We discovered Springs Gifts & Souvenirs during a stay in Harrison last July. It was a new-to-us…read moreshop, and still quite newly-located in the village of Harrison as well. For us, it was 'refreshing' to see a new replacement to the store we had known to occupy this particular location during past several trips, so we were both anxious and curious to stop in and check it out. The store was clean and tidy, the offerings very neatly set up and arranged. Once in, and walking about the shop, it soon became apparent, that what was being sold were quality, gifts and souvenirs. Some of the clothing offerings (name jackets, sweaters, and such), sure caught my attention. The service provided at the time was friendly and very helpful. Yeah! .. a fine addition to Harrison, and to this small, centrally-located Plaza of shops. Hopefully, we'll get back to Harrison before winter sets in, and be able to check out those jackets, and other offerings once again, when the outside temperature is more tempting to the cause!

Overall Impression Nuway Deals is a budget‑focused,…read moredonation‑driven thrift shop known for its low prices, fast turnover, and no‑nonsense layout. It's smaller than the big chains, but that's part of its appeal: you can sweep the entire store quickly, and when a good donation batch hits, the finds can be surprisingly strong. What Nuway Deals Does Well - Very low prices -- One of the cheapest thrift options in the region. Clothing, books, and household items are often priced far below Value Village or Talize. - Fast stock rotation -- Items move quickly, and new donations hit the floor often, making it worth checking regularly. - Compact layout -- Easy to sweep in a single pass without spending an hour inside. - Friendly, community feel -- Staff are approachable, and the store feels like a local staple rather than a corporate chain. - Good for household basics -- Kitchenware, décor, and small home items are usually priced to move. Things to Expect - Inconsistent inventory -- Some days are completely dry; others feel like a jackpot. Donation timing heavily affects the experience. - Electronics are rare -- Speaker hunters won't find much here; the electronics section is small and unpredictable. - Limited space -- A smaller footprint means fewer categories and less variety overall. - Condition varies -- Items aren't curated as tightly as Talize, so you'll see a mix of great finds and things that should've stayed in the donation bin. Who Nuway Deals Is Best For - Shoppers who want rock‑bottom prices and don't mind inconsistent stock. - Thrift hunters who enjoy quick sweeps between bigger stores. - People looking for household essentials or quirky décor. - Anyone building a multi‑store circuit and wants a fast, low‑risk stop. Quick, Review‑Ready Summary Nuway Deals is a small, community‑driven thrift store with excellent prices and fast‑changing inventory. It's not the place for electronics or massive hauls, but it's perfect for quick sweeps, household finds, and the occasional hidden gem. A reliable budget stop in any Surrey thrift circuit.

We were back to Le Shed again during a recent end-of-September stay in Hope. Daughter and I…read moredropped in during a downtown walkabout the first afternoon of our stay. And then came back with Mom the next day, so she could finally have the opportunity of meeting/chatting with the owner, and seeing her fine shop and offerings, and witnessing her wonderful artistic talents. It was another opportunity for us to see and chat with 'Cindy' (owner/artist), about her current displays, recent restorations, new creations, and some of her future plans, thoughts, and all. Several offerings caught our attention this time, but especially, a large, writing/art-working desk display, and several pieces of furniture she had restored since our last visit. We sure enjoyed seeing the very artistic, creative, and lovely makeovers she had completed with each (desk, side/lamp table, large cabinet, and bureau). Fine pieces, that will make lovely additions to someone's home, studio, or the like. These works, and some others, gave us the opportunity to see a little of what she has been doing, and how she has been experimenting with the 'FAT' brand of paints, and other products, she carries and sells in her shop. We so-enjoyed these visits to 'Le Shed'. With its lovely proprietor, and cool displays of "old things, vintage, and odds & ends" stuff -- for us, a 'must-do' stop in downtown Hope.
