First one in a Sunday. The server recommended their $8 breakfast special. Comes with scrambled…read moreeggs, sausage, bacon, smashed potatoes and rye toast. Sounded great except it really wasn't. Eggs were really dry. Sausage was bitter (like it was old). Bacon was like jerky. The potatoes were the star though. Unfortunately there was barely any on the plate. Everything was cold except for the potatoes. I guess that's what you get for $8. Service was great which is why the extra star. I was the only one in there though! Ambience wasn't too bad. Lots of seating indoors plus outdoor patio. I chose to sit indoors since it had just rained. Music wasn't to my taste but each to their own. Large screen tv's. From this experience, I don't recommend and have no intention of returning.

I came here on a Sunday as I was told they have a $7 breakfast special. For $7 you get eggs,…read moresausage, bacon, potatoes, and a side of toast which is quite decent. It wasn't the best breakfast I've ever had but for $7 it did the job. I've seen pictures of their other menu items and they appear to be delicious. Will have to come back and try it another time. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we got there. It was pretty spacious and clean. Our waitress was kind and the service was good.

Outside not much to…read moresee, inside, well it's pretty small and it looks like they are doing some renovations, but if you want Empandas this is the place to go to. They have a variety of meat Empandas like Cajun pulled pork and Philly cheese steak, as well as a few vegetarian choices. Yes, empanadas as fusion food (like piza, which they also have), but it works. The price is right too, $5.25 got me 2 empanadas that were delicious and pretty filling. You can buy them frozen and cook yourself at home or get them to cook them in the store. I got them to cook them in the store and it seems like they bake them, which is fine by me. It does take a few minutes, maybe 10 or 15, but while you wait there are a few free tables and wifi. The owner was friendly, and happy to talk and genuinely wanted to know how I found out about My Empanadas (through Yelp of course). I got 2 of the Cajun empanadas, and they were good, not very spicy, but I wish I would have tried another kind as well. Lucky for me it looks like I will need to go back and try some of their other flavors.

We heat them up in the air fryer at home and they taste great. My only complaint is the price is a bit steep but that's the cost of everything nowadays. The empanadas start at $3 I believe and go up from there.

Looking for a diner experience with top notch food and a lot of it for a fair price? You just…read moredescribed Rockin' Robyn's to a T! We would go back in a heartbeat, just need to sleep off the food coma for a while. It's bright and airy in spite of the smallish space and the amount of booths and tables, oh and you can sit at the counter. The walls and ceiling are covered in memorabilia, concert banners and what not. The place was absolutely hopping at 12:45 PM, but we were sat in a booth right away. Waters dropped moments later, asked if we needed coffee, tea or whatever else you wanted to drink. Our server was fantastic, explaining and educating us as we were first timers. The food came out piping hot very quickly and our tea ordered after the food was dropped came in a large teapot and hot just like at home. The clubhouse, which I did not have, has house made ham and turkey according to our server. My corn beef had slices of corn beef that did not taste house made, but the sheer volume of meat I couldn't finish, the eggs were cooked perfectly. K's Mexicasa omelette was excellent with the Mexican meat the star. I know why the place is consistently full, it's that good. Definite redo when back in West Edmonton

The corned beef has had mashed potatoes which is different from what I'm used to but it was tasty nonetheless. My husband substituted the pancakes in his meal for pan fried potatoes. The place was super busy even though it was around 2pm and was still packed when we left. They seated us quickly as we were willing to sit at a table but we could've waited for a booth. The servers were friendly and fast which was perfect for us as I needed to get to an appointment. It's a relatively small restaurant with many patrons. It's definitely got that old diner vibe which is always fun once in a while. If you're looking for a solid, traditional diner experience, you can't for wrong with Rockin' Robyn's.
