We recently hired Ryan Hacker to paint the exterior of our home in Rancho Cucamonga. Ryan was extremely responsive any time we would call him or text him. Overall, we believe he and his "prep" man; Jose, did a great job.
However, a day after they completed the job it was noticed that a patch of paint on the very front of the house had peeled off. Ryan was contacted on January 29 and he said "no problem". He was contacted on Feb 1 and he said that he would "try" to get over as he started another job and was starting early and picking up kids (no back up I guess). He said he would keep us posted - that did not happen. Contacted him again on Feb 7 and were told that he was finishing up his job out of town and would be able to come the next day. He said that he had been leaving early and not getting home until late. We told him we were disappointed in the follow up as it would have taken maybe a half hour. He thought since the house looked "amazing" that a touch up was not a big deal. He could not even make time to call or swing by on the weekend. He did have all his money; of course. My husband corrected the problem since it was right on the front of the house.
I informed Ryan that I was going to post on yelp and give him the kudos he deserved, but also let people know that if there is a problem, he seems to be unconcerned.
If you want someone who is responsive in the beginning; which is rare; and does a good job (we hope there will not be further problems), and is a nice person to work with, we highly recommend Ryan. However, we would have been wiser to hold back some of the money for at least a week to see if there were problems that needed taken care of (shame on us). This was a $6200 job, and a phone call or text, or swing by would have been the professional thing to do.
