Have also had the seafood chowder, mussels and shrimp loaf which comes with lettuce and tomatoes. Every Friday night there is a live band which starts at 8 pm, always great vibes. Come out with friends or meet new friends. The Whyte Ave location is my go to spot, watched a lot of hockey games and playoffs, gets crazy fun.

However service was blunt and not the friendly atmosphere that we are use to here. And since there was only one item on them menu, the food actually came out quickly. Food was okay. Lobster was good considering it needed to be flown in and they were on the bigger side. Corn was excellent. Potatoes were undercooked and the mussels were overcooked. It was hard to take them off the shell because they were that shrivelled. And the biscuits were terrible. They were an afterthought. Dry and sandy in texture. I would come back here for a restaurant for sure because we sure enjoyed the food. And they have teh best lobster rolls. But I wouldn't come back for the price point for the boil. ( I think it was close to 70 bucks a person). I will just grab my own lobster and make sure my potatoes are cooked.

We heat them up in the air fryer at home and they taste great. My only complaint is the price is a bit steep but that's the cost of everything nowadays. The empanadas start at $3 I believe and go up from there.

The present location is in a house in the totally residential neighbourhood of Royal Gardens. The house is being renovated but I saw nothing to suggest that the renovations were related to the food business. As a result, there is no seating. You must phone ahead to place your order and the owner will assemble the order and have it available for you for pickup. He said for orders of 12 or more empanadas he will cook them for no extra charge. However you must still pick them up or use one of the delivery services such as Skip The Dishes. I didn't know this so I phoned him while I was parked out front. I bought a bag full of empanadas. Honestly I forgot how many I actually bought. There are 12 filling including 4 that are vegetarian. I bought beef, chicken, chorizo, broccoli, and spinach. Each kind is marked with a symbol or shape that helps to identify it. Once I got home I pulled two out and baked them at 375 for around 17 minutes. He even provided me with parchment paper for baking them. One definitely is not a meal but if you are not too hungry two would be quite nice for a lunch. It's really hard to rate this business because it is closer to a grocery store than a café. However I did enjoy eating them and I think these would make a great snack while watching a movie on TV. Perhaps eventually he will move back to commercial location and serve the empanadas as a lunch. Time will tell. Until then these are very well priced and good for a lunch or a snack.

Looking for a diner experience with top notch food and a lot of it for a fair price? You just…read moredescribed Rockin' Robyn's to a T! We would go back in a heartbeat, just need to sleep off the food coma for a while. It's bright and airy in spite of the smallish space and the amount of booths and tables, oh and you can sit at the counter. The walls and ceiling are covered in memorabilia, concert banners and what not. The place was absolutely hopping at 12:45 PM, but we were sat in a booth right away. Waters dropped moments later, asked if we needed coffee, tea or whatever else you wanted to drink. Our server was fantastic, explaining and educating us as we were first timers. The food came out piping hot very quickly and our tea ordered after the food was dropped came in a large teapot and hot just like at home. The clubhouse, which I did not have, has house made ham and turkey according to our server. My corn beef had slices of corn beef that did not taste house made, but the sheer volume of meat I couldn't finish, the eggs were cooked perfectly. K's Mexicasa omelette was excellent with the Mexican meat the star. I know why the place is consistently full, it's that good. Definite redo when back in West Edmonton

The corned beef has had mashed potatoes which is different from what I'm used to but it was tasty nonetheless. My husband substituted the pancakes in his meal for pan fried potatoes. The place was super busy even though it was around 2pm and was still packed when we left. They seated us quickly as we were willing to sit at a table but we could've waited for a booth. The servers were friendly and fast which was perfect for us as I needed to get to an appointment. It's a relatively small restaurant with many patrons. It's definitely got that old diner vibe which is always fun once in a while. If you're looking for a solid, traditional diner experience, you can't for wrong with Rockin' Robyn's.
