We had a stellar experience with this company. They were the first pool company I called when purchasing a new home. But then I thought I should check out and research more pool companies because this was the first pool I had ever had built. After interviewing everyone in the area and two years wasted I went back to the first guy I found and that was David at EZ Aqua. I just had a good feeling about him from the start and I should have trusted my gut because after working with him and having our pool for the fourth Summer I now know without a doubt I'd never use anyone else. David was so knowledgable and he doesn't do the hard sell. What I really appreciate about him is that he listened to what we wanted and was able to advise and educate us on what our best options were. He did not disappoint. In fact he delivered!!! He's honest and fair as well as working within our specific budget and got us the best bang for our buck. We LOVE it!!! David built us a beautiful pool that turned out exactly the way we envisioned. We had zero problems, no unwanted surprises, and nothing but great Summers ever since. He also built our pool ahead of schedule. I honestly can't thank him enough. I highly recommend him and his company. They truly are the best around with NO B.S. The EZ Aqua motto is, 'We make memories!" Boy do they!!! I have to say that is right in line with my experience! They make GREAT memories that will last a lifetime for my husband, myself, and our children!!! I should mention that I have a son with Autism and the pool has been wonderful for him and has helped him get outside and to socialize. I noticed another reviewer who left a negative review before I hired David and I'm so glad I didn't listen to what that person said. After the experience I had it sounds like absolute garbage to me. I can't speak for that person but I can say I had a totally opposite experience from start to finish and even beyond. Four years later and David is still totally accommodating even if we just have a question he's always been there for anything we need! I can only assume that some people are unable to please. I just have a hard to time picturing that he could be talking about the same company. That wasn't me experience at all and it's a shame that a good guy got such a bum rap. His work speaks for itself!!! Four years later -- results don't lie! I also have had hordes of guests and without a doubt every time people comment on our pristine pool that David built for us. My second regret is not leaving this review soon enough!!! He truly earned it. If I move and build another pool hands down without hesitation David will be my first and only call and he should be yours too!!! You can thank me later because this is the guy. When you speak with him you will realize what I'm saying is fact. Pool builders can be unscrupulous so go with a guy you can trust and that's David at EZ Aqua. We always got a phone call telling us what was going on whether it was to reschedule a date, follow up on a comment or to stop by. There was no point during the build where we were not in contact and did not have a good idea of what was going on. During the initial interview, he had great suggestions that made the outcome better and he wasn't pushing products we didn't need. I knew this place because last year my water would not clear and when I took water to this store Mary was so nice and helpful and she did not charge me for testing water and I purchased only what was needed and sure enough crystal clear water within a day. I sent them a message about the filter at 6:00am and before they even opened Mark let me know he could stop by and check out my filter that morning. He text me back saying it was not a big deal and he fixed it with no worries. He is also going to try and connect with me and show me some tips. They came out and gave us a once through. We used them to close that year and open the next. The opening was sloppy with things tossed around the yard, but I hadn't been home so I talked to Teddy, texted him pics, and let it go. Last fall they came and closed the pool. Again things were strewn about, but this time they were all on the deck, so some improvement. Unbeknownst to us, Teddy Bear technicians had broken the pipe that goes from the filter to the pool. I don't know what that's called, a return maybe? Anyway, this spring we tried to fill the pool per their instructions. I had noted that it should take a couple of hours. We ran a steady, very strong steam for 4 hours and the water level barely moved. I did this for three days. The opening team said they can't test anything bc we didn't fill the pool. I continued to fill and continue and then some more. The water level wasn't moving. Perplexed, I begin walking around the pool looking for the culprit when I see a steady stream of water flowing from under the deck. I turned off the water and climb under. The pipe that used to go from the filter back into the pool was destroyed. When we contacted Teddy Bear they said it wasn't their fault. Then, they said the winterizing plug would have prevented the fill problem. Lastly, Mario said the pipe froze. To that I respond: had the techs been paying attention they'd have seen the problem. Plugging the basket had no effect when the 'return' was acting like a bathtub overflow. And an open pipe with no water in it and buried does not freeze. Mario was rude and hung up on us when my wife was trying to explain all the factors that make it clear this happened when they closed the pool last year. Update: Upon learning of our experience Ted called and scheduled a visit to our home. He came out, assessed the issues, and after explaining way more about chemicals and the history of Teddy Bear Pools than we needed to know, he fully resolved the entire problem. Ted is a talker and a salesman to the core. He ensured we were happy with the end result and even called the next day to see if we had any questions or concerns we had not addressed. An exceptional response.
