Found this food truck at Cedar Point and ordered the number one item on their menu: the Firehouse Burger. Overall the burger was pretty tasty, the star of the show was definitely the beef patty that tasted homemade and was well seasoned. Cheese was grilled and therefore melts, it was great. What let this dish down honestly to me was the bun. They advertised it as a fresh bun, never frozen; although I agreed that it didn't taste like it had been frozen previously, the bun was served to me cold! So to me it wasn't fresh. At least they could've heated the bun up a bit by, oh I don't know, maybe putting it on top of the grill. Get that grill marks, you know. So that kinda let down the whole thing a bit. Another point deduction definitely came from the price they charged. $11 for a regular-sized cheeseburger to me was a bit much. And the size was not that big either. read more

I'll be honest - I only went to this food truck over the other food trucks parked on Walnut Wednesday because the cashier taking orders was extremely cute. Sweating profusely, I walked towards the cashier and asked her what she recommended. She said the 'High Rise Burger' - without a second thought or glance at the menu, I acquiesced and ordered it. The high rise burger ($10) was delicious although my senses may have been clouded by thoughts of the cashier. Succulent pulled pork piled on top of a fresh beef patty with onions and slaw. The beef patty was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of texture and juice. Tasted like being at a summer cookout in the backyard. I came to learn that it was their first day ever at Walnut Wednesday and it is run by an ex-firefighter chef. Cool looking truck, yummy food and cute cashier. Well... after hearing how good this would be... it was not. I asked for my burger to be made without pickles and cheese and apparently this means "plain" in Firehouse speak. So I missed out on the onions and tomato. The teenager taking the orders could have cared less about my experience. I was especially flabbergasted when another customer came back with the middle of their burger RAW! They were generously offered a re-heat and then a re-do. The gentleman in the truck came down and explained that the person on the grill was just doing as she was told and that they were flipping based on a timer and the grill "wasn't as hot as it should have been". So... they aren't checking for the protein to be cooked before serving?? Yipes. Eventually they opened a trash bag of pre-made chips and put them stale and cold into my plain burger boat. I was going to ask the young lady that was taking the money, er... orders about the other toppings but she was busy texting and held up a finger indicating I should wait... I didn't. The people inside the truck were feverishly attempting to fully cook a replacement burger for the other customer (we were the only two at the time), so I figured bothering them about my missing toppings might get me a good dressing down they looked so angry, so I went on my way. So to the burger and chips: First the chips: For coming pre-made out of a giant trash bag, I should have set my sights lower I suppose. But, predictably, they were cold and stale. Essentially zero crunch. There was adequate seasoned salt, but it didn't make up for the consistency. I fear for the long term quality of the other three big trash bags of chips that were sitting in the back of the truck waiting to be plopped expressionlessly into a burger boat. Now the burger: Mostly Harmless. Mine, at least, was cooked through. The seasonings were bland, then I added catsup and the vinegar perked up the pepper in the protein and it was nearly exactly like a McDonalds Quarter Pounder plain, with catsup. Except way way smaller. There are so so many better choices at Cedar Point this summer. Cedar Point's food service consistently scores low in the "care" department, but it has never been as bad as it was at the Firetruck of Food Doom. I'm giving the guy who personally talks to every customer and takes their order 6 Stars! He was quick to provide answers about the menu and ask those who are how everything was. This is a food truck inside of Cedar Point. The bbq pork and slaw was fantastic. They have homemade kettle chips that have a great crunch. I got the black bean burger with pineapple. It was good but didn't have any lettuce or tomato as I thought it would but they gave me some with no complaint. It was all good. The pumpkin cut out sugar cookies looked great. It was nice to eat a vegan/vegetarian option. read more

Let me start off by saying I'm not sure why there's ANY bad reviews of this food truck. My husband and I visited this truck during a recent trip to Cedar Point during opening weekend. The park itself was poorly staffed so food stands hand lines longer than some of the roller coasters (not even kidding). We had passed by this food truck a couple times and said "nah, let's go find a burger and fries somewhere cheap." We ended up talking to the owner of the food truck (ex - fire company worker) and decided to try the place out. My husband ordered a burger and I ordered a hot dog with pulled pork and cole slaw on it. Each order came with fresh cut potato chips. My husband loved his burger and my hot dog was amazing. The combination of pulled pork and slaw was just right. We loved our meal so much that we came back a few minutes later and ordered a bourbon brownie. Yep - it's just what it sounds like and it's amazing. We will DEFINITELY be back to this truck if we ever see them at Cedar Point again. The prices are on par with any other park food you'd order except your money is spent going towards a local business. read more

They boast flavor but they lacked flavor. The chips have a little salt on it but I would've expected something powerful like a smoky salt or something with some fire in it. What do they think is so special about these? The burger had quality but again lack that punch of flavor. How do they think their burger stands out against others? Bad Service, Bad Food. What more needs to be said, their staff was rude, possibly intoxicated, and unhelpful.

It was my first time visiting this restaurant it was clean the staff was very nice and they were patient because I wasn't sure about their menu and they're very informative about what they can do for custom sandwiches and what they had available. And my food was amazing! read more

I had them on 06/08/17 at Olmsted Falls kids night out. I was not impressed, I ordered their smokehouse burger, which was their specialty. It reminded me of a school lunch burger except it was $11.00 with their "homemade" chips and a bottle of water. The burger was bland and overcooked, the bun was a generic standard bun that was very close to being stale. I am sorry but all in all it was just a bad meal, especially for the price. read more
