AND Don't forget, Santa has paid his early, annual visit downstairs in the Christmas Store. OMG! So fun and wonderful. Giggles and ouuuus and ahwwwws. I have been shopping here for years. There is always something that is so special for self or other! It's delightful! You will never take it all in in one visit. That's OK, Valerie will always have something just right that you missed the first time around. Truly, Miss Valerie the owner, is the kindest, sweetest person to welcome you in her doors and those that that work in the store are also the best. Feeling down? Plain and Fancy will pick you up with the fun of the unique! Enjoy Neighbors....I sure do....

I walked inside and the lady who greeted me told me she would be just a minute. Nobody else was in the store so I don't know why I had to wait for her to ring me up. I asked for a paper bag with handles. She had given me a plastic bag with handles. Her response was, no your bag has handles. You can't have that one. I was very much taken aback by her rude and abrupt tone and the fact that she would not give me a paper bag. I will never go back to a store that would be so cheap as to not give a customer a paper bag upon request

The space is noticeably bigger than their previous one, which gives them more staging area and space to offer larger pieces of furniture, artwork, and clothing in addition to all the unique goodies they already carried within the store that are smaller scale. Everything here is extremely pricey, which is unfortunate for me given that there are many things I love from here, but I just simply can't justify spending exorbitant amounts of money on these sorts of homegoods and accessories too often. The products they carry are definitely geared towards the more affluent and those with lofty home design ideas, as they also have fabric samples and the like to help you design and customize your furniture and upholstery upon them in the back of the store too. The price tags make sense in the sense that I have not seen any of the products they offer in any other stores in the metro Detroit area, so there's nothing to compare their goods to. This is a great place to window shop or stop in to get inspiration for your home and to pick up a unique piece or two. I'm still thinking about the tatted up Albert Einstein piece of artwork (included in the photos!), which I love so much, but even just the print of it without it framed was already $70-80 and that's a hard price to justify even for hot Albert Einstein! I like how every time I stop in to Talulah Belle, there's always new discoveries to be had. They clearly refresh their stock frequently and it's always great to stop in here for inspiration and intentionally unique gifts for the loved ones in your life...including yourself!

The place is just off main street and you cannot miss the colorful building. There is also history attached to this location, so be sure to check out the historical marker next to the building. Parking is just behind the place and is free. Or you can find meter parking or park at the library (free) and walk over. The staff are always friendly and offer to gift wrap your purchase. Or they will include gift wrapping materials and you can wrap at home. Such a nice added touch. But I will say this can make the line pretty slow. COVID-19 wise - staff wear masks and guests are expected to wear masks as well. There is a gift for anyone here, even a hard-to-buy dad or brother. The store is sectioned off into type of gifts. Some sections include: Wedding, pets, golf, Michigan, baby, cooking, homemade products like soaps/candles, children toys, and gag gifts to name a few. The holidays also bring gifts such as ornaments, etc. for the holidays. They do occasionally do coupons in the local Rochester Area mailer - so be sure to clip those!

I think I was getting it confused with another shop, but this place literally rocks! They support local artists who sell their products here and it's the coolest stuff around. You can find most anything here from magnets, to T-shirts, candles, anything. They also have artist descriptions over some of the products which I loved reading. Where they're from, how they started, and much more. I like knowing the backgrounds so that helps. They do have some Michigan and Detroit centric items, but there's also some cool other stuff as well. Some artists rotate, so the stores motto is don't wait to purchase to long, because it might not be here tomorrow. They have a drink bar that you pay at the register for, but I couldn't tell what they served. I think it's a Keurig setup with coffee and tea, but don't quote me on that, nor did I check the prices. When I was here shopping, it was super packed, so be ready to move slowly and wait in line. I'm sure they have less busy times then a saturday afternoon. Overall a fantastic place to get one of a kind artistry for a mostly decent price. I love giving unique gifts when possible as it's important to me, so I will be back in the future.

For example, the glitter deer I admired costs $40. Service could be improved. Most of the sales associates were chatting by the register. No one offered assistance or said hello first.
