Best beef in San Diego... maybe in all of southern Cal! Michigan farmed and grass fed... raised and sold by one family of cowboys. Great cuts... great service! Pairs well with Barrel Riot wines!

The best quality meat from good ol' USA raised fresh in Michigan on a family farm. Doesn't get any better that that!

Beef. Based on the sources you can have amazing meals and absolute pleasure. This is the case with Filhart Beef. Good beef is delicious and nutritious with cows that had a nice life roaming freely. When you get your meat from Filhart, they are providing sources from the family farm on Michigan. The beef is so good, it needs very little seasoning! DELIGHTFUL!

    1/2 a 5" ribeye roast

We bought a boneless prime rib roast. About 4 pounds. We just thawed it out and put on charcoal grill. I have grilled hundreds of steaks/ribeyes. We cut it in half and got 2 - 2-1/2 inch ribeyes. This was the best damn prime rib I ever had. Even better than some high end steak houses from here to Las Vegas.

They can't post correct open and closed times on the web. Drive there and closed. This is ridiculous.

Beef is very good; the price, however, is above the range for (retail) grass-fed beef published by the USDA. In short, it is overpriced.

Good but insanely expensive. Two frozen rib eyes cost $102. This was around 3 pounds of meat.

All of the vendors are really friendly & knowledgable. This farmers market is extremely dog friendly so be aware if you have allergies. The only downside to this market is how rude people can be when it comes to their dogs. We've seen owners let their dogs go to the bathroom just steps away from vendor tents and it's disgusting. Overall a really nice farmers market with lots of yummy food & local produce.

We've always wanted to get fresh, warm and delicious bread and pastries from the Chaupain Bakery stand, but their line has always been insanely long. Luckily enough during our visit this past weekend, the line wasn't as terrible when we passed by them--you grab that opportunity without dilly dallying because a minute later, that can change real quick. We got a slice of their caramelized onion quiche, a strawberry bar, a chocolate chip muffin, and a bag of their brioche buns. Sooooo yummy! We also got Amapola's banana pudding and it was divine! The perfect dessert for a sweet tooth. It's served chilled, so creamy and not too sweet. I love that you still get some banana chunks in there too. Will definitely get this again the next time we visit! I was also in dire need of more coffee that morning, so I decided to get some from Wipeout Coffee. I got a large Iced Hazelnut Latte with oat milk. I was so happy to get to try new coffee from a local roaster! It was pretty good--I really enjoyed my drink--just an insane amount of ice even after asking for light ice. Their coffee was just so crisp and refreshing. They also have all kinds of fresh and vibrant greenery, flowers, and produce that are all just so hard to resist! Unless something drastic changes, we'll always come to visit this farmer's market.

I was in Poway and somehow this place caught my eye when I was looking on Google maps in the area…read moreso decided to give this place a try! I love going to supermarkets and especially ones that I am not familiar with and like to explore and discover new things to try. This market is fairly small and it had basically two aisles but its filled from floor to ceiling with Russian and Eastern European goods. The front deli case has all the smoked fish you want and also plenty of different kinds of sausages too. And since its the holidays, there are also plenty of fun chocolates and gift items! I chose to buy some rusk bread crisps (salmon and cheese flavored) and Russian style egg salad. Both were good! I didnt know what to expect with Russian style egg salad as it has cheese and fresh garlic in it, so I was a little worried if I didnt like it, but good thing is that I definitely liked it and can definitely pair them with some Carr crackers as a snack! Almost everyone in here was speaking Russian and I definitely felt like a weirdo in there but everyone was nice to me and welcoming. My only gripe is that the rusk crisp was labeled as $1.99 and I was charged $2.50. Id come back here again and try other things too next time.
