I'll be honest I was so scared bringing my 2 Twin year old baby boys here, not because of the place itself but because well they are 2 and every opportunity is an opportunity to embarrass mommy lol... but decided to give it a chance. Keep in mind that we usually go to a children's salon and they have a tv at every station, toys and games, but big boy haircuts aren't given at children's salons... Walked in and booked an appointment for later that day and was greeted by a nice young man named Ali, came back at 6pm and sat one of my boys on the booster chair.... and then a miracle... my little man sat quietly and didn't freak out, no cartoons no fussing needed he just sat in Ali's chair and let him cut his hair, I was in awe!! Ali was so sweet and patient to my little man and guided him on how to sit and where to look and he listened... then it was my other baby boys turn (I was worried about this guy lol) and even though he did cry a little he didn't go big time on me and Ali was so sweet to him, I gave him a treat and calmed him down with a movie on a DVD player (yes I came prepared) the rest was smooth sailing! Ali ended up giving my boys an amazing haircut! Best one so far in the handful of haircuts they've had, I will definitely be coming back with my boys and will convince my husband to go as well! This barber shop is clean let me say that at least. This review has nothing to do with JT, Gabriel, and Edgar because they're all great barbers. Rick however is a good barber, but this man cancelled an appointment on me because he had "strep" and had to cancel my appointment 12 hours before my appointment time. I said ok no big deal it happens so I got my money back. Next time I booked a week in advanced and this guy decides to cancel my appointment 4 hours before my scheduled appointment. I messaged him asking why was it cancelled, he said "I couldn't make it but I can do later". I said ok what time today? I was very nice about it He never replied back, I asked him, when will I get my refund and of course he replied to that. I got it in the end, but clearly favoritism you have to be friends with this guy. He's a good barber but has terrible service. I'm a really nice guy, and never write a review because I usually never have a bad experience, but in this case I had to because of how upset this made me. He's trying to make a living too, but if you can't own up to your issues then you're the problem. People depend on your service and probably have an important day ahead of them like I did and to get this two weeks in a row is very upsetting. I'm never coming back here again. Called before I walked in- they said there was no wait- waited 45 minutes. No Big deal. The worst part was getting a hair cut by a barber that is unfortunately far sighted, as he could only cut while looking from a distance. Even for the details like the line up and hard part he would step back while cutting. Instead of getting closer to give a sharper edged cut. I asked for a shaved fade and the guy somehow used the razor and still left A LOT of hair long as if he just used the razor for show but shaved Nothing. After while reviewing the cut I asked him to shave it down and he used a machine which still didn't get all the hair. He was just rushing to get someone else in the chair instead of actually doing a good job with my haircut. That's the fastest way to lose a possible New Customer. I'm used to getting quality haircuts and this was the worst since maybe high school. I literally had to shave it all myself once I got home. That was $25 pretty much wasted. Still have a $5 tip, now I don't know why. I guess I was just trying to be nice. read more

Walked in for a haircut. 3 barbers working on 3 different people. A 4th barber was on his phone not helping anyone. During that time, no one was waiting so I assumed I was next. I sat down waiting for someone to finish. 2 more people showed up after and sat down, as well. Waited about 20 minutes before one of the barbers finished. I got up and was told one of the other people had an appointment. Shortly after another barber finished and the same thing happened. The other person waiting had an appointment, as well. I asked if I would be helped and one of the barbers said everyone was booked and there was another barber who would be arriving who does walk-ins. I just left after waiting for another 5 minutes. The low rating is for the lack of communication on their end and the wasting of my time waiting for nothing. read more

I cant stand waiting in a barber shop trying to get me or my sons haircut and watching ppl drinking like if im trying to party with them. Very difficult to get an appointment here, I've literally walked in And called plenty of times within the last couple months.. and have not been able to get a haircut. no barber is ever available for walk ins .. they have you waiting without any barber communicating anything with you. I wanted to love this place, i have given it two chances i taken my son to get a comb over both times the person cutting my sons hair is more interested in his cell phone rather then doing their job. Both times it was two different boys. I don't understand this is a business your here to cut hair not to be on cell phone. The hair cuts are below standards. Best barbershop in Bell. They have 6 great barbers to choose from. I personally myself get my haircut and beard done by JT the owner, and when he's not available Gabriel is the man for the job Appointments are highly recommended and prioritized at this shop. So if you're someone who likes to walk in the same day you want a cut I suggest you think twice since they only take walk ins when a barber has someone cancel or may have a spot open later that day. They don't greet customers and just leave you sitting there even if they aren't busy. Even if it was a lunch break, let your PAYING customers know. It's obvious they have one barber taking the walk ins and everyone else just waits for their appointments. It's the second time they use the same rude practices. Also, lower your tv. I am use to having better cuts than this, no attention to detail at all. Paid 15 dollars and there is spots on my head that still have hair on them, I will never step foot in here again.
