When I arrived I told them I was learning and just looking. That did not slow them down at all. Fine Art Photo is truly a wonderful business. I have purchased two cameras from them and both were a fair price for such high quality items. Gary is incredibly knowledgeable and has helped me get comfortable with loading film in my cameras before I leave the store. I recently had a user error with my camera and Gary offered to take a look at it to see if he could help. Fine Art photo is not fancy from an outside view. Once you walk inside this business within a small strip mall, your view is transformed. Review before and after restorations--amazing results! Check out the collectible and vintage cameras and equipment. It's a wonderful step back in time. Fine Art gave an estimate true to the final cost of a restoration of a damaged, treasured photo from the 50s. Some customers may balk at the cost of photo restorations, but what counts is the quality of the finished product. The finished work was excellent! The restoration and reproductions in 8×10 and 5×7 sizes of a photo of two beloved family members was a huge success. Have you ever been a kid in a candy store? If not, I feel very sorry for you. For me, those feelings came rushing back in Fine Art Photo Inc. I came to the Harrisburg area to visit and photograph some local sights, but upon arrival I realized I forgot all my lens filters at home. Camera stores are few and far between these days, so when I fired off a Yelp search it wasn't with much hope. Unbelievably, this store was a mile away. The shop is dense with camera equipment - it's the kind of experience you just can't get on Amazon or B&H. The owner/manager is a gem. I came up with filter after filter I needed and he found me used, high quality filters he sold me at extremely reasonable prices. If I wasn't careful I could have spent thousands of dollars in there, but even with the six items I purchased the manager was very conscious about managing the price to keep it affordable. As he searched for the filters I needed, I scoured the store, goggling at the incredible vintage cameras they carry. Among modern equipment, a lot the supplies and accessories are very retro. He had cameras in stock that my grandfather used, it was really a trip. While searching through the contemporary lenses and camera bodies, I pulled up Amazon to compare his prices and they always matched up or bettered those prices. As a cherry on top, there are a couple bins of "odds and ends" which I rummaged through, finding a couple key accessories I needed, but hadn't ordered online yet. Another great feature is their stacks of lens/body caps, you can never have too many of those! They also offer photo restoration and I was shocked by their incredible album of samples - they can take a badly tarnished old photograph and completely rejuvenate it. Overall, I left the store feeling like I'd be treated very well by an honest small business owner. If I lived in this area, I'd swing through all the time, but the least I can do is leave this review! read more

Apparently I've now become part of an underground cult that still hangs onto shooting photos on film. Good news is that while all the other photo shops in the area have closed, Fine Art has stuck around and maintains rather knowledgeable. I'm not sure who processes their film orders but I've always been satisfied with results, and the store has that pleasant, classic old-timey photoshop feel. My only gripe is that you used to be able to choose from a variety of 20ish different types of film, now you can only get like 4 different types of 35mm film, and then it costs about $15 to get it processed. Sigh. I'm in my 20s and I already feel like an old man complaining about the times. read more

I was cleaning out the garage when I chanced upon an old negative and decided to find a local photographic developer. I decided to use Fine Art in Lemoyne to handle the job. The price was decent and they did great work. The lady who took the order was knowledgeable and very nice. One week later, I now have a cool 1940s era photo. They also do portraits and sell equipment and cameras. You can also get digital prints made there and store your photos online indefinitely. The latter is a free service. I would definitely recommend them. read more

I have had pictures taken here since my children were 12 and 3 and they are now 18 and 27. I was always so happy with the photos until two weeks ago when we went for Christmas photos and out of 50 taken, NONE were worth buying. The quality was extremely poor. We spent time and money to get ready for the pictures and all was wasted. I will not go back again. Greatly disappointed. read more

DO NOT GO HERE unless you are willing to pay an enormous amount of money for very few pictures that are poor quality. I have a 2 year old and 1 year old that went here for Easter pictures and all of the cheaper packages they offered only allowed one pose. When I called to see about putting 4 of the pictures on Facebook WITH the watermark I was told it would be $20 for them all on a cd WITH the watermark. They are only in it for the money. Stay away! read more
