I'm extremely disappointed with the service my wife received at the Firestone Complete Auto Care center in Lemont. She went in simply needing air in a tire and to check whether there was a nail--something quick and straightforward. This was her second visit, and she had our 2.5-year-old child in the car. An older employee approached her and immediately told her that if there was a nail, it couldn't be patched or plugged. She said that was fine and just asked if they could add some air so she could return another day, as it was already around 6 PM. He hesitated but eventually added air--then made rude hand gestures implying "don't come back," and that they would not help her with air anymore or patch her tire, and that she "needed a new tire." No customer should ever be treated this way, especially someone who lives in the area and comes in for basic assistance. The behavior was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. We will not be returning, and I hope management addresses this kind of conduct immediately. read more

First time coming here. I actually haven't been to a Firestone in about 6 years just because I prefer taking my car to the dealership for maintenance. I came here since there was a strike that's been going on for months and I was overdue on alot of service. The best thing about this place is its availability it has. I had absolutely no issues booking an appointment online and I was able to get my car in finally. Price wise, it's quite pricey if you're asking to get real maintenance done or things replaced. Some things were discounted too which eased my worries a bit. The staff was courteous to have my car stay overnight and were transparent through out the whole process. What I didn't like was the up sell they did when they called me and I told them not to replace the wipers. They did and charged me for it. I asked the staff to do my brakes and I didn't get that serviced. Besides the much higher than anticipated bill and a few small unimportant details, My car is at least all taken care of which is what I'm more happy about. read more

This place is a little meh. I'm rounding up to two stars because my parents recommended it to me and they take both of their vehicles there, so I figure they have to be doing something right. I was visiting from out of town, and didn't want to continue my road trip without a fresh oil change/tune up. I ran in to two issues while I was there. First, I was super excited when I called at they said they could provide an oil change at 4pm. I had plans to go out and I knew that even if they took longer, it'd still be good in time. Fast forward to me arriving there at 4 and they're well behind schedule (read 90 minutes behind schedule) so it'll be a while before they get to my car. I was told I should understand because as the day goes on, more people come in and ask for things to get done. I surely do understand, but they should be bumped to be served later as I planned ahead when they did not. Second, they called to tell me they were almost done, but there were three issues with my car. As I have my car routinely worked on, I know that not one of those was an actual issue, they were just trying to get more bang for the buck. This includes the fact they said my tires are badly worn (they're not) after only 6k miles of use. Really? Come on. I may be female but I am not that stupid. Stupid annoying service and slow as anything. I'm happy to be back home now and actually get proper service for my car. read more

Upon entering this establishment, the punk at the desk was not even wearing a mask. As an immunocompromised man, this imposes such a health risk for me, and the others around me. You need to take into consideration we are going through an ongoing PANDEMIC and people are dying left and right. Wear a mask and stop being so selfish. They suggested we buy a new tire. She decided to go to a different auto service shop and they had no problem patching the tire. We won't be going back to a business we can't trust. read more

Made an appointment for an oil change, and it was four days out. Got there at 7:30, gave them my keys and told them I was going to walk at the park district till they were done. Well, I put in almost 4 miles and still no call. Went grocery shopping still no call. Got there at 9:09 and they said, "Uh, you're next up. We only have one jack working. Sorry." My feeling is that they could have told me when I brought in the car, or any time over the three days previous. What they had said, twice, is that an oil change would take an hour. This doesn't seem like a good way to do business. All they'd have to do was give me a realistic time frame. Communication, people! Went here to have tire repaired (nail in 2 month old tire). Repaired tire, although it cost more than the dealer. Within 3-4 months, started leaking air again. Brought it back, they acknowledged the leak was at the repair site but didn't stick by their repair, instead told me it was their policy to replace the tire (~$300). Asked to speak w/manager but never got a call back. 2 weeks later, I got a sales call pushing a "sick deal" on the new tire I was quoted. I wasn't good enough to get a response from the manager related to their faulty repair but was targeted for a sales call. BS! I like to support local businesses but will NOT be returning here & suggest you avoid them, too. read more

Incredibly disappointed. Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance for an issues to get fixed with the car. The worker that made the appointment didn't ask for a name, or phone number; just the cars model. Today was the appointment, got there on time and was told there is going to be a wait. The wait time you may ask?... My appointment was at noon, they told me I'll have to wait until 6pm to be seen. No apology, or explanation was given. When I called back to have the work done, they could not fit me in, so I tried a different Firestone closer to me and that Firestone said I needed a totally different part to the tune of $2300. Went in for an alignment, the guy working confirmed that there were no additional charges on the internet price I mentioned. But of course when my credit card was charged, another charge for "supplies" was added. When I asked what this was he told me he doesn't know, and when I asked why he didn't tell me when I asked to begin with, he said it wasn't on his screen. So he pulls it back up to show me. I point it out and tell him it is on his screen and again asked what it was for. He tells he still doesn't know and "I don't look at that part of the screen." I'm sorry, WHAT?? So they are trained to ignore additional costs when the customer asks, as if they're not there because he doesn't look at that part of the screen??? What am I paying for?? Have called customer service twice now, have a complaint number and was told both times I would hear from someone within 48 hours. Never received any call. Stay away or beware of extra meaningless charges that's not on the "part of the screen he looks at" but charges you for them. read more

