Tried again, disappointed again. Sports banquet food for the high school was so awful we had to eat afterwards at a fast food joint. Won't go back.

Went to visit a friend in the Waterford area and we came here for a bite to eat. Walking in you see a bar and a few tables. It looks like they might be updating the place. I also notice there is a room for bigger parties. We are greeted by the waiter who was very friendly and welcoming. It seems to be a slow night and we were able to pick a table of our choice. I ordered the new crispy chicken sandwich and my friend got the Chicken Francese. For $14 chicken sandwich, I expected a much thicker chicken. What I got was a thin chicken cutlet. The side of fries was also an extra $4. Beside that the sandwich taste good and the topping was fresh. The fries were crispy to my liking. My friend said her meal could use a bit more seasonings but overall enjoyed it. Although the food was bit underwhelming, we had a good time. I would give this place another try.

You not only get a caterer, but you also get a personalized experience guaranteed to knock your socks off. We were lucky enough to get Sophia as our wedding coordinator. Since I planned my own wedding, it was nice to have someone I could trust on the other end. She was available when I needed her, and was always checking in. She nailed every detail down to the inch. Ivy and Sophia were both professional, patient, and hospitality oriented. We were kept in the loop with deadlines, road blocks, and decision making. They cc'd my mom on every email as I requested. They never once tried to upsell me, but they knew if something aligned with my values, that I would want to know about it. They were always spot on, and I ended up adding anything they offered me because they knew it was part of my vision. At times it was almost like they were in my head! I never once felt like "another one of their events," but rather I wondered if they even HAD any other events, because the experience felt so personalized and tailored to me. They succeeded in making us feel like their only priority. The tasting before the wedding was spectacular. They close down the shop and do a detailed tasting and take notes on what you like or dislike. It was organized and well put together. This was also really special to us because we didn't have much time to enjoy the food on our wedding day, understandably. But the wedding? I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful day. The ceremony was even more beautiful than I had pictured, all thanks to Sophia and the staff at Ivy's. The reception was set up gorgeously, the food was WAY better than your typical wedding cuisine, and the service was outstanding. Most of my relatives and friends are in hospitality as well and they couldn't stop commenting on how exceptional the service was all night. The bartenders were definitely a highlight, so shoutout to them. They even assigned me a bridal attendant, who had eyes on us all night and went above and beyond. If you are lucky enough to get Ivy's Simply Homemade to Cater for your event, you should count your lucky stars. They should be charging double what they do. I am in debt to Ivy and Sophia for delivering the best fairy tale wedding I could have ever asked for. Thank you for an amazing experience. Love, the Holewkas

I have eaten Middle-Eastern and arab food in numerous Middle-Eastern and arab countries, and this food is very unique and different. All middle-eastern and arab food that I have had was delicious, but trended a bit bland a didn't use many spices. Issa's, however, uses flavour, spice, and even heat quite a bit. I am very curious which culture/people/nation this food hails from as it is, as I said, very unique and flavorful. If you know, message me! The beef and lamb shawarma was twelve dollars and was very large. Two people could share it and be reasonably satisfied. The chicken was marinated and very moist, and the "salad" was excellent. They use a type of dressing instead of the heavy "tzatziki" that many places use, meaning that you can taste the shawarma-ey goodness even more. Fantastic. The chicken kabsa and chicken tika sound similar but have very different flavour profiles. Both are chicken over rice, but the kabsa is several chicken drums over "arab rice" that reminds me strongly of delicious Kazakh or Uzbek plov. The chicken tika, however, is marinated chicken chonks over rice with strong cardamom, clove (or allspice), and a decent amount of piquant heat. I didn't notice the heat at first (I'm a bit of a chili head), but it builds slowly and keeps building. At first, I would have called the spice "mild," but it kept building to a strong "medium." Super delicious. Both were fifteen dollars and easily two meals for a smallish guy like me. Highly recommended.

They were helpful, responsive, and everything was clear and upfront. There were no surprise charges, or "gotchas". In fact they did several things beyond the scope of the contract without additional charges. More importantly, on the wedding day everything went perfectly. They gave us great advice on the set up of the tables, chairs, bar etc. They listened carefully to everything that was asked of them, made a couple of outstanding suggestions and dealt with the problems caused by strong gusts of wind at an outdoor venue with calm assurance. All of the food was incredible. The hor's d'ourves were fantastic, especially the brie and artichoke tarts, mini lobster rolls and tuna tacos. The mac and cheese in mini ramekins were also a huge hit. The dinners were equally delicious. I had the half chicken, which was served with a delicious polenta. It was absolutely amazing. Perfectly cooked, moist with a crispy skin. Other sides were served family style and were all fantastic. The dessert was also superb. Each guest received a trio of mini desserts, each of which was delightful. We had several guests with food restrictions (vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free). The servers made sure the restrictions were observed, and they made it a point to bring appropriate appetizers to those guests, which was a very nice touch. All of the guests raved about the food. The service was also first class. There were so many servers handling the passed hor's d'ourves that every guest had multiple chances to try each of the offerings. Service of the dinner was equally impressive. The venue is outdoors, and it is a bit of a hike from the kitchen tent to the dining area. Despite that, the guests were served quickly, and the food came to the table still hot. Finally, their prices are quite reasonable, especially given the outstanding quality of the food and service. A very good value.

The fish was cooked pretty good and so was the pasta (al dente) however the sauce that it was served in was quite bland. Definitely a letdown with the sauce which made me not finish the pasta. If they nailed the sauce with something savory and complimentary to the fish, this would've kept the high praise review.
