Apparently the motto for this place is be rude to the customers. I purchased 2 tires from them a month or two ago along with road hazard warranty. I brought in one of the tires that had side wall damage. The damage was covered and the salesman told me that if he did it right now it would be $20. I told him I didn't have $20 until tomorrow, but I left the tire there and said I would pick it up when it was done at which point the price jumped from $20 to "less than $100. I called on Sunday. It was put on hold and forced to listen to Firestone commercials until I hung up. Waited 10 minutes called back this time. I didn't even have the opportunity to utter a single word before the same salesman put me on hold. Not wishing to listen to commercials for a business. I was growing increasingly angry at how rudely I was being treated. I drove to the store and said I was going to stand there and tell everybody how I've been treated until he dealt with me. He kind of pouted around until he ultimately gave me a price of $57 that would be because the tire was free, but balancing, labor, and " a bunch of other stuff." I told him I thought this was a rip off and I took my damaged tire and the new tire, which was free and I'm going to have Bell tire put it on. Don't deal with this business. Although I made the appointment to get my tire completely changed online, I came in for my appointment and they did not have a tire for my car that wasn't another 100$ extra, I asked them to just take a look and either patch it or send me home and they took a good look and patched it up for a good price and sent me on my way! read more

SCAM ARTISTS THAT TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ELDERLY WOMEN!!!!! This review is just for the Allen Park location. My mother took her car there to have an oil change and tire rotation. While it was there, they did a "courtesy inspection" of the car (2010 Ford Focus with 15,000 miles, garage kept, properly maintained). During the inspection, they told her she needed brakes, a motor mount, an air filter, and a fuel system treatment to the tune of around $1500!!! They wanted to charge $40 for the filter and over $100 for the fuel treatment alone!!!! Thankfully, she declined the work and called me. I checked the car over and the brakes are fine, the motor mount is fine, the air filter is a little dirty but nowhere near needing to be replaced, and the fuel system clean is a scam. Firestone didn't even bother to latch her airbox completely closed after "inspecting" the air filter. I'm glad that she didn't fall for the BS these criminals tried selling her and it's really sad that there are people out there that don't know any better and fall prey to these predators. On a side note, before this happened, I took my car there for rear brakes. The fronts were perfectly fine. They called me and tried to bully me into getting the fronts done, too. I know cars and knew the fronts were fine, so I told them exactly what I thought. Bottom line, stay away from here unless you're ok with spending money on unnecessary repairs! read more

Horrible place don't bring your car here. They had me bring in my car for parking brake issue, told me they'll get right on my car and give me a call back. Long story short they never called me I called them only to find out they didn't touch my car. Place is full of idiots. I brought my car in because it wouldn't release brake and they tell me they couldn't get my car to move that's why they did nothing. I can't believe how unhelpful this specific location was. Because I had work done on my car at another Firestone location, and something might of gone wrong with that mechanical visit, I was rudely turned away when I came to this location Downriver. One of my issues is that my speedometer is not working and even when I explained that to the representative there, I was only greeted with a "well then just drive safe." I wouldn't dare recommend this specific location to anyone and I can see by recent reviews of the rudeness and lack of care for customer service. Even if I truly had to take this car to a different location, the customer service representative that I interacted with could of at least of transmitted the news more politely than he had. read more

Had service done there 2-3 years ago and was very satisfied. Called them today and talked to a nice man on the telephone. I needed brakes and possibly rotors on my pick up truck and was told to bring it up but they probably couldn't get to it until tomorrow. I immediately drove there and when I went inside I talked to another man, who was very brash and said that they couldn't look at it until Monday and couldn't guarantee that. I told him I had just talked to a man who told me to bring it up. He said he had no idea who I talked to and was very short with me. I gave him the number I called and he said that was the number for the Firestone tire dealer at Telegraph and Goddard. I then went to the Goddard location and they said I didn't call them but they could do the work for me and have my vehicle back to me tomorrow. While at the Goddard location I called the number that I originally called and it was indeed the first shop I went to. Your guess who put brakes brakes on my truck! read more

I made an appointment took the vehicle up at the scheduled time and was told the alignment guy called off today and my appointment had been canceled yet I never recieved a call. Then the guy had the audacity to act like I inconvenienced him as he was "busy". Called another location and they informed me I would have to wait for hours. I paid for a lifetime alignment and had to pay another shop to get it aligned. It's hard enough being pregnant and having a 1 yr old with me to keep entertain. Called to see if they could swap some tires on wheels I had off the vehicle already, was told they could, brought them in, was told they would be done in a couple hours (this was about 3pm on a Saturday, they close at 6pm) and they would call when they're done. I needed them that day, expecting so, I left and came back around closing time. Still no call from them, I went inside and was told they didn't get to them and I'd have to wait until tomorrow. Complete lack of customer service. Had I known they would have just not done my tires, I would have taken them elsewhere and had them done earlier. I also am expecting that he was going to call right at 6pm and tell me they didnt get them done and then hold my wheels and tires hostage, or maybe not even called. Seeing as how I walked in right before 6pm. I took my tires elsewhere and got them mounted that day. Luckily I found a place open til 7pm on a Saturday. Terrible customer service and I would NEVER recommend this place or go back there again. read more

I will never be back to this establishment. I had the worst experience here today. I went in to get a tire looked at. The first thing the desk person says to me is, it's going to be an hr wait. Ok, well im in a jam so no problem. Im very patient when it comes to dealing with taking turns. This is not wherein the problem laid. After over an hour of waiting, I was told that I need a new tire. Ok no problem. How much? He told me. Ok, I can handle that. 15min go by and he comes back and is like you need a sensor too. I said no thanks. This is where the trouble began. After, using my God-given mind to decide I didn't want a sensor, the employee went on to belittle me in front of a line of men, making me FEEL like a dumb woman and I shouldn't have even left the house because I am too dumb for that. So u said let me make a phone call. So I make my call and I come back in and tell him, put my old tire back on, I am leaving. He says, you mean the spare? I said no, my old tire. He then says, you mean the New tire? I said, PUT MY TIRE BACK ON MY CAR. He then proceeded to remind me how dumb I am. I said listen, I am only going 2 miles (which is none of his business ). Finally he got the hint. Tell the guy to put it back on. Im thinking ok, im done, right? He's just about to release my car and tries again! This is serious, I don't usually get all feminist on men, but today I reached my limit. If a woman is taking her OWN car in for repairs, be prepared for her to make a decision about her vehicle herself. Happy ending, I went to Lopez Tires in Detroit where my sensor was fixed for $20 out the door. One 10th of the price.
