** 1-Star Review for Tire Unlimited (Greer, SC)**…read more This was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had with a small auto repair shop. In 2023, I brought my vehicle to Tire Unlimited to fix the air conditioning. The issue was a bad compressor, and I paid $1,250 for the repair. Fast forward two years--my A/C stopped working again. I returned to Tire Unlimited, and the owner, Josey, told me it needed maintenance. I paid $350 for that service. Just two months later, the A/C failed again. This time, Josey said the compressor had gone bad again and quoted me $650. After a heated discussion, he reduced the price by $100. What's frustrating is that during the second visit, when I paid for maintenance, the failing compressor should have been identified. It wasn't. As a business owner myself, I expected better accountability--especially since the compressor should have been under warranty and the issue was missed during their own maintenance check. I was referred to this shop by a loyal customer of 27 years, which makes this even more disappointing. I truly regret not going to a certified Chevy dealership instead. Lesson learned. I won't be making the drive from Columbia to Greer again!

For your own satisfaction, I would NOT RECCOMMEND Tires Unlimited. Joey is obnoxious and hard to deal with. His associate Wade is about the same way. How they stay in business is beyond me!

I am begging you NOT to use these scammers. I went in for a simple oil change, long story short,…read moreand came out needing a new transmission. The one trip for an oil change led to two more trips with different 'issues' where I spent a few thousand dollars there in total. On the last trip, they replaced my transmission cooler hoses. The hose was not tightened, therefore, causing ALL of my transmission fluid to leak out. I park on grass, so I never saw the fluid leaking out until it was too late. The mechanic failed to make adequate repairs to my vehicle resulting in my transmission to lock up. I had to have my car towed home because I was driving one day and it just locked up on me. When I called to explain to them it was their fault they just kept saying "I'm sorry, but what do you want me to do?" They would not compensate me or even offer to fix it for free. I was not offered a rental car or any help whatsoever from them. I asked for a copy of their shop liability insurance and was not provided this information. Not to mention all of this happened over a 2 months time span. My jeep has run fine for 6 years and a month after I took it to them, I am without a car. After I got it out of the shop the last time, they called me to assure me everything was fine and stated no safety features were messed up. They have manipulated me, used me, and taken my service for granted. Again, do not use Pickens Auto Repair. Please take your money elsewhere!!!

I started by reaching out online. Salesperson Chaseton began texting me. He sent me a video…read moreevidencing the vehicle's real-time availability, which, of course, piqued my interest. After engaging in the dance of preliminary negotiation, I decided to visit the dealership to see it in person. Happily, the car looked just like it did in the video and pictures. I wanted to take the car to an independent mechanic for an inspection, but was informed the dealership did not permit that, which was disappointing. I decided to go for it anyway. Chaseton assured me that if anything was found to be awry after my purchase they "will address them then." I test drove it and then made the purchase. The sales process was one of the least painful car dealership experiences I've had. I felt no pushiness, and no underhandedness. There was no constant rotating cast of characters trying to convince me of one thing or another and trick me into parting with more and more of my money by trying to wear me down over time. I felt comfortable with their processes, the offerings, and the final numbers, including ultimately choosing financing through them instead of the financing I came there with. Chaseton was especially a joy to work with. Having experience with sales, I understand his role is to seal the deal. As a prepared salesperson, he had responses ready for all of my inquiries and requests. As a human, he was warm, personable, patient, and calm. I appreciate these qualities, especially in sales transactions. His team members were just as a likeable. Five stars for Chaseton. He handled me in a way that left me feeling good about my purchase, which I am very happy with!
