The woman working was so nice and helpful with wine selections. We all decided to start with flights as it was only $5 for six tastings. We were also told that if we bought a bottle after the $5 flight tasting would be waived! They had a selection of all types of wines and the 'menu' was extremely helpful at describing the flavors of the wine. All the wines were delicious and I tasted all the flavors as exactly described on the sheet, whether it was the smokiness or hints of blackberry - I've never been able to do that with other wines before, which shows me the winemakers here know exactly what they are doing! There was a bar area for tastings but there were also plenty of tables for sitting. The prices were unbeatable and we left with quite a few bottles in tow. A must-stop while working your way through the wine trail!

After having read about mead, and never having tasted it, I began a quest to find a bottle. The…read morePennsylvania state stores only carried a honey flavored, grape based wine... just a simulated mead. However, today I was excited to find the Rebel Hive Meadery while browsing in the Fairgrounds Farmers Market! This was the first weekend they were open for business. Mike and Ryan were informative, helpful and welcoming. Ryan poured samples of their meads for tasting. I'm not going to attempt a mead review, as I'm inexperienced and was focused on simply tasting their basic mead, called "It's Not You, It's Mead". It was positively delicious! With my best French accent... "It was bright with hints of Concord grapes!". Haha, actually they assured me that there are no grapes in this mead! It is so special to have discovered Rebel Hive Meadery. I encourage you to try them out!

We moved to the Denver PA area in 2019. We visited Denver Beer Distributor yesterday, June 10th,…read more2020. We were very impressed with the store and the employees and their courteous service. Thank you so much for displaying the sign that customers should wear masks during the Covid-19 pandemic. Also, a big thank you for the employees that are interacting with customers wearing masks also. We, of course, war masks also. We inquired about a craft beer, which they didn't have, but after discussing it with the courteous, knowledgeable ,young man employee, we ended up buying a different craft beer. The parking lot is convenient, the store is laid out nicely with plenty of room to enter and walk through the store, even during these times of required social distancing. The service was great. We will be back!

Thanks to some wacko PA laws, you'll inevitably find yourself in one of these (state-run? could a…read morelocal please help me out here) beer distributors. As near as I can tell it works like this: Beer, wine and spirits are not sold anywhere except beer stores and wine/spirit stores. You can't buy beer at wine/spirit stores and vice-versa. You can buy beer in a bar by the six pack, but you pay bar prices, so about $10 or so a six pack. If you buy beer from a distributor, you can only buy it by the case. So if you are already annoyed from having to jump through so many hoops to buy beer, the least a distributor could do is offer a great selection and have awesome service. Denver Beer Distributor does both. The guy who helped my brother-in-law and I talked to us about beer for nearly 30 minutes, offering his suggestions and opinions. For a beer snob like me, it doesn't get better than that!

We go here at least once a year, usually for the Yuletide rennfest... this year we decided to check…read moreout Time Travelers Weekend and had a blast. We travel all the way from Baltimore. We don't even bother with the maryland rennaissance Faire because the PA one is so much more accessible. Most, if not all, of the shops have ramps. Though some shops, like the dice shop, are so tiny inside its a big mistake to take a wheelchair inside. The women's bathroom/privy before you go through the gates needs a lot of work. Toilets are clogged before the gates even open at 11am. Some toilets rock when you sit on them because they're not properly affixed to the floor. There's only one accessible stall and it was clogged this time which meant I had to use a much too small stall, with the door open because my chair was in the way. The food is, as you can imagine, expensive. $9 for chicken tenders, which I found dry. I got an iced coffee at The Dark Knight... and the server seemed angry to be there. She told us there weren't any lids for the cup, when there were plenty of other cups with lids... driving downhill in a wheelchair while carrying a cup, with liquid sloshing all over the place is not my idea of fun. And it wasn't even any good. We were super stoked to find the TARDIS. And I have my eye on a fancy hat I want to buy when we return for their Halloween experience. I hope I have more money then cuz handmade goods can be costly.
