I am no longer working at the restaurant and the house I was living in with the mold where I had to leave my dogs. The owner suddenly passed away February 9 now I'm faced with having to find a place that will accept to pitbulls along with no income car payments are getting behind I owed $1140. He talks me into putting a mechanics lien on my car to help me get on my feet. It's wrong it's fraud but I was desperate I agreed I find out from a letter when I go to take my dogs out of the moldy house that they're still living in that the bank has possession of my vehicle. He didn't even call me to tell me they picked it up. They paid $5700 for my car that he did not fix not to mention when I drop the car off I left them with $150 , at this point, I go by the shop and that's when he tells me he has cancer with his red blood cells. I asked what kind he gives me no name tells me he has to contact his company and he will call me tomorrow at this point he still not contacting me. I show up at the shop again. I'm told he didn't show up. He's in the hospital. I park around the corner five minutes later only to see Henry pull up to lock up his shop , he took me on a high-speed chase at one point I even asked him to not put the lien on it or withdraw it. She informed me that the battery in my vehicle was dead and that they had to charge it, which took the whole day (RED FLAG). She also informed me that to diagnose the problem, it would be about 4 hours at $169 per hour (another RED FLAG); it does not take that long to put a vehicle on the machine to find out the problem. I thought all along that was what was being done. I was told that she would text me some papers to sign to give them permission to do the diagnostic, and I agreed for only 1 hour at $169. I called back on day 3 for more updates; Zee informed me that my vehicle was still waiting to be diagnosed and that it would not be done until the following Monday because of Thanksgiving and that they are not open on weekends. The shop is open at 7:30 am, and a message was left on my phone at 5:47 am telling me that she had new information on my vehicle (REALLY!). If the shop is open at 7:30 am, how could they have information about my vehicle before that time? (RED FLAG). I called the shop just to be told that I would have to pay $1195.00 for them to diagnose my transmission. At this point, I told Zee that I would be coming for my vehicle. I requested a printout for the diagnostic they claimed was done. I went home and viewed it, only to find out that nothing was done, and they dated the paper for day number 2, even though they initially told me that nothing could have been done until Monday. I called and spoke to Zee, who was very rude and hung up the phone on me. They also deliberately broke my key fob, and now I can open or close the door of my vehicle unless I remove the key from the fob. I took my vehicle to another shop, and I got the problem fixed for only $125. The problem was just the transmission pressure switch. I would advise everyone to get a second or even a third opinion. And please be aware of AAMCO. They are not truthful and will lie to you just to get your money.

I found this shop via a facebook ad -- and read the reviews on Yelp which were mostly 4-5 stars. I…read morebrought in my SUV for a possible throttle body problem that another shop couldn't repair. (Vehicle wouldn't drive over 10mph due to its' engine design) I also chose them because they offered free towing. I explained my problem on the phone and they said they'd do a diagnosis of their own. So had them come pick up my SUV. It took them a few days to figure it out, and they eventually they discovered it was the transmission not being able to go into 4th gear and confirmed that it was not my throttle body. Now, I needed my transmission rebuilt!! Since they had me up on the rack already and the car wouldn't drive, I didn't want to be without a vehicle for emergency reasons, so I agreed to their repair quote. (Seemingly way over priced @$99/hr labor charges). That took about a week to fix, and to their credit they even discovered that in the process of fixing it another transmission problem happened while they were repairing it and fixed that under their warranty. Much appreciated. While they had the vehicle I inquired about fixing a clicking noise from behind my dash dealing with the air flow actuators. They said they could fix it. They figured out what was wrong and got me a price -- a few hundred, but not bad considering, so I approved the additional costs. Here's how they lost 4 stars and any future business. When I came to pickup my SUV -- I noticed that the dash was damaged and had a long crack in it and a piece was chipped off. This was obviously from their attempts to diagnose and fix the air flow issue. The dash had clear signs of recent damage due to being forced or something stressing the plastic such as pressure from trying to pry off the trim, leaning or dropping something on it. When I asked them about it (Mike, owner or manager, not sure) - they said that they didn't break it and tried to explain where they actually did the work, which was in the driver's leg area. I assured them that it was not broken when the took possession of the vehicle. They refused to take ANY responsibility!!! When I pushed if they could get a replacement part they refused. Mike said they'll install the part for me for free if I found the part. They wouldn't even consider reimbursing me for the part. WTF sort of Bull Sh*t is that? So, if they accidentally punctured my gas tank would that would be my problem too??? NO! I bet they would fix it on their own and chalk that up to cost of doing business. Subsequently -- when I got home and researched how to remove this trim part - found out that it's a very easy process to remove it. It was obvious that they had NO CLUE on how to remove the trim to access behind the dash, and probably didn't even attempt to look it up online. I also discovered that a 2nd piece of trim was also damaged in attempting to make the quested repair. The worst and most insulting unprofessional part of all this is that they didn't even have the balls to let me know this happened in advance. What did they think - I wouldn't see a crack on my dash that I drive daily?? So Mike -- what do you have to say about this? It will be a cold day in hell before I use them again. I suggest you stay away too.

Anyway I found this place on Groupon and it was only five minutes from my regular place, well I stumbled upon a Gem. I was greeted by Chris and he immediately helped me was very courteous listened to my concerns (other than the oil change) and was absolutely helpful. My car was taken care of in no time, they did my AC by adding Freon and also gave me an estimate (very fair and reasonable)on other work which needs to be done. I will definitely go back and the customer service was wonderful, the place is very clean and even had refreshments to offer and . The lady in the back I can't remember her name, but she also was very friendly; it seems to be a family owned place, which I like. So to sum this regular place however they could not fit me in and I wanted it done on the spot.
