I walked over to the store for help, and one of the mechanics walked back over with me to take a look. Turns out it wasn't my battery that was dead, like I thought, but a belt had broken. He pulled out his flashlight and showed me everything that was wrong. While we waited for a tow truck, because my car wouldn't even start up, the staff was trying to figure out if any of them had a vehicle that could tow us over instead of us having to spend money on a tow of all of 50 yards. I told them that we were on a road trip, they pushed some non-emergency repairs back to make sure we could get on the road as fast as possible. They kept me informed every step of the way, even having me could out on the garage floor to see what work the mechanic was doing. Every single person was lovely. Not that I want to break down in Brandon again, if I do, they'll be my first call.

At first, we thought it was a transmission issue because the car would not accelerate at all and was making a very loud grinding noise. This location does not do transmission work, but they kindly offered to confirm what sort of repair I might need. This, by itself, was a huge help, since every transmission repair shop in town was weeks behind in their work. Luckily, it ended up not being a transmission issue, but a broken axel that was spinning and scraping against the wheel without actually rotating it. Once we knew what the problem was, the staff offered to get my wife and I back on the road within a day, which was incredibly kind, since we were in the middle of a long road trip and did not have time to spare. Drew was not certified to work on hybrids, and doing so was very dangerous, but rather than turning down the job, he spent a great deal of time researching how to disconnect my car's battery, so he could repair it safely. While Drew was working on my car, Phil and Bri were very kind, friendly, and responsive, and kept me informed as to the car's progress and recommended places for me to get something to eat. Bri always answered the phone quickly and cheerfully when I called to ask about the progress. After the car was fixed and we were back on the road, Phil followed-up several times with us to make sure everything was okay and that we made it to our end destination safely, several days later. This was by far the most satisfying experience I have ever had with a car repair shop and its staff, and I highly recommend that anyone experiencing car trouble in Mississippi consider coming to this location.
