Some of their pictures of the great fishing on that lake are not from that lake advertising is misleading. The fishing was ok for us but others there that week did not have much luck. They also claim that all buildings were freshly renovated in 2015 which should say they are in the process. Building materials scattered throughout the property the dining area was missing windows and had plastic stapled over the opening. The semi-guided fishing trip was a joke they said or maybe try here and then on the last night said we did better the whole week than they had done all year. The poor guy that paid for a guide everyday caught less fish than we did. They are giving away a lot of trips all over the US so beware.

They have a few options here in terms of size and price, but the main area is easily accessible from everywhere. Even though it's just a short distance from town, you feel like you're way out in the woods. Our cabin was clean and comfortable, with a couple different sleeping areas, a full kitchen, fridge, etc. I brought home a day's fishing catch and cooked it up right there. If you come with a larger group they have central fire pits and grilling areas and a couple big party shelters protected from the rain. They have WiFi throughout the property, which you'll probably need as I had no cell service up here. There was a baby deer on the property whose mother came by periodically to check. There's a sauna and a barn with bikes for everyone to use. Super peaceful and relaxing vacation.

We stayed for a few days, during which we enjoyed fishing, taking the pontoon boat out for a day of exploring the lakes, fires in the fireplace, cooking and eating breakfast together each morning, and especially sleeping out on the porch! I have not slept so well in many years, and enjoyed listening to the loons out on the lake.Our hosts were so warm and inviting. There is terrain for everyone from super long greens that still have some roll to blues with big head walls and steep groomed and ungroomed blacks and glade runs that let you explore- you can have it all here. In a year I wasn't going to head out west, Powderhorn filled my need for great skiing! The lodge is new and comfortable (next year we will be able to use it more) and there are lots of places to stay including ski in and ski out on mountain (we did AirBNB 10 minutes away). If you want more adventure, Black Jack and Indianhead are a short drive away. There is not a big terrain park here but we still found lots of jumps and rock outcroppings to keep us busy!
