I've been a long time patron of this location, since the beginning and even tested some of their new sauces while it was coming out. Of the past 4 times I've been here, I have been always have crappy service from the front desk. The crossed-eyed hispanic kid that runs the counter has ZERO f's about tending the customers in line. He groups 2 asian people as they are together. He could see with at least 1 good eye, that there were customers in line waiting to pick up or place an order, and would rather look at the orders (that's been sitting there for a while, I watched them sort it and tell him). The simple act of just tending your customer line for pick up or ordering, and getting people their beverage shouldn't be difficult. Further, his help didn't even step in but rather look over their shoulder as if to hide behind their duties are the garnish station. I've ate here multiple times but the service was really quick when I came here two weeks ago to pick up food for my family! We picked up on a Saturday night around 5pm and they said it'd take around 45 minutes, luckily our order was ready when we came by. Usually we still have to wait an additional 15-20 minutes, but it was right on time! We ordered a family meal and the newest flavor we tried was the Peking flavor. I've written other Fire Wing reviews but this one should close its doors for a day a do a deep cleaning; before you open the door there is a stench of rotten food and as you look to your right there is a trash receptacle leaking liquid waste. Walking in to an empty restaurant you look for a clean table. Every table looks like it hasn't been cleaned while used napkins lay on the floor. It was around 2pm when we were there so it wasn't the start of the day. Now we did get our food quickly but it is a bit disconcerting to have you fore arms stick to the table. I got up to get a drink at the drink dispenser and it looked like a disaster. They are good at one thing, playing their music loud. If management sees this, please focus a little more on keeping the place clean and for goodness sake, power wash the entryway and clean the front door with some Windex.... Ordered boneless as well as bone-in Fire Wings on a weeknight. Lemon pepper, thai chili, salt and pepper, and dragon along with 4 dips. After getting home and checking our purchase, found out we were missing 1 of the 4 dips...disappointing. In terms of flavor and size of the chicken, really really good. My favorites were the thai chili and lemon pepper - of the 4 , the thai chili absolutely packed the most heat of them but was still edible without crying my eyes out. They have a wide selection of different flavors and we decided to order the lemon pepper, garlic parmesan and dragon. My favorite was definitely the garlic parmesan. The only downside to our meal was that our seasoned fries were on the soggy side and it was barely warm by the time we brought it back home (we live less than 10 mins away from this location ). I finally got to try this place after hearing some great reviews from some of my friends that live in the area! I'm from Southern California and I'm wishing they had this in LA! I prefer this place over wing stop because of the crispiness of the wings and the variety of sides they have! I cant stop thinking about how good it was! When I asked the lady at the register for recommendations, she didn't know any because it was her first day...so I ordered blindly and actually really enjoyed the items I ordered. I got the parmesian garlic wings and the salt and pepper Wings. Both were good although the parmesian garlic was a little greasy. I also ordered garlic noodles which was only 3.99 and good! Only reason I'm not giving this Fire Wings location a 1 star rating is because there was a time where I would love coming here during the first few years it was opened. Over time, the quality has waned, the service has become a negative, and just the overall experience isn't as pleasant as it once was. My most recent trip I placed an online order. I arrived at the time it said it would be ready which is about 15-20 minutes after placing the order. Once arrived they stated that it would be another 20 minutes on top of that. Not sure why, I'm sure they get plenty of orders, but then either they have to change the online services or train their staff to handle a large quantity of orders. Inside the restaurant there wasn't more than I'd say, 5 people there so it definitely didn't have to do with in-store customers. Fire Wings always has a plethora of flavors, but overall, the quality at this location has been subpar at best. It isn't anything different than what I would get from Wingstop if you're looking strictly for their chicken wings. Of course they do have some other food options such as chicken sandwiches, garlic noodles, etc. At this point, I really wouldn't go out of my way to get some chicken at this Fire Wings. After seeing several positive reviews of Fire Wings, I made it a priority to visit, and had dinner there tonight. I'm an occasional wing eater... but when I'm in the mood, I definitely