I will not bring another car here. To keep this somewhat short, I called to set up an appointment and went into great detail what the problem was. I also said that I hooked up a code reader and didn't get any codes back. They got my car in at ten called me at 1030 said they hooked up their code reader and didn't get any codes I told them that's good I did that yesterday, best part is I had to pay for it too. read more

I came to this shop with x5 issues on my car. I made an appointment for 2 pm. at 4 pm, they still had not started on my car. They finally get 'done' at 7 pm and didn't fix a single thing I asked for. They said the x2 trouble codes on my car were a dealershi issue so they just cleared them and moved on without letting me know what they were. I had a rattle in the rear and they told me what they thought it was but still didn't fix it. Had a slow leak in a tire. When asked, they said it must be a slow leak because it was the tire had good pressure. I told them of course it does bc I keep putting air in it. They responded by telling me if it happens again to just bring it back lol save time and money and go absolutely ANYWHERE else. read more

My tire had a slow leak, losing just a couple of PSI per day on 11/21 and 11/22. It sat unused on 11/23 (Thanksgiving) and 11/24 (that Friday). The tire didn't lose a single PSI from Wednesday morning through Saturday morning. So I knew it was a small leak. I went to Firestone in Athens, Ohio on Saturday, 11/25 and asked them to take a look and to change the oil. They called me later and said the tire had a nail in it. I asked how it held air for over three days? No answer, guy simply repeated it had a nail and couldn't be repared, had to be replaced. I asked how much to replace both back tires and was told $260+ each for 50k mile tires. This seemed high, so I told him I'd call him back and called around. I found 70k mile tires for $250 from Huddle Tire Discounters. I asked Firestone how much for just the oil change and he said $155 for a synthetic oil change, before tax. That's ridiculous. I said nevermind, I'll pick it up, he was then short off with me. I picked it up and noticed they had waaaay over inflated the tire. It was at 40 psi. I got out and let some air out. overinflation can happen in a cold bay and then taking out to a warm outside, but it was colder outside than inside. So why inflate so high? To open up the hole more maybe? The tire got me home but lost air fast. In the morning, it wouldn't take any air at all. I changed it out with the donut tire and inspected it. There was no nail in the tire, I looked closely for it. So they lied about the nail, overinflated the tire to open up the leak, was rude on the phone when they realized they weren't going to soak me for money AND, as petty as they are, they didn't put the valve stem cap on, I'll bet on purpose. I instead got better tires for cheaper and the same synthetic oil change for less than half was Firestone was wanting to charge. Go to Huddle Tire Discounters instead!!! Firestone will only lie, overcharge and be petty and rude if you question them. They definitely are not following the honesty quote they have hanging on the wall. so I had a appointment at 1:30 and it took almost 2 hours because they choose to just push mine aside even though I had an assigned appointment. They were also very inconsiderate as to I had class at 3 and they choose to start working in my car way later then originally planned. I will never going back to this place again because service was shoddy and poor management. read more

Disappointing service since they are under new management. They seem disorganized and always over booked and behind schedule. I called a week in advance for an appt for brake related service and to look at the TPS light that has been on since the last time I was there a few weeks ago. I stopped another time to get the light reset but they were too busy. Just picked up my car and only the light was fixed. Didn't even do the calipers which is what I made the appt for. What's the point of making the appt and telling that person what service is needed? Seems like there is a lack of communication. The people are friendly which may be the only reason I give them another chance. read more

Downloaded yelp to post this. Came in without an appointment for an oil change on my way out of Athens at a time when they seemed to not be busy. Was told that the wait would be 30 minutes, ended up waiting more than TWO HOURS. Definetly will not be coming back here for car maintenance. read more

I had a tire blowout on thursday. I pulled into Firestone and within the hour my Tire was changed, my spare and tools put back where they belonged. They were quick and helpful and courteous. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Rude service, took forever for an oil change even though I made an appointment. What is the point in making an appointment if I have to wait

I am a student in Athens and not from the area, so when I needed tires I trusted a brand like firestone would be ok. I bought tires on Tire Rack and got then shipped to the Athens Firestone. I made an appointment to speed up the process, and by the end of the day the work was supposed to be done on, I called asking about the status. I was told they had not arrived, even though I received the delivery notification from Tire Rack, back and forth between them and the help at tire rack, I learned they had them but they had lost the tires. So, them losing a whole set of tires delayed the work another day, after the car sitting for 3 days waiting for tires. They called me the next day and said they couldn't get one of the wheels off. So I said fine, picked up the car with 3 new tires on, and one new one in the back seat, and took the car as is. I now have the car at my regular shop to get the last tire installed, and they inform me one of the new tires was installed backwards (directional tires). This increases wear and is not nearly as safe as properly installed tires. A crap experience all around at Firestone and it will be the last time I am a customer at any Firestone. read more

I went in for a routine check up on my vehicle and asked for an oil change as well. They were friendly and offered me some coffee and the remote to watch TV. While it did seem like the whole process took longer than it should have, the service was good and the cost wasn't expensive. Haven't had too much done by them, but I will likely return for more auto-care. Only real complaint is that the WiFi doesn't work. read more

My son took his car in for a slight rattling sound in the front. They put it on the lift, came out a little later and told him it was something with A/C and the cost would be around $1,000 (!). He asked if he could just drive it home to Cleveland and have it fixed here. They told him the car wouldn't start to drive it anywhere else. Very strange since he drove it to Firestone! They promised him the car would be done the next day. Finally called him at 8 pm the next day and said they would have it done "first thing in the morning". I called them at 11:00 a.m. and they still weren't done with it. They called back at 4:00 p.m. and said the car needed more work and they had to order another part. My husband called and told them to forget it and that they had 30 minutes to get the car in running condition. They charged $600 and the repair wasn't completed. They took advantage of an inexperienced, trusting college student. Will never go there again. read more

Don't waste your time or money on this place!!! On 11/10/16, I purchased 4 new Champion Fuel Fighter tires ($421.88) from Firestone store # 18813 in Athens, Oh. In September/October of 2017, I noticed that my 2014 Subaru Impreza was vibrating so bad at 60/70mph that it was nearly immobile. I contacted the dealership from where I had purchased the car, Hatfield Subaru, and made an appointment for 10/30/17. The dealerships's service team informed me that I was nearly due for new tires and that 2 of the rims were bent. Since the purchase of the tires, my car had only been serviced at the Firestone store in Athens, Ohio. At the time of the tire purchase, I also purchased the tire alignment package ($179.99). Since purchasing the tires, at each service visit to Firestone (3/13/17 and 7/24/17) I requested an oil change, tire rotation and alignment. There should be no reason that my tires are needing replaced if the service technicians were correctly rotating and aligning the tires. When I called Greg, the manager, to inform him of my plight, he argued that "his store sees 40 cars a day and that they know what they are doing!" Also, I've been in zero accidents and or ran over any curbs etc for the rims to be bent. Lastly, the service technician stripped the wheel stud when replacing the tires (case and point that they don't know what they are doing) and I had to return to the store on 12/14/17 and wait another 90min for them to fix that! I contacted the Bridgestone claims department on 10/31/17 and my claim was assigned to Camille S. After providing the invoices and estimates for the repairs totaling $656.15, Camille offered to pay half ($328) indicating that was all the upper management would approve. Well, I paid for tires that, with proper maintenance, should last 70,000 miles. These tires, because they were not properly maintained due to the negligence of the service techs at Firestone in Athens, lasted approximately 25,000. read more
