This time it was a Puerto Rican silver rum called Castillo. Really smooth, even straight out of the bottle! Bacardi has the name in the states, but Castillo and Don Q are the rums you'll see people drinking in Puerto Rico! Stay away though from Palo Viejo, which means "old stick"! You're better off sucking on an old stick soaked in turpentine than drinking this stuff! Prices are reasonable as well. Maybe the tax on liquor is lower than in NJ! Honestly, I was more disappointed when it came to checking out. Instead of getting a "hello" or anything remotely decent, the FIRST thing the lady rang me up said, "I'm going to need to see I.D. and your friends too." Talk about RUDE! Yes, I barely look 21, as do most young adults, but a simple "hey, I'm going to need to see yours and your friend's I.D." would've been perfectly fine with us. I wasn't resisting showing my I.D. or anything, but basic customer service goes a long way regardless of what age your customers look like, and we were the only ones in the store. Do better.
