Brought car in today to check out tires that I purchased in Jan 2025. Tires not covered on warranty because I needed an alignment mind you, I purchased a lifetime alignment in 2024 why they didn't do the alignment when I purchased the new tires I have no idea. So now I'm ok with purchasing 2 new tires, but they wouldn't price match what I paid 4 1/2 months ago. I called customer service and was told it will take 3 to 5 business days to get a response from someone. The mgr at the store suggested I go back to the Firestone where I purchased which is 40 miles away. Why go through all that when it's the same company name. Definitely will be going to discount tires for all my tire needs. I called discount tires and they offered to replace the 2 tires at the price I purchased them at Firestone for, because they felt bad for me and what I'm going through with Firestone. read more

I came in for an oil change and an alignment and had a great experience. I made an appointment and was seen right away. Since I chose to wait, I got some work done on my computer in a super chill atmosphere. The whole process took less than an hour, and I was out the door. This Firestone is the worst Firestone in Houston... their customer skills are totally unacceptable for a community based mechanic shop. This location has been there since the 70s and and it is highly unacceptable for their customer care. Today there was a guy with a ball head that worked between 10 AM came in with a really frustrated behavior towards customers. I was getting my jeep serviced and he did not make eye contact nor did he place my keys in my hand. They took my car to the back to getting inspected and the front desk worker that came in at 10 AM. Demanded that I walk through the back through the mechanic area to get my car. Walking through a hazardous area is not something you allow customers to do. If I was heard on their property, I would have been privy to a lawsuit for their stupidity. When I arrive there at 7 AM, the customer service was much better, kind and understanding and very helpful to the people in the neighborhood. Coming to get help. It would be nice if you guys let him go. He was also a ball head, Hispanic worker. I tried to get his name tag, he did not have one. I then asked him for his name and he didn't give it. I was very disappointed with Firestone's communication. I dropped my truck off at 8am for a diagnosis and warranty claim. It took 8 hours, me calling twice (3hrs apart each time), and showing back up in order to get any answers and a quote. I decided to pay the diagnostic fee (which is more than my deductible to fix the issue I went in for) and take my business else where. I went to a competitor location and in 30 mins they had my truck diagnosed and everything handled with my warranty. I made the right chose by going elsewhere. read more

So I hit a pothole and messed up my rear suspension. The next day I took it to Firestone and Frank was very helpful. They inspected my car and found that the required work was more than they could do there. Frank was very caring as he told me this news and gave me a recommendation of a place to take it. I went here because my battery was dying, it was an Interstate battery out of warranty but still in the pro rate stage. The service was awesome inside, they service writer got me in right away and checked everything out, saw it was only the battery and got the battery from the back to put in the in truck. The mechanic was somewhat brain dead though. The service writer told him to replace the battery and he kept arguing with the service writer about wanting to check the truck first. The service writer kept telling him that he already ran all the tests and determined it was the battery and to just replace the battery. The mechanic finally decided to stop arguing and even though his hand was on the new battery most of the conversation, he still went into the back and grabbed another new battery. When the service writer told him he already go the battery right there in front of him to put in my truck, the mechanic was like whatever. They did not seem to want to rip you off, only to do what needed to be done to get your vehicle back on the road. As with all places, you just have to be aware of what is going on and make sure they are paying attention as well. When in the Houston area, I would definately go back to this place for service as the front office is AWESOME and friendly. I saw no reason to go anywhere else. read more

I brought my vehicle to be worked on.. only for me to pick the vehicle up and it's still having the same problems I brought it in for... Mechanic was nice and knowledgeable, but that doesn't help me after I just spent $500 on a repair to leave me in the same spot. I also wasn't aware that you still have to pay the Diagnosis Fee after getting the work complete. I Will not be going back to Firestone for any Auto Care needs. read more

