All new concrete sites but no amenities (no firing, picnic…read moretable, etc), tight sites but good grass (w/ sticker burs abundant), WiFi 2 bars in site 24 which is a west/ east backin. Water pressure good, FHU's w/ 50 amp, 3 bars on Verizon so you can stream on cellular service. WiFi not strong enough too. About 1/2 the sites are FTers w/ #22 winning yard of the month. Roads are concrete but very tight. Our 35' crossed the grad even though we were as far right as we could go. 40'+ rigs will have issues turning and backing in as all sites are back in w/utilities at the rear of the site.

But here's our review of our stay…read more We arrived at the resort during a light rain our truck and trailer making it's way down the road dodging large and small puddles as we turned into the staging area. Our arrival and site assignment simple. We backed into our bay view space and set up for our week stay. First the park is perfect a outstanding view of the inland waterway into Corpus Christy harbors and Bay. My sister lives close by and came to breakfast several times during our stay and joined us for the typical tourist attractions of the area. The pro and cons of our stay. PRO'S there's a small local dive bar one block from the front gate. There's a food truck outside to die for. Top the with live music and our stay was truly a good time. Cons We can't stop this time but will when we will again soon. The new owners and management people are very nice and the dive bar and food truck are a huge draw.

Sunset Ridge has some really nice and large concrete sites to park your rig, vehicles, boats, and…read moreeverything else you might bring along. The concrete streets are wider than average and make backing into your site a breeze. The grass around the sites is unbelievably lush and apparently watered by an underground seepage system that keeps the grass in good health. The grounds are maintained on a daily basis to keep everything trimmed to perfection. These are the highlights of our findings during our 9 week stay: - The pool is heated and hot tub worked most of our stay. It was still broken when we left. - The office/clubhouse is perpetually "coming soon", although they have no construction plans currently to build one. The office is located inside of a shipping container. - They sometimes erect a tent for gatherings, but stated they get destroyed by high winds on a regular basis. - They held potluck dinners in the fitness room during our stay, due to lack of any other facilities. - We were warned of past thefts when we arrived. Two thefts occurred on separate occasions during our stay and the "resort" sent out text messages to residents with tips from the local police department. - Stray dogs regularly roam the grounds. - There is no street lighting and building exterior lighting is off during most of the dark hours. Flashlights or headlamps are advised after dark. - Lawn maintenance is a constant irritant at the sites. It happens 6 days of the week, with 3-5 days that they would come through our site EACH WEEK. - The building is surrounded by SANDBURS. We picked them out of our shoes on a daily basis. - The air often smelled like sewer gas, most likely due to the nearby tidal basin. - Showers/restrooms are cleaned once a week, according to the manager. Daily would be more appropriate. - The high-speed internet located at each site was good. However, they don't provide a Wi-Fi Hotspot for use when away from your site (e.g. in fitness room). - They say Corpus Christi is the windiest city in the United States. We no longer doubt that statement. - While it is promoted as a "resort", it felt more like an RV park by the end of our stay there. Many "resort" amenities are perpetually "coming soon".

I've been living here here for over 7 years and was told two weeks before Christmas that the park does no longer wish to rent to me anymore. When asked "why" and to talk to the owner my, request was denied twice. They gave no reason for not letting me stay. So basically put me out in the streets. Also watch your electric. i've been over charged for electricity when working out town. if your a veteran or disabled you might want to go elsewhere.

They were respectful, apologetic, and gave clear examples of how they were intending to fix the issues we experienced. No one is perfect, the best that we can expect is that when something inevitably goes wrong, that the company does its best to fix the problem. I personally would still be hesitant to stay at this park because of my negative experience. But if the main management​ is able to fix the issues we experienced, our stay would have been quite pleasant otherwise. And top-level​ management definitely takes great pride in their parks and seems to be striving to fix the issues, so you may very well have better luck during​ your stay.

We've found…read morePadre Balli park isn't as crowded as others, and if you park by the pier (currently being restored from Hurricane Hannah), you can walk to the showers (rinse only - no soap or conditioner). Lots of people bring canopies, and we saw some that had bag holders for the canopies so your beach bag isn't full of sand on the bottom. We'd also advise a picnic/outdoor blanket to set stuff on and cup holders that go into the sand to hold your beverage. It's fun to watch the local surf school give lessons, and there are lots of locals/families.