seek out and appreciate for some good wings! Quick note: if you are a manager/owner of this location, please read to the end... I'm going to tack on a note I'd like you to see (look for the ***). Anyway - I've been to most if not all of the major wing chains - Buffalo Wild Wings, Wingstop, Wing Zone, Hooters, etc. They all to have pros and cons... I have favorite flavors at each of them. I'm looking forward to finding my favorite Fire Wings flavors. Upon arrival (just after 7pm on a Monday), it was obvious that this place was popular! Very little available seating, but I was lucky in my timing - there wasn't any line at all at the counter, so I was immediately able to put in an order. The gal taking my order was polite and helpful (and cute). It took a bit for me to figure out the flavors I wanted... several looked good. I got a 10-piece order of bone-in wings. You can pick two flavors with the 10-piece so I picked the Peanut Butter because I generally like Thai peanut sauces... and also picked Korean Kick. I chose both of these flavors because they sounded interesting and different from flavors I usually get on wings. I ordered some Blue Cheese dipping sauce, which cost extra. Many other places offer dipping sauces like these for free (just an observation). I also ordered Garlic Noodles because, well, I love Garlic Noodles. I headed to the soda machine - a little bummed to see that they were offering Pepsi products because I prefer Coke products... but eh, I'm used to it. I *was* happy to see that Pepsi now has something similar to the Coke Freestyle machine that lets you mix flavors. I've never seen a Pepsi version of those machines, so I learned something new tonight. With the Coke versions of these machines, I usually add Lime to Coke Zero. The Pepsi machine didn't have Lime, so I opted for Cherry Diet Pepsi. My order was delivered quickly... as fast or faster than other wing places. I realized that there weren't any napkins on my table (or any table) and no napkins on the tray that was just delivered to me either. Seems predictable that I would need napkins, no? Lots of napkins in large dispensers at the counter, so I'll just have to remember to get them before going to my table next time. I hit the Garlic Noodles first. The flavor was great, but the noodles themselves were a little off. They were slightly under cooked and frankly a little on the dry side. I had no problems finishing them because they *were* good... I just felt they could have been better. I mixed in some of the peanut sauce from my wings into the last half of my noodles... and Brilliant! That rocked! My own custom version of Pad Thai (kinda). I may continue to do that in the future even if the noodles are spot on... On to the chicken wings - they were cooked perfectly. Cooked through but not overcooked - they nailed the timing! Nice and juicy inside and a pleasing crispness to the skin hidden under the sauce. The sauce on the wings was very generous... plenty of extra to mix in with the noodles ;) The peanut butter sauce was good... well represented the flavor of the typical peanut sauce with just a bit of kick that you'll find in Thai restaurants. While eating those wings, I decided that I wasn't as crazy about the peanut sauce on chicken wings as I thought I might be - but that's strictly a personal taste kind of thing - no knock whatsoever on Fire Wings. Next up was the Korean Kick... very good... had a Korean-type taste... and again, probably won't end up up being my favorite flavor. As before, this is strictly a *personal* taste thing. I intentionally picked flavors that were new to me instead of picking flavors that I knew had a chance of being my favorites. In future visits, I'll continue my tour of flavors. And yes, I'll definitely be back. This place has a lot of promise and potential!! It could very well become my favorite wing place, but it's just not quite there (in my mind) yet. I need to find my flavors... and hopefully I just got a worse than usual batch of noodles. *** Now on to my comment to management. After eating, I went to the restroom to wash the sticky off my hands. I flipped on the faucet and put my full hand under it... and WOW... immediately pulled it back in PAIN because the water was scalding hot! Nearly melt the flesh off hot. The hottest water I've put my hand into in a long time. My hand was still hurting a bit an hour later. But this note isn't about me, I'll be fine. I'm very concerned that a young child could go in the bathroom and do the same thing. I guarantee they'd come out screaming and possibly do some real damage to themselves. Max temperature of water in public restrooms is limited to 120F by code. I guarantee this water was hotter. There are ways to fix this... please look into it! I'll be back! read more