I have been a customer of Fitestone for 15 years and a customer at Lemont for over 10 years. I bring in 4 vehicles for tires and oil changes. A Ford E250 van, Toyota Corolla, Chevy Camaro Convertible, and a Ram pickup. I was going to start bringing in 2 new vehicles which are a Kia Niro and a Chevy Malibu. But today I went in to get tires for my Corolla. I had spoken to Mike on the phone and explained to him that I wanted the all season Firestone 65000 mile tires but I had seen them elsewhere for less and wondered if he would match the price. I had to give him all the information multiple times because he wasn't writing it down and he could not remember anything. He finally agreed to match the quote and save me a few bucks. Sounds great. He tells me to bring in the quote. I get there and try to show it to him on my phone and he says he needs it on paper. Hello its 2019! I told him I could email it to him right then and there and he says no go somewhere and get it printed! What? If I email it to you you can print it if you need it printed. What a total jerk this guy was. He was a very old guy( I am 60 and he looked much older than me) so maybe he does not understand computers or emails. Anyway this jerk has now cost Firestone my business. I have been going to ths location for 10 years and all the managers were very cool and new me well because of all the business I myself brought there not to mention all the people I have referred there. Not anymore. I was surprised when I drove in and there were not a bunch of cars parked waiting for service as in the past. Now I understand why. I'm very surprised at the first review, I was not satisfied with my second visit (shame on me for not learning the first time..), but the guy helping me out pretended to know everything even though he was no help at all. You can't force someone to buy more tires if I ONLY WANT ONE. Don't tell me to buy two, don't tell me to buy more expensive ones - they don't belong on a car that's simple to the point of taking me to and from work. In the end, I did not purchase anything from them, and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND them to anyone. GO TO JUST TIRES - better service, much nicer workers, and their prices are unbeatable. read more

This is the only place I will ever take my vechicle. Every person that works there is professional and helpful. I recently failed my emissions test due to an oil change I received at the Jiffy Lube next door where they reinstalled my air filter incorrectly. Firestone diagnosed the problem and fixed it for no charge. Although I am sure other Firestone locations are just as great, I live in the city and drive my care 45 minutes just to deal with this location. Went in for an alignment. The original and reasonable cost of about $110 quickly changed to $1360 when i get a call for a long list of required and suggested services to be performed prior to the alignment. Picked my vehicle up instead and took it down the street where the original service was performed efficiently for slightly less than $110 with no issues. Even checked on the "issue" and everything was in check. This is the second time Firestone has pulled this. Unfortunate, but my family and I will no longer be visiting after a long period of being returning customers. Thank you for the waste of time during the week. read more

Only go here for cheap oil changes.... Two situations I went here to get new tires. I dropped the car off here, left to work out then came back. When I returned the porter peeled out with my car and drove it down 127th st at least 35-40 mph. The porter was taking sharp turns and I felt the car was out of control. When I confronted the Firestone workers for an explanation, the porter said "sorry about that I had to get the new tag off the new tires." Terrible #2 My headlight burnt out and had Firestone replace it, total was 11 bucks. Six months later my other bulb burnt out, I asked them for a quote and they said $75 bucks. I don't understand the price hike in 6months. Inconsistent work and prices......Ill take my car to the shop 1/2 block down. read more

I was about to bring my car here for an alignment for $159.99, the guy said I was getting $40.00 off. He then gave me the work order to sign and it said $200.00. He told me he was charging me a $40.00 service tax for "inspecting" the vehicle. Just so people know under Illinois law, the parts in the repair are taxable, but the labor is not. I had to get my tires delivered to a Firestone, which was not my first choice but only option from the website I ordered my tires at. I got there and was told it would take 1-1.5 hours for a straight tire change. Longer than I expected as I have gotten many tires in my life and it usually takes 30-60 minutes. It took 2 hours as I had, key word is had, o'clock nuts on my tires. I told them that the key was in the glove box. They opened the box and didn't see it so they had to cut them off or whatever they do because the key was under the owners book. Now I have to spend another $20 for new lugs or even more if I want locking lugs. I called to tell him it was in the glove box as soon as I got in the car and drove away and he made it seem like I was the jerk. Did not offer to discount me for my added cost and hassle. I've been to this place about 4 times in the past few years. The sales manager, Ted, helped all of those times and made sure that I was informed and satisfied with the service. There was never any pressure to buy anything and I always felt like I was getting extra for my money. I went in one time because my under body cover was hanging off, completely willing to pay, and they took care of it for free. Had an appointment for $18.99 oil change this morning for a 2017 Lincoln. So I'm not sure if it's because I'm a women, or if it was because I have a new Lincoln, but the guy starts giving me this story that "this car only takes a pure synthetic oil etc....etc...etc" that would make the oil change cost $78!! I told him that I thought the dealership would do it cheaper and left. When I got home I looked at the owners manual and it just takes a regular synthetic blend that the $18.99 coupon would worked for. Beware of these fast talkers! read more

The workers here are nothing but professional and believe it or not - do care about the safety of your car as well not having any "come backs" ... so of course they do their best to do the complete job, 100% the first time. I also cant believe some of the bad reviews.... I have a 2005 Monte SS with 145,000 miles... needless to say a lot starts going wrong.... They have done a fantastic job for me, from Major engine repair,Tuneup, emissions, fuel pump, air conditioning, sensors, the list goes on, They always hit the mark, & never sold me something I didn't need... they worked hard to keep the cost down, & they did the work right the 1st time.... I'm fairly knowledgeable about cars and used to do a lot of my own work back in the day, I always had a mistrust when it came to repair shops from my past experiences,,, In the last few years of dealing with Lemont Firestone, I can honestly say I trust them & there work.... Great job guys & thanks for keeping my old Monte running great.. PS: They also use genuine OEM parts, a little more $... but better then the cheap knockoff that other places use...
