Having a menu handy we decided to opt for Kam Inn in Donaghadee as mother said it was pretty good from her experience. We ordered over the phone, Salted Chili Chicken, Chicken Kung Po and a Chicken Fried Rice along with a selection of sides. The first surprise was that it was very reasonable in terms of cost £21 for all that including 3 sides. I then went to collect the order 20 minutes later after being advised that it would be ready within that time frame. When I arrived I had to wait a further ten minutes but that was ok as at least you know you're getting freshly cooked meals. When the bags of delights came out of the kitchen it was piping hot and it managed to make it all the way back to Millisle without cooling too much - bonus! The food itself was good, not jaw droppingly amazing or anything but good - ingredients were fresh and the portion sizes were good. In particular the chicken in the fried rice was thick and generous. Overall I was happy with my takeaway - nothing to complain about but nothing to rave about - 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

The standard is always good if you just want a quick bite to eat. Everything is always well cooked and things are served fast, which are the main things you are looking for in a fast food outlet. Where it has the edge on takeaways and chip shops is its small but perfectly formed deserts range, as it has a lot of keenly priced ice cream sundaes and muffins that are very nice for the minimal price! My best Supermac's memory thought is as part of the Des Bishop Work Experience that was on RTE a few years ago. If you have the cash or the spare hard drive space if you catch my drift, check it out and you'll get a slightly harsher insight into life at an outlet like this!

I asked if they took debit card but unfortunately they didn't. The chap working said I could place my order and go to the ATM further up the road and by the time I got back my food would be ready. He wasn't wrong because I came back to the shop just in time to answer the all important question, 'Do you want salt and vinegar?' The food itself was good, although not mind blowing. There's plenty of competition in this area for fish and chips so Georgia's always had a lot to live up to. I got a 'Cod Supper' - I got loads of chips (too many) but the fish portion wasn't huge although it was fried to perfection. This place is amazing to get food after a night out or even to take away for dinner. I always try to ring ahead, they'll tell you it will be five minutes but if you call in about 10-15 after you hang up then you will just walk in and pick up the food straight away. If you go in often enough they'll get to know your order and are the friendlist blokes in the world. They know me by name and it really makes you want to go back over and over. Im sure no one can blame me. When you walk into this little restaurant, you are walking up to a counter and ordering your dinner. They have 14 varieties of chips, priced from £2.20 (small chips)up to £4.60 (taco chips with bolognese and cheese). There are four varieties of fish (i got the fresh battered haddock at £3.60) and fries and gravy for £3.40). The fish and chips were delicious. The gravy was bland (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). The serving was extremely generous. This isnt the best fish and chips I ever had, but I would put it easily in the top 3.
