Ultimately, we found the car we wanted here. After some back and forth over the phone we landed on a price and did the buying online and just needed to go in to actually pick up the vehicle. We told our salesperson ( Kien) when we expected to come and were in contact with him in our way( we live about 1.5 hrs away...and have a newborn so trip isn't the easiest to make). When we got there we saw our car out front. We went around inspecting it and found 3 small dings/ scratches. Car is brand new. We called the salespersons # several times and got no answer. After waiting around for a while by the car, we decided to go into the office. We saw several employees/ salespeople while we were waiting and no one acknowledged us. When we went into the office, we continued to wait. Finally, we were able to get a salespersons attention, and told him who we were looking for. He said "Let me go check where he is". Never saw that guy again. After waiting some more time( again, with a fussy newborn..) the sales manager finally came over and asked if we needed help. We explained the situation and he left to check on our salesperson and came back to tell us he wasn't there, but was on his way back. He said he could help us until them. This was the only employee that was helpful and I WISH I remembered his name..I felt like it started with an E but not sure. Sales Manager. We take him back out to the car and show him the little dents/ scratches. He said the car had been washed but he would send it over again, they possibly could have been dirt. He did this right away. While we were waiting we went back into the office. Overall, all the employees seemed annoyed we were there and uninterested in helping. We were facing the sales managers( Bryan) office and could see employee after employee going in and a group of about 5 sitting around and laughing and talking. We had a woman approach us saying we needed to sign a piece of paper. Didn't explain what it was. When we asked she seemed kind of annoyed. When we told her we wanted to wait until we heard back about the scratches- she was even more annoyed. The sales manager returned and had us take a look at the car. There was still 1 small scratch left. He said that they could order us a paint pen for free, but that was all they could do. Ok we agreed The sales manager walked us into the finance manager( Bryan) office and set us up with everything we needed to finish the process. Again, he was extremely helpful. Again, the finance manager just seemed annoyed and irritated by us being there( buying a car?). We reminded him about the paint pen and he put it into the paperwork- he didn't explain anything about it so I asked. When will this get ordered, when will we get it, is any additional info needed. He said they would order it tonight and would hear back soon. As we were finishing up the paperwork our salesman( Kien) returned and was very apologetic for not being there. Fast forward to this week we still hadn't received any info about the paint pen. We call to inquire if it's on its way. Went through every department( sales, parts, service, finance) and every person passed us off to someone else. We were told we'd receive a call back and never did. We finally went to our local Toyota and bought the pen out of our own pocket. It is definitely frustrating because it was promised to us, and even MORE frustrating because no one could give us an answer. My suspicion? I don't even think the order was ever put it. I feel like as soon as well left they probably just put the paperwork away and didn't care anymore about it. They wanted to leave and go home(mind you, we in no way were there at closing time) If the process was this time consuming and frustrating( we were there for about 2 hours) after we had ALREADY BOUGHT THE CAR--I cannot imagine going in and doing it all in person. Would I return to this Toyota in the future? No. Would I recommend it to others, no.

He takes the time to properly diagnose what is going on, explain what he finds, tell me what needs to be repaired and why, and make sure I understand everything before any work is done. I have never felt like something was simply being added to an invoice without explanation. He is also extremely good at diagnosing problems. Over the years, there have been issues with my car that he has been able to identify incredibly quickly, sometimes just from hearing a noise or looking at something before confirming it through the proper diagnostic process. That kind of experience and knowledge is hard to find. Most recently, my car needed a significant amount of work, including major engine-related repairs. Chris did not simply finish the job and hand me the keys. He extensively road-tested the car afterward, checked everything again after the drive, and even put it back on the lift while it was running so he could inspect underneath it and make sure everything was performing exactly as it should. That level of follow-through is one of the biggest reasons I trust this shop. Chris is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to diagnosing problems and explaining what needs to be done, and the mechanic who worked on my car did excellent work. Everything was thoroughly checked before my car was returned to me, and I felt confident that the repairs had been done correctly and that my car was safe to drive. On a personal level, Chris has also been incredibly understanding and helpful with me over the years. I do not take that for granted, and I know that kind of trust develops over time. What I can confidently say to anyone looking for a mechanic is that he has always been honest with me, transparent about what my car needs, and genuinely concerned with making sure I am safe on the road. I do not recommend this shop…read more I took my vehicle to Chris to have my A/C diagnosed and recharged. They had my vehicle all day and called me around 6:00 PM saying it was ready. When I arrived, I was told the system had been tested, everything checked out, no leaks were found, and the A/C was good to go. Less than five minutes after leaving the shop and getting on the freeway, the A/C was still blowing hot air. I immediately called Chris and explained what happened. He told me to bring the vehicle back the next morning, which I did. After looking at it again, Chris told me the A/C compressor needed to be replaced and that his testing equipment did not detect that issue during the original inspection. I understand that parts can fail and that repairs cost money. My problem is that I already paid approximately $380 based on being told the system was tested and working properly, and now I am being asked to pay an additional $842+ along with labor charges again. If the compressor issue existed the entire time but was not caught during the original diagnosis, I do not believe I should be paying labor twice. I feel like I paid for a repair and diagnosis that did not solve the problem, and now I'm being charged again to correct it. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop. Customers deserve an accurate diagnosis and should not have to pay twice because an issue was missed the first time.

My car runs a uncommon tire size so I didn't expect any shops to have it but Ramon's had a used set of tires that were a close size. After coming to a stop and looking under the van I was crushed to see my axle hanging off from where my newest CV joint was recently replaced. I did a quick google search for a mechanic and started to call down the list. Mechanic #1 was Ramon's, but no one answered. Mechanic #2 said my car was too old and to try Mechanic #3, who said it would be four days before he could look at my car and recommended Mechanic # 2. I called #2 again and pleaded for help and was put on hold "to ask the manager." While on hold, I get a call from an unknown number with a 559 area code and decide to pick it up. It was Ramon. "I'm sorry to have missed your call. How can I help?" I shared my story and he said he might not have the part today given the van's age, but the least he could do is have a look. As the tow truck pulls onto Ramon's lot, he hops onto the flatbed, examines the situation, then assured us he would be able to help! He personally supervised the repair and test drove our vehicle. In the end, he handed me a write up of what he found to share with my mechanic at home. Our entire ordeal from breakdown to back on the road lasted three hours. I'm going to buy Ramon a clock for Christmas, because he only charged us for maybe an hour's worth of work instead of taking advantage of vulnerable and weary travelers. Ramon has restored my faith in humanity's ability to help one another in times of need and I cannot thank him and his crew enough. If you live in Mendota, or are passing through and have the same unfortunate luck as me, then I would highly recommend Ramon's for honest and excellent work at an amazing and fair rate!
