For example, the glitter deer I admired costs $40. Service could be improved. Most of the sales associates were chatting by the register. No one offered assistance or said hello first. Overall, this is a fun shop for browsing when in downtown Rochester and I will stop by again.

Initially, I had Becky come out and "tweak" my living and dining rooms, utilizing my existing furniture and providing some key new pieces. She provided multiple options for new drapes which pulled each room together and created the look I wanted. More recently, Becky designed our new master suite and main bath renovation. She assisted me during the construction phase with color and material choices-- a huge help-- as well as advising on aesthetic considerations during the planning stage. Afterward, she reviewed the 100+ screenshots and photos I had gathered to convey what I was hoping to create in our bedroom and two bathrooms. The space is noticeably bigger than their previous one, which gives them more staging area and space to offer larger pieces of furniture, artwork, and clothing in addition to all the unique goodies they already carried within the store that are smaller scale. Everything here is extremely pricey, which is unfortunate for me given that there are many things I love from here, but I just simply can't justify spending exorbitant amounts of money on these sorts of homegoods and accessories too often. The products they carry are definitely geared towards the more affluent and those with lofty home design ideas, as they also have fabric samples and the like to help you design and customize your furniture and upholstery upon them in the back of the store too. The price tags make sense in the sense that I have not seen any of the products they offer in any other stores in the metro Detroit area, so there's nothing to compare their goods to. This is a great place to window shop or stop in to get inspiration for your home and to pick up a unique piece or two. I'm still thinking about the tatted up Albert Einstein piece of artwork (included in the photos!), which I love so much, but even just the print of it without it framed was already $70-80 and that's a hard price to justify even for hot Albert Einstein! Right now it is a holiday wonderland. They have a number of paintings and some good subway type art which is trendy right now at a good price. Need a santa painting? That's where to go! :) If you are on a budget and have limited time Kirkland's isn't the place for you to shop successfully in my opinion and I can't say that I always or even often come out with a great bargain or that I put Kirkland's on my list on of must shops. This store is beautiful and charming and while I did not find the perfect item for my dad, the owner was so super sweet and informative and it was a blessing just to come in and see the fountains and other well sculpted marvels. She told me the store has been in her family since 1966 and it made me wonder if my grandparents who lived in nearby Shelby Township had bought their garden fountain and Madonna statues here because I felt really at home here for some reason. Like I had been there before. When I did not find exactly what I wanted, the owner referred me to a few other nurseries in the area, where I did end up finding some items. She really knows her products very well and take the time to educate and and help you make decisions. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for garden statues or fixtures or great advice on the subject. Rooted in family history and family owned, it was refreshing to have real customer service in this self-serve world. I have encouraged friends and members of my MI family to check them out.

I used to buy fresh greens here but not anymore. These are definitely overpriced. It isn't really that hard to put some greens in a pot with some decorative branches, acorns etc. so I make my own. Their Christmas shop had a nice selection of ornaments. Good overall store but recommend watching for sales.
