    SO good!

This was a great find for me on a day where I had been fasting for labs! TMI? Maybe! So while famished and craving some comfort food, I went driving around and found this Latin-owned bakery in the heart of Hialeah. The service was on point and very pleasant. The treats I purchased were fresh! They were a stuffed potato ball (beef), two guava, and two cream cheese & guava pastries. Everything was flaky, creamy, gooey, and fresh; with that authentic taste that I can never get from the bakery case at my local big box grocery store! I found them the day before Thanksgiving so it was very busy with customers picking up their pre-ordered meals & treats, but you wouldn't know it by the way they checked out each and everyone there. Yes, I noticed! I wouldn't know why they named the bakery Finale, but I hope they keep baking, cooking, and serving up with as much passion and precision as they have to date.

Finale Bakery in Quail Roost. Simply the best

I woke up early craving a chicken empanada. I went around 7 a.m. there were 4 women there all assisting just 1 person or chatting in between while getting her order. I was standing there for literally over 10 minutes. My husband wanted a chicken empanada too so I wanted to also try with ground beef. They finally assisted me when someone else came in over 10 minutes later. I guess he's a regular cause they were getting his order at the same time they were getting mines. The empanadas are sweet which is disappointing. I asked for 2 chicken 1 beef and they gave me 1 chicken 2 beef. I highly doubt I'll be returning. Service was horrible to begin with.

Great cakes, all the classic Cuban pastries, and pastelitos and croquetas to die for (or from?)…read more What a way to go! I came here because more than a few people told me about their guava pastelitos. Let me just say, not all guava pastelitos are created equally! You get that after having one of their perfectly flaky and sweet guava pastries. They've been worked on by traditional bakers who know what they're doing. This also extended to the guava and cheese and cheese only pastelitos. So addicting. They'll ruin you for any other. This is a dive in a tiny strip mall with limited parking. There's no seating inside, so it's strictly grab-and-go. They're very efficient and nice.

Croquetas are my favorite here. Everything else it's just average and typical Cuban bakery stuff…read more The staff is quick to attend but getting good service is a flip of a coin. Sometimes great, others not very pleasant. This looks and feels like any Hialeah bakery that needs some TLC since it looks like it's stuck in 1998. Parking is terrible and sometimes dangerous because people driving on West 4th Ave confuse it with the Daytona 500 race track. But it's worth it for the croquetas. Here is a pro tip: croquetas are $1. But 25 party croquetas is around $8 as of this writing. But you get so much more for your money. If that's too much for you, just share them with friends or family...
