Figaro is a coffee house that started to spread out a little bit after Starbucks planted itself in this country's brain. Soon enough, a lot of Figaro cafes started popping up here and there. I wasn't exactly sure how I should place Figaro though.
It doesn't try to be Starbucks, instead it tries to be a more mature version of Starbucks. It's restrained and takes a fine approach to things.
The saw news though is that most of the Figaros that I know of have now gone. There weren't a lot of them, but the fact that they disappeared shows that it wasn't good enough to have any kind of staying power. At least, the one in Alabang Town Center is still there.
I can't really give any sort of recommendation for Figaro. I mean, I can't even recall the last time I was there much less what I ordered. What I will say though is that my grandma preferred this place over Starbucks, why though, I can't exactly say. At least give it a try, I don't think it'll be a waste of your time or money. read more
