Possibly the best food service in Greenville. So pleasant to come in and have friendly, smiling faces, quick service, and delicious food. This is out of my way for lunch but I will make the drive back because it's better than any of the restaurants closer to me. Thanks for a great meal!

    Spicy Cajun Chicken

Got the spicy Cajun chicken for the first time. First half of the sub was good, but I was pretty disappointed to find that the second half didn't have chicken on it. It had some lettuce, an onion, and some peppers. First bad experience with firehouse. Definitely the worst sub I've ever bought from any place.

This is not the best firehouse I have been to but I love their subs. The hook and ladder is great! Best eaten when hot

the hook on wheat was prepared with quality and I loved the professional chef slicing using a diagonal cut rather than jus halfing with a straight cut.

Those inline then started just talking to us and out of nowhere again one of the staff working says you know them and the lady he was talking to says yes they are friends of mine and we all just chilled in this counter area talking and having an awesome time waiting for our food to be done overall awesome vibes here all around! Now that pepper steak sandwich wow that's good like it was soo flavorful and yummy it had a ton of pepper steak on it that was mixed with some type of sauce that just soaked into it making each bite just that much better than the one before and not to mention it was packed with some veggies too as well as banana peppers to set the vibe even more! Seriously though don't count out that bread that was some delicious bread with a good crunch to it that totally held up to an already strong delicious sandwich! Overall this was an amazing stop with vibes and one of the best sandwich's I've ever had I really hope to get back here again at some point because that flavor was there in more than one way seriously just soo good!

Food takes some time as each are made to order but worth it. Nice and helpful staff at the counter. The Deets: I had the chance recently to go tailgating before an ECU football game, and my friends that regularly do so recommended Pirate's Deli so we stopped on our way to the game. This deli is fairly good sized with a extended menu of offerings on a board around two of the walls near the ordering counter/pickup area. The staff was nice and helpful when ordering. I looked over all the great and plentiful choices, finding the NY Yankee Chicken Cutlet Sandwich (breaded chicken, bacon, melted Swiss, lettuce/tomato, with honey mustard) which looked just right for me. Orders do take a while to come up as each are made to order and there were a few people ahead of us already getting their game day selections. Our orders were out soon enough and we were off to tailgate. The sandwich was very good...just messy enough to be interesting but not chaos to eat and the components came together for a great tasting combination (see pic). I was pretty satisfied with this sandwich and would definitely get this one again. Everyone one else felt the same about their food selections as well. In all, a good stop into Pirate's Deli to secure some tailgating eats before the game.

We were seated without a reservation at the bar (thank you!!!), however I highly recommend you avoid this faux pas and secure your seat; we were incredibly lucky there was room. However, I'm glad to say my instincts were completely wrong on this one. My business colleagues told me all the ingredients are locally sourced, and the based of taking diner food and making it a little more modern (without the pretentiousness). The space matches the concept - modern diner. I tried the following: - Daily Bread: Very good. Nothing like freshly bread and butter. - Spaetzle Mac & Cheese: Excellent. I've had spaetzle and and I've had mac & cheese, and this was as good as interpretation of mac & cheese I've ever had. A lot of my colleagues thought this was the most memorable dish of the night. - Pickled Things: Good. I always like trying new things, and pickled blueberries and fried saltines were new to me. Really nice surprises. - Daily NC Catch (Trout): Very good. Trout was just as perfect as can be with a nice crispy sear on the skin, and meat was still tender. The risotto underneath was good, but a bit over-seasoned. Service was incredible. The server was interactive, fun, attentive and doing a masterful job of single-handedly managing a table of over 12 people, which is never easy. Overall, a great meal. Really great food with service that made us feel like restaurant regulars. If I happen to visit Greenville NC again, I would definitely make sure to return.

At first, I was unsure if they were still an operating business post pandemic, but I returned during working hours on another day and was so pleased to find out they were! The parking lot was pretty full as it seemed several people were eating inside while many were taking their meals to go. This restaurant and bakery is conveniently located in the medical district. There are delicious, fresh made breads, sandwiches, and desserts available daily at such a low and affordable price! They also take custom orders (see my pictures) with advance notice. I was very pleased at what I ordered from here - a chicken salad sandwich on fresh sour dough bread, a bag of chips, and gooey butter cake for dessert. All for $8 packed nicely in a box. It was so hard to choose the dessert as there were about 10 different options, all of which appeared well made. This place is exactly what I like - options for chicken salad, egg salad, pimento cheese... No frills or fancy stuff, just good food that tastes like it was made at home for an affordable price. This is great for folks who work nearby and have some time for lunch or even those who want to treat a loved one for a special lunch in a box! I cannot wait to come back here to eat soon! Heck, I'll probably go today when they open

From the parts I got to see inside was small table seating around the bar. We got lucky to sit in at the outdoor covered patio seating which was great minus perhaps some outdoor heaters to warm it up a bit. Service was good overall. Servers were fun and helpful. Service a bit slow on our drink refills but the food running and table bussing was fast. Food was great, wished I had taken pics to share. Menu consisted of a good selection of apps, sandwiches, burgers and sides. Everything we tried was great. Chicken nachos were awesome, wish they had been a bit bigger but the topping portions was perfect and the taste amazing. The Cuban and fried pork chop sandwiches were again great and the spicy sweet potato fries were so good. Potion sizes were good and the food tasty. The nachos and spicy sweet potato fries were my faves. While probably not the place for young families, this was a hidden gem and fantastic find. Not really for those in wheelchairs as it is tight getting through the bar area, but there was a small ramp I recall. Bathrooms could use some work, about what you'd expect at your local dive bar but only a single stall and could be cleaner. Highly recommend this place.
