History

Established in 1988.

Fire Protection Services Inc was founded in 1988 by Mr. Robert 'Lanny' English when he purchased several contracts from his father, who was also in the sprinkler business. Lanny not only wanted to serve the client's fire sprinkler systems, but all of the clients' fire protection systems, e.g., fire extinguishers, cooking hoods, fire alarms, etc. As one of the first companies to offer the "full range" of services, we were able to save clients money by combining these services. In addition, we saved property by making sure the systems performed as designed, and maybe in the process, we've saved a few lives. Our measure of success is partially based on how long our customers stay with us and the fact that many of our original clients from back in the early days still call us for service means we must be doing something right. In fact, many clients that go to the market to try another provider end up coming back to us after their experience with others.

Recently, we have decided to respond to the enormous demand in the Atlanta marketplace by establishing a local office in the Atlanta metro area. Our future plans include growth into a multi-state company and eventually growing into a regional player in the Life Safety Business.
