Tried again, disappointed again. Sports banquet food for the high school was so awful we had to eat afterwards at a fast food joint. Won't go back.

Went to visit a friend in the Waterford area and we came here for a bite to eat. Walking in you see a bar and a few tables. It looks like they might be updating the place. I also notice there is a room for bigger parties. We are greeted by the waiter who was very friendly and welcoming. It seems to be a slow night and we were able to pick a table of our choice. I ordered the new crispy chicken sandwich and my friend got the Chicken Francese. For $14 chicken sandwich, I expected a much thicker chicken. What I got was a thin chicken cutlet. The side of fries was also an extra $4. Beside that the sandwich taste good and the topping was fresh. The fries were crispy to my liking. My friend said her meal could use a bit more seasonings but overall enjoyed it. Although the food was bit underwhelming, we had a good time. I would give this place another try.

The host and our server were were cordial, nice and friendly. We got some nice warm breads to start the meal and some free green salads that came with our dinners. The Chicken Ornella, the Chicken Piccata, the Bolognese and my wild Salmon were all very well made. Fresh tasting, homemade pastas and well prepared. For dessert we all shared a delicious Bread Pudding....YUMM.... This is a great place for a meal in New London, check it out. Free parking in the back of the restaurant. A parking lot that lead to the main dining area through a set of steep stairs. The entrance on Broad is street level.

The waiter did not do a good job of coming to our table to check in on us, drink orders, and refilling our waters. This time I tired some of the lamb chop which was cooked well and tasted amazing for an appetizer. For the main entree this time, I had a special which was a halibut with a linguini pasta. The fish was cooked pretty good and so was the pasta (al dente) however the sauce that it was served in was quite bland. Definitely a letdown with the sauce which made me not finish the pasta. If they nailed the sauce with something savory and complimentary to the fish, this would've kept the high praise review. Overall, this experience was unfortunately a letdown with the food and staff/service, probably a bit of an unfortunate choice in meal and poor waiter for my table. Hopefully my next visit which will be in the far future is better. Food(50%): 6.5 Staff/service(25%): 4.0 Value(25%): 5.0 Overall: 5.5/10

They go down way too easily. Do yourself a favor and order the pistachio martini -- dangerously smooth and totally worth it. The restaurant itself is super easy to get to -- it's right in a shopping strip near I‑95, and there's plenty of parking, which is always a relief. Inside, the vibe is simple elegance. You've got options: table seating, counter seating, and a full bar if you're in a cocktail mood. We couldn't decide on just one thing, so we went all‑in on appetizers: * Tuna Tartar - super fresh and flavorful * Calamari Ecuadorian Style - tender with a sauce that was different in the best way * Trio Empanadas - the Colombian beef and Ecuadorian chicken were my favorites; the plantain & cheese one wasn't really my thing * Chickpea Salad - the dressing deserves its own award And shoutout to Fausto, our server. He was knowledgeable, charming, and on top of everything without hovering. Just really solid service all around. Already thinking about what I'm trying next time.

She was so kind and attentive; she even brought out a second serving of the complimentary bread which was soft, warm, and fresh. Delicious with their olive oil! The service was excellent, especially since we were a party of six and descended on the place unannounced. My wife and I did order pizzas - she ordered the shrimp and artichoke pizza and I ordered the Margarita pizza. She loved her choice and gave it a score of ten out of ten. I gave my Margarita pizza a four out of ten and think that that was generous. My complaints - the crust was quite wimpy, undercooked, and the entire pizza was overpowered by the basal pesto! I have never had basil pesto, or any other pesto, on a pizza! I will give the Recovery Room another chance and will try the Margarita pizza again. But, I will ask for fresh basil and be specific that the pesto is not to contaminate the pizza. My long experience with pizza making is that they must be cooked on a stone and the oven must be 500F or higher to get the crust the way I like it. The Recovery Room most likely takes its name from the Lawerence Memorial Hospital which is just a couple of blocks away from the restaurant.