Should have listened to the reviews. Don't get go here. Two days ago I had an appointment and got all 4 brand new tires. Have not been out my house these two days. Tell me why I have a flat? I called expecting them to apologize and ask me to come in and for them to check ASAP. Nope, no remorse. Told me to make an appointment or to come as a walk in and for me to wait. I don't got that time, not to mention now I have to figure out how to put my spare on instead. Oh but they will run you up the $1k real quick. Im soooo pissed. Why else are we paying??? BIG FAT ZERO STAR!!!!!! Horrible!!!!!! My 16 year old son took his car to these men to find out why the car wouldn't start without being jumped off. After they had his car for a few hours My SON called them to see if it was ready. It had been ready but no one called. The guy then tells my son it's the alternator and it'll be a few hundred dollars to fix. We picked up the car (it started without a jump). I told my son wait until dad gets home and we'll talk about it. Needless to say my husband said there was no way it could be the alternator and drive the distance we had been driving it. After taking it to AutoZone all it was was the battery. It's running great now. But Firestone was going to rip my son off for close to 500.00 and of course charged him a $25 diag fee. Very upset with this place... First time I came here the guy who changed my oil put conventional oil in my vdub without consulting with me and my turbo engine completely burned up. I had to take it to the dealer and get a full system flush and *bunch of car jargon* Ended up costing me around 500 just to fix it. Year later decided to give them a second chance. BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!!!! I counted 7 employees working and 2 cars in the garage including mines... Before I got serviced I asked how long it would take to get my tires rotated to which he replied "not long at all we can see ur car right away" One hour later I'm still waiting. My cars just sitting there. Got 3 guys playing on their cell phone. One watchin tv. No one working on my car. Will definitely not come back here nor will I recommend anyone to here. My H-ride was in need of an oil change and tire rotation after all the crazy miles I've been putting on it as of lately and I figured why not try a place close to home? I stopped in just after 7 this morning and they had my car in a bay within 10 minutes. My lady got her oil changed, her legs shaped up and they even checked the brakes - which thankfully I haven't worn out yet! I recently took my truck there because my a/c was going in and out. They quoted me almost 2000 dollars and blamed it on the prices of the parts from the dealership. I called the dealership parts department and found out they were lying about the prices from the dealer. Since they were lying about that I decided to get a second opinion. I went to Meineke on Uvalde and within 5 minutes of me telling him what it was doing. He had already told me the problem and without a 1hr 1/2 wait. The problem was the fan and not any of the things they said. It cost me 250 dollars and it has been 3 months since then and still no problems. They are crooks and should be in jail for robbery. I wish I could give no stars. First off these clowns are not mechanics, and I wish I would have known before I wasted my time and money. Rude, unprofessional and arrogant are a few words to describe the guys that work there. Went in for my car running hot and air not cooling. I came out with a $600 tune-up, only to find out less than a week later the head gasket was blown. I had a horrible experience with firestone and ended up loosing my car and being treated horribly by the company afterwards. I had an older vehicle but it was up to date in every check up, very well taken care off. My problem started about a month and a half ago, the engine light turned on so I took my car to firestone immediately to get it checked, they charged me $99 for a "complete diagnostic" which took them less than 10 mnts and then charged me around $665 more to fix the thermostat because it was broken. I payed, got my car back and around 5 days later... Engine light is on again. I took it to firestone, they dis the diagnostic again ( free of cost since i had just payed for it) and then changed the mass air flow sensor and that cost me almost $ 250. They told me everything else was fine and a week later my car suddenly has an abrupt change in temperature ( from normal- to hot to cold in seconds) and leaves me in the middle of the highway on my way to school. My car is taken to firestone on kirby where they do the diagnostic again... And this time they find out that my radiator had a leakage and that got worst and completely damaged the cars engine. So I was very angry ( rightly so) but never treated any employee disrespectfully... I could tell they felt bad because they wouldn't look me in the eyes when talking to me. I made a claim with firestone and they told me a third party contractor would come and check my cart to see if my claim was valid. My car broke down on a friday, and this would take 24 to 48 hrs so I had to rent a car for the following week and wait for them to call. No one called me for three days ( not including the weekend) and so i decided to call back on thursday. No one new anything about my car and then about 30 mnts later I receive a call from the person in charge of my case ( from coorporate). He told me that the third party contractor saw my car and concluded that the job they dis on my car was correct and that I had no claim. I then asked him how come no one called me before the contractor came to see my car so I could be present during that check up since it was supposed to be unbiased... And since that happened that way I wanted to know which company was hired and who was the mechanic in charge of my vehicle so I could talk to him and have a copy of his findings. Mr flint, firestone on kirby, firestone on wallisville and not even coorporate could give me any info or communicate me with that person. After talking to around 8 different people, someone told me Nationwide was the third party and gave me their phone number and my case number to call. I proceeded to call nationwide to ask them to communicate me with the mechanic or send me a copy of the findings and they told me they need a written letter from firestone allowing then to give me that info. So I called firestone back and according to them, the only person that could write that letter was on vacation and what a surprise that my case manager ( ) was also unavailable. They told me they would write and email to them and that I would have an answer in the next 24 to 48 hrs ( it was a thursday) so that meant I had to wait till the following monday or tuesday for and answer. Had to rent a car again and obviously did not receive an answer after. I took my car to a different mechanic since then no one in firestone wanted to tell me what was wrong with my car... They where very general about it and every time I asked for an estimate and a detailed explanation of what they found was wrong with my car they would deny it. They payed for my car to be transported back to my house and then i contacted a different mechanic to check it. Final diagnosis: radiator and engine completely messed up.... Estimate costs over 5000$. ( plus add the 1000$ I had already spent in firestone that month) and my car is a 2002 toyota.. :(((. I still have not received ANY CALLS FROM FIRESTONE OR COORPORATE... and i still have no information on NATIONWIDES check up .... I was very very angry, and disappointed and firestone definitely lost a good client and I will NEVER recommend this company again. read more

I needed a simple assist - loosen the oil drain plug. I offered to pay them for their time. They refused, and I had to pay them for a complete oil change just to get the oil drain plug loosened. What kind of world do we live in where people treat you this way? Its sad. read more

The worst place ever! I went to get my inspection done and was told that my tint on the front window is too low. I went to re-do it next day after putting a brand new tint and was told that it's too low again (even though it was up to the standards). Then they've lost my keys and dirty my seat. I went back AGAIN on the 3rd day without the tint and those idiots said that machine is broken and couldn't get this inspection done! 3 times and still nothing accomplished! Bunch of stupid kids playing around! I'll never go back again to this place! And you'll be better of avoiding it yourself. read more
