONE. read more

This place is a sham. I have many years of mechanical experience from working with my dad of 40+ years of rebuilding cars. While in college and having a job to help pay, I don't always have the time to break down my car especially in the inconsistent Michigan winter weather. I have a beloved 215+ mile '06 Grand Prix that's surely seen better days. Its been kept consistent running throughout its life because of the maintenance by me or my dad. It could be anything like water pump, brakes, rotors, timing chain, gaskets, exhaust parts, axels, rack and pin, alternators, spark plugs the whole spectrum. Can literally build it all from scratch. I knew a couple things like the wheel barring was going out.Yet I simply didn't have the time to break down the car myself. Especially with finals going on at the time adding a little bit more stress. They offer to replace those too for what I knew what was somewhat of a ridiculous price of $700+. When the parts themselves cost almost 3x less. An $80 timken wheel bearing for my model suddenly becomes $220+ dollars but you know whatever... I decided to roll the dice and give this place a try. EVER since I got back the car it hasn't been running right. Then all of the sudden not a month later my rotors and brakes start to go, I take it back to them after the semester ends because the car wasn't showing any of these symptoms before and on top of that it felt like they never replaced the bearing in the first place. After a vehicle inspection fee of $10. I get the car back and it can't even go past 30mph. Making all kinds of embarrassing squeals and screeches. HORRIBLE! read more

As long as you know what needs to be done, these guys are okay. Of course, they'll try to sell you tires and other preventative maintenance. Location is great to drop off your car and walk over to the mall. Prices are decent, not great. They have printable coupons on their website. read more

i had a o2 sensor put in two months later went out again too it somewhere else and they said the part was old and way over two months. i called firestone and they had no comment i will never go back and recomend you dont go there as well read more