I have ordered to go or dinner here many times in the pass few years. Fire Wings is very successful and opened many more restaurants in the last couple years. But this first original Fire Wings is still very busy all the time! Fire Wings has the best taste of the wings compared to the other wings restaurants. They have so many choices of seasonings. I still haven't tried it all! Their wings are so yummy! The cashiers here are friendly. Never made a single mistake on my orders. Parking lot is very busy. Some time is hard to find a parking space in front of the restaurant at the evening. But you can found a parking space much easier if you park your car to the side parking lot in between Pho Le and UA Theatres. Usually many parking spaces are available there. read more

Wow..first time here at Fire Wings..packed! We ordered the Fire, Korean Kick, and Dragon. Fire was not spicy at all lol but it was good. I'd say the Dragon was the best even though it wasn't spicy. Korean Kick was alright and not spicy at all even though it was probably five spot below the spicy level. We also ordered the regular season fries which to me tasted like the curly fries from Jack in the Box. Lol lastly, regular garlic noodles which were ok. Nothing too special about them imo. I love chicken wings and tater tots but this time it was not as good this time around. My wings were greasy and not crispy including the dry rub wings. The wings were sitting in a lot of oil like it wasn't fresh. My tater tots were pass the golden color and also holding a lot of grease that no one ate this meal which is very disappointing. Also, my carrots and celery were not in the bag. I'm not sure why there are 5 ladies behind the counter and the only one that is busting their tail is the guy putting the food in the bags. I received a text at 2:26pm that my food was ready for pickup. When I got there the staff member who helped me was very nice, but I'm not sure what happened. They told me to wait a few minutes. When I left the place it was 2:52pm. I'm certain my order of a chicken sandwich and garlic noodles was accidentally given away to someone else, but it would have been nice to know what happened instead of waiting there for 20 minutes past the time I should have received my order with no updates. But they also have great sides: garlic noodles, fries, tater tots, Mozzarella sticks, zucchini sticks, stuffed jalapeños, Mac & cheese, veggie sticks and much more. My favorite flavors are: salt & pepper, lemon pepper, garlic Parmesan, dragon & peanut butter. Seating at this location is limited compared to other locations, but this is the original location so it's smaller. The only reason why I have to take away a star is because there has a few times where this particular store would take a long time for my order. Came to Fire Wings on a Sunday afternoon and was surprised to see it not busy (which was a good thing for me ) Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by the cashier and was told to order whenever we were ready. He was very helpful and was willing to answer any question we had about their flavors. I decided to order 10 wings. That came with 2 flavors and 1 dipping sauce. I got Lemon Pepper and Thai Chili. I usually do not like have "wet" wings, but Thai Chili is pretty good. It has a good kick to it. We got our food in about 10 minutes. The food was very good and yummy. Been here many times, and the wings never fail. My favorite flavors are lemon pepper and dragon (give it a try). When coming in, I've got great service ordering at the counter. Food usually comes out quickly given how busy it can get in there. The only thing I don't like are their bathrooms. Yes, it's about the food but if I need to use the restroom I'd like to do so without getting grossed out. Maybe just a little more upkeep and it would be fine. I probably would rate this place higher if I hadn't eaten wings at Fire On The Mountain last week in Portland. It's one of the best wing joints around. I'm not a big eater so I ordered the Kid's Meal of 4 boneless wings and fries for $4.99. I ask for the Thai Chili flavor and the ranch dipping sauce. This is my first time here and I expected the Thai Chili to be spicier than it was. But, they were still tasty and they gave me 5 pieces rather than 4 for some reason? The ranch dressing was flavorless and very thin, watery. The fries were just average fries. Nothing special. The flavor of my Diet Pepsi was way off and their drink machine needs to be adjusted. Fire Wings is my go to spot. The chicken tender fries are crazy! I stick with the bbq ones but the buffalo are decent. The wings are good and there's a great amount of flavor options. Much better than wingstop or other chicken spots in the area. I like the seasoned fries and tots. I wasn't too thrilled with the mozzarella sticks and haven't really tried any other side. I have had my order wrong a couple of times, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars, and I've had a couple of dry/overcooked chicken sandwiches. But for as many times as I've been here, those make up very few negative visits. The wait can get a little long depending on the time/day. However, they're typically good at taking phone orders so you can time your pickup out right so you won't be waiting and you can always place an online order as well. But like I said, this is my go to spot. read more
