Despite being told by hotel concierge that they didn't take reservations, this is not correct. If you can navigate the Spanish-only website, they DO offer online reservations. We arrive at 6:55 for our 7 pm reservation and there were already 50+ people (tourists) lined up to get in when they open at 7. The restaurant is huge so if you go early you could easily walk in, but the benefit of the reservation was having a prime table set aside on the edge of the open-air restaurant.

The pizza here is legitimately good. The dough is soft but crisp on the edges. The toppings taste fresh. The cheese is well melted. It hit all the right marks plus had a good portion size. The drink selection is a little basic so dodge that. Also avoid their table olive oil because it's just bad. Minor improvements would really put them over the top. Especially for the price, I'd have pizza here again any time.

This pizza restaurant, situated on Avenida Providencia, is a good choice for Italian food and…read morepizza. There is streetside, open air dining, or you can eat indoors. The space is large enough to accommodate groups. It was a hot day in Santiago, and I chose the indoor option, which was slightly cooler than the outdoor option. My waiter was very efficient and helpful, and I had a very enjoyable thin crust pizza. They have a delicious Pisco sour, and Carmenere wine (by the glass) went well with my pizza. I enjoy thin crust pizza that is not overwhelmed by toppings, and my pizza was well balanced. This restaurant seems to be popular with locals and tourists alike -- it's always a good sign when there are more locals than tourists eating at a restaurant. I am very happy with my choice of pizza restaurants that evening.

When you walk in, ask the person at the register what kind of pizza they are serving next (they serve by the slice). If you think it sounds good, tell him/her how many slices you want. Once you order, you find a place against the wall (they don't have tables here, you just stand at a bar/counter thing). When your slice is ready, they'll bring it to you. Whenever you're done, ask for your receipt and you pay again at the register. It wasn't too busy when I went in (4pm), but I've seen that it's a little insane for lunch. It's very much an in-out sort of place. It's the perfect place to go if you're running errands in el centro!

However the actual portions have been downsized and the lack of bread to the table or grated cheese really seems a bit much. They keep the same pricing yet the table service changes for reason that no one seems to fully understand. The pizza I had Gianmarco was truly tasty: imported tomato sauce from Italy, imported funghi, and cheese. It was a great combination of flavours, I only wish they hadn't adjusted the size to smaller one. Dessert was good but not great. The panacotta was a lot better.
