One thing I appreciated was how quickly they were able to schedule the work. I got an appointment within a couple of days, which is not easy to find in the area. But because of the high markup, I would not return here for non-urgent repairs.

They looked it over and told me it was road worthy. I asked again about my car and told them that I would be traveling with my vehicle and that I transport individuals for my job. I was assured again that my vehicle was fine and that the noise and shaking would stop once it settles. After a few weeks I brought my concerns to a few people who recommended that I get a second and third opinion. After paying the shop $1,800 for repairs on my vehicle I found out that they never replaced the wheel bearings, or any of the other repairs that I paid for. While entering a parking lot at a local restaurant, I inadvertently drove over a hard-to-see curb. The curb jutted unexpectedly into the entrance and wasn't painted, so I didn't even see it. The rim on the front passenger side tire was slightly bent and I was concerned about the tire, so I took my car to Fine Line the next day to have it looked at. I was worried that the repair would be costly. I had just bought the car a few weeks before and was very stressed out. To my great relief, however, I was met with a friendly smile by the lady at the front desk and the technician got right on it. Twenty minutes later he emerged from the garage and announced that the rim had been repaired and the tire was undamaged! The cost for his work? $20.00! I was so relieved. In sum, the good people at Fine Line made my day. They took care of the problem quickly and efficiently and restored my faith in humanity. I'll never forget them for that. Thanks!!!

It was clear that each member of the team really cares about the customer. I got to work with the owner, Roger; the service manager, Tim, and mechanic Bryan. They all took extra care and attention in a situation that wasn't an "easy fix" and required some brain power and creativity. I may never be in Houghton again, and they knew that, but they went the extra mile anyway. I also want to share that when I complimented Bryan on his trouble-shooting skill, he told me how he feel fortunate to work for Roger because Roger creates such a customer centered work environment.
