Good selection of craft beer here, and they have a great variety of styles. Not as many beers as Mari's in Reading, however if you want a craft beer other than an IPA I would recommend checking this place out. As a bonus I have seen tastings here several times. The aisles are crammed, but that's because they have shelves crammed with beer, so that's alright in my book. Friendly staff. Keep it up!

We moved to the Denver PA area in 2019. We visited Denver Beer Distributor yesterday, June 10th,…read more2020. We were very impressed with the store and the employees and their courteous service. Thank you so much for displaying the sign that customers should wear masks during the Covid-19 pandemic. Also, a big thank you for the employees that are interacting with customers wearing masks also. We, of course, war masks also. We inquired about a craft beer, which they didn't have, but after discussing it with the courteous, knowledgeable ,young man employee, we ended up buying a different craft beer. The parking lot is convenient, the store is laid out nicely with plenty of room to enter and walk through the store, even during these times of required social distancing. The service was great. We will be back!

Thanks to some wacko PA laws, you'll inevitably find yourself in one of these (state-run? could a…read morelocal please help me out here) beer distributors. As near as I can tell it works like this: Beer, wine and spirits are not sold anywhere except beer stores and wine/spirit stores. You can't buy beer at wine/spirit stores and vice-versa. You can buy beer in a bar by the six pack, but you pay bar prices, so about $10 or so a six pack. If you buy beer from a distributor, you can only buy it by the case. So if you are already annoyed from having to jump through so many hoops to buy beer, the least a distributor could do is offer a great selection and have awesome service. Denver Beer Distributor does both. The guy who helped my brother-in-law and I talked to us about beer for nearly 30 minutes, offering his suggestions and opinions. For a beer snob like me, it doesn't get better than that!

This is Berks County's only specialty shop, with Chairman's Selections and a wine consultant (who…read morehas great advice and understands that not everyone can afford the priciest stuff). He used to write a wine column in the local paper, and I don't know why it went away. This store is due for a redesign, so aesthetically, it is not awash in muted lighting and warm wall colors like the newer stores. But they pack a lot in a small space, and I have been pleased with the ever rotating selection of dry roses now that it is summer, many from France, the best region for these being Provence. If you like boxed wine, the biggest selection is here, and don't laugh, because some of it is perfectly drinkable. You will not believe how many candy-flavored vodkas are out there now; but this stuff must be selling, because there is almost a wall of it. There is large section of close-outs in the front, and I occasionally find something I like there, but that also means it is being discontinued in PA stores. This store is also where you will find the county's best selection of sparkling wines, though they seem to be either high end or very low, not much in the middle range. I heard the even-newer store design is a big kiosk in the middle and the look of a market, which sounds lovely. They sell useful wine totes that hold 6 bottles and are only a dollar, good for groceries and other shopping too. Very nice staff too, though there is one person who routinely calls women customers "sweetie" and "doll" (even after being asked NOT to by a number of women) which management should correct. It is condescending rather than polite.

You can sit wherever you'd like and there are games and stuff to use while you're there. For a beer company, the selection was fairly small. They did have canned cocktails that were local though! We had no idea how much beer to get (I don't drink and she only drinks occasionally), and we were all set to buy a huge amount! The man helped us figure out how much we ACTUALLY needed, which turned out to be significantly less than what we had been anticipating. Lots of businesses will try to up-sell customers, thus encouraging them to spend more money, but this gentleman did the opposite: he saved us a ton of money by encouraging us not to buy too much, while also ensuring that we had an adequate amount and variety for our guests. If we ever need to get beer for an event again, we'd return there in a heartbeat!
