Love this place I walk in and am greeted with hello. The food is always fresh .I order the hot pastrami and cheese. The food is always consistent in all locations near me. My number one quick lunch place. The staff interactions were so bizarre it was almost impressive. The man taking our order didn't say a single word, no greeting, no confirmation, just an intense blank stare while we talked. A tall, heavy-set white man wearing a "sauce boss" hat was openly rude on a number of occasions we have visited this location which really tied the whole experience together. Meanwhile, a blonde woman appeared to be the only employee capable of verbal communication, single-handedly delegating tasks and speaking to customers while the rest seemed... elsewhere. That said, order accuracy has been a persistent issue at this location and others we've visited. This time, we ordered online and found that several requested add-ons were missing from our sandwiches. We also always order an extra pickle, and not only have we never received the extra one--we often don't get a pickle at all. It's frustrating, especially considering how often it happens. Have eaten at many Firehouse Subs and this location was near the top. Bread was like it had just come out of the oven and my usual order Jamaican jerk turkey and my wife's Hook and Ladder was perfect. Staff was cordial and even checked on us as we were eating to make sure everything was good. Only dinged them a star for the bathroom condition which needed some attention. This review is for this location specifically. I've been to other Firehouses and they were great. This location seems to expect(and encourage) you to be a takeout order when you walk in. As soon as you walk in, they ask "togo order?" or even maybe guess a name based on orders that have been put in(as I observed while I was sitting and eating). I like to eat in Firehouses(opposed to togo) since their sweet tea is amazing and can have the sub right when it's freshly made. I got to this location around 5pm and their tea urns were empty(sweet and unsweet). I asked if they could make more sweet and they said "aww man some guy just came in and took it all. Huge togo order" and I could hear snickering from the other coworkers.. guaranteed they were lying and just didn't feel like making it nor making me anymore. So they offered me some unsweet from the drivethru area and gave it to me in a cup packed full of ice and if you've ever tried to sweeten tea packed with ice, then you know where this is going... it was just blah. And at this point, if I asked them for a new cup with little or no ice, they would've likely shut down the store because what I was asking was just far too much. A detail that I noticed: I've been to a few other FH's in the area and they're short-staffed, usually only 2 employees. There was a solid 5 or more employees so it's not like they were just slammed and couldn't help me; they all very clearly did not WANT to help me And I sort of expected this last part, but even though they asked 'here or togo?' and I said here, they put it in a togo bag and when I said it was for here, they acted like it was this HUGE inconvenience for them to get me a basket to put it on read more

This is specifically for the this particular establishment. I have tried 3 times over the past 3 years to use this FS, through the drive thru. Each time was a a bad experience. I waited more than 5 minutes for someone to respond even though there were no cars in front of me. I then waited a full 25 minutes at the window for them to produce a sub. I know what you are thinking, they must have had a large indoor crowd...No. They must have had a large call-in order...No. what was going on was 3 employees were chatting with their friends in front of the counter, making so much noise that I could hear them through the window. The next day I called and to talk to a manager. No one was available, so was told they would call me back. Never happened. I called the corporate office who said that a manager would respond, again never happened. A previous visit they gave me the wrong sandwich. I didn't know until I got home. This time I waited at least 20 minutes for them to make the sandwich. Again no one in front of me. The first time I went and this was pre-pandemic, it was 7:30pm and the signage was not lit up and no one responded at the sign. I just drive through, however there were 2 employees outside smoking and talking. So I won't go there anymore. I will admit that the subs that I received were very good, even the one that was a wrong order. That is why they get a second star. This is slowly becoming my new favorite chain sub shop. Every sub I've had from here has been delicious and the meat is of good quality! I like the fact you can get any of the sandwiches that are all typically toasted served cold as well. They have a excellent selection of sandwiches and your sure to find one you like from all the choices. My favorite and usual go to is the hook and ladder, although lately I've been craving their meatball which is miles above subways meatball sub! Do you have all the customization options of Subway? Serious lack of customer engagement. As a past food service employee, I know it can be hard to engage with customers when things are busy but when you have zero customers being helped, there is zero reason why all five of the staff behind the counter should look at the customer as they are walking in and make zero effort to say hi, welcome, etc. That's not really the problem in my case, my problem is as I approached the register to give my order, I greeted the staff member with a friendly "hello" and received an annoyed look the entire time. The staff who took my order acted as though he was completely high off his ass and couldn't use the register let alone understand my order. Then as I swiped my debit card because the chip reader is down, he explained that I was over my credit limit. That is not the case and I believe he automatically assumed I was using credit to complete my transaction and that is why my card wouldn't work. My sub was very good! My problem is cleanliness. I cannot truly enjoy my food when the staff doesn't keep their hands clean. Putting another plastic glove on isn't enough, especially when they work the dirty register, sweep floors and return from smoke breaks outside without washing hands. If you have only 30 minutes for lunch, I would avoid this place like the plague. 2 separate times I've had to ask my boss for 5 minutes to devour my sub. The food is great, The Engineer is my favorite. But nothing is worth wasting an entire break for something you have no remaining time to eat. This location is TERRIBLE! Every time I go through the drive-thru I am stuck in it for 20-30 mins. To avoid the drive-thru I will call ahead to place my order and have NEVER successfully placed it because I will be immediately placed on hold for 10-15 mins before I choose to hang up. When I choose delivery it is ALWAYS missing something. This location can never get their customer service right! No short staffed BS excuses. If you cant get fully staffed shut down. read more

Do not go inside to order your foods. There are over 8 people inside all working drive thru and carry out and could care less about the people inside. Shame on you. You make the inside people wait forever. At least give them the option. Also tell them that they also cater to first responders. I'm fine with that. Unfortunately this store is going to have to take the blame for poor service out of many others that I've seen. I signed up to firehouse subs for my birthday, currently I am waiting on the parking spot for drive thru only, but it has been roughly 15 minutes since I ordered my sandwich. I don't see many people inside, about 4 others. This is my very first time ordering from this establishment and I'm already given a long wait time for my first time, what a great impression right? While I'm I'm at the drive thru window, my order was a brisket & cheddar sub, but it took about 4 minutes just for the attendant to tell me they ran out of brisket, I asked for a recommendation & they told me steak & cheese would be the next best thing so I listened and substituted that instead. I'm currently still waiting for my sub as I've received no updates and during my drive thru, there was another car that received their order quicker than mine, I'm curious on what's taking so long. I also noticed an employee just casually walking back and forth with their cell phone taking a call, could the service be any better? edit: I received my order after going inside after writing this review, there was 5 people working the counter and one shouting employee who I assumed to be the manager, he was really nice and generous, but the reason why my sub was not delivered earlier was because they had given it out to the wrong person, that same shouting person gave a speech on communication to his co-workers and how they should listen more, everyone who was a regular worker looked lifeless, and put to shame but didn't seem to care, once again, great manager, poor communication from team members, it took about 32 minutes roughly before receiving my order and finding out it was given to the wrong person, there was also another customer who came back in and returned their order, it was probably mine but they received the wrong order as well, they were in the drive thru I'm assuming, if management could work on this store, it could definitely be potentially a better store, with new staff members of course, I believe the manager was in the right of doing all the shaming and scolding, I appreciated that my patience didn't go to waste read more

The manager or shift lead lady was being so rude to the employees and YELLING and speaking to them like a parent to a child. So awkward.
