I called A1 Quality Care Air Conditioning and left a message, knowing they were likely busy helping other customers. I missed their first return call, but when I called back, I was able to connect with Wanda--and I'm so glad I did! Wanda was incredibly pleasant, patient, and helpful. With so many different makes and models out there, I was a little nervous about trying to open it myself and didn't want to risk breaking anything. She calmly walked me through the process step by step over the phone, and thanks to her guidance, I was able to pop it open and change the batteries without any issues. I truly appreciate her taking the time to help me with what might seem like a small concern--it made a big difference. Wanda is a fantastic representative for the company! Thank you again for the excellent customer service!

They did not suggest any additional work or leave an estimate for any additional repairs. Three weeks later, the same issue started happening again. I called them, and they came out and charged another $477 to clear the drain and get it working again. They then gave us an estimate of close to $3,700 to fix the problem (and the estimate does not include redoing any concrete). I contacted another well-known plumber who is highly rated in the Reno area and sent them information about what had been done so far, along with the estimate. They let me know that they would have only charged $370 to snake the main drain and would not have charged anything for the follow-up visit. They also said that if the suggested work needed to be done, their estimate would be closer to $3,200. When the plumbing issues first came up, I panicked and picked a name I had heard in commercials. I should have done more research. My dad is retired, lives alone, and is on a fixed income. He has already had to pay too much extra money toward this issue and definitely cannot afford the expensive repair they suggested during the second visit. Since writing my original review above, I have had another company come out in person for a second opinion. They came up with a much more reasonable plan that actually includes replacing the concrete and completing the repair for $1,000 less. Just know that if you are looking for a plumber in Reno, you have other options that are also highly rated and will definitely charge you less.
