There are two questionnaires that you have to complete every time before you have your therapy or…read more session. They are extremely repetitive. When requesting paperwork from medical records, it can take up to 30 days which is very inconvenient if you need it for something extremely important. There is absolutely no way to expedite the process. The psychiatrist I worked with was extremely helpful. She did the best she could with the resources she had. The therapist I had, wasn't a good fit, and I searched day by day for a new therapist, but they didn't have too many available options, considering my health insurance and the type of individual I was looking for. Thriveworks has a lot of rules set/policies for their workers. For example, if you plan on taking a leave of absence for work, the psychiatrist can only approve four weeks. If you are looking to get any sort of leave of absence, paperwork completed, I highly recommend to utilize your psychiatrist as your therapist cannot answer to or fill out certain, I learned the hard way. Your psychiatrist cannot speak to any sort of leave of absence until you have had for sessions with them. Thriveworks has been nothing but a headache for me, at one point, my therapist was doing more harm than good. Hence the reason for me searching for another.

Now they keep sending me questionnaires and emails about "how was your appointment..." which we CANCELLED!!! Furthermore, they charged for the cancelled appointment, when it was scheduled within 24 hours of the appointment, therefore I COULDN'T cancel the minimum of 48 hours in advance. Instead of spending so much time on your tech and automation, perhaps you should invest in your customer "care" services!

Our families noticed a change in his behavior and were happy to see him less clingy. We worked with them in and out of the office and that was so helpful when we had questions and needed more help at home. They offered solutions and prompt responses via email and guided us on how we can help me at home. Separation anxiety is not only challenging for the child but, IMO also for parents esp. moms, or whoever spends the most time with the child. In this case it was me, and I def. learned a lot in terms of how to help him during those transitional phases although they were hard for me but Becca and Courtney's guidance put me to ease and helped us incredibly! All the staff on site is helpful and always willing to help! I would recommend this location for anyone seeking therapy services for their kids.

This is something I've never had to worry about with Emily (OT) and Ginger (Speech) at Southeastern Therapy for Kids (Near West End location). I have taken my 3 y/o son here for the last month or so and couldn't be more impressed. My son started seeing Emily for OT and is already making process with sensory-related tasks/eating. It's been incredible to be able to see changes already. In addition, my son recently started with Ginger to help further his progress in oral muscle development and speech. I have no doubt about the progress we will soon be seeing from his work with Ginger as well. What makes Southeastern Therapy for Kids even better is that not only do I love them, so do my kids. Both Emily and Ginger are kind, FUN, and know how to quickly build a rapport with a child. I've had my son come out of sessions with Emily in which she's got him to engage in different foods by utilizing play. She's even let him paint her face with yogurt. Just today, Ginger brought a speaker out into the waiting room to have a Baby Shark dance party...not just for my kids but for her and anyone else that will join in. They include my son's twin sister in sessions often, which is so incredibly thoughtful on their part because at three years old, it's hard to explain why her twin brother gets to go "play" while she stays with mom. Emily and Ginger work together and complement each other the way any team should. They work to meet any needs or concerns you may have and truly treat you like family. To be honest, I almost never write reviews but with Southeastern Therapy for Kids and what they've done for us in the matter of just a few short weeks, how could I not?

I'm not sure why I'm the outlier but I really liked RCC while I was visiting with a provider here…read more They always called to remind me of my appointments or when they needed to be rescheduled. They helped solve billing problems before I even raised the issue. They called me back in a timely manner when I did have billing issues due to insurance switches and they also were just genuinely really nice whenever I spoke to them on the phone. I really liked my provider and was so sad when I had to switch because she actually listened to me and helped order tests to see if there was an underlying health issue causing my problems. I appreciated everyone who I worked with while I was there.

Their billing policies are absurd and make me feel completely disregarded, especially considering the technological challenges of navigating their new portal. People come here for help and are instead forced to deal with a complicated, confusing interface, and then callously told that they have to pay a lot of money if they don't get the technology right. Months ago I was held liable for a session when I had to reschedule inside the 24 hours required, yet I didn't get any kind of compensation when my new therapist canceled on me TWICE in two weeks AT THE LAST MINUTE. Now I am being charged $165 for barely missing my video meeting with my prescriber, when it was the first time I had used their cumbersome and confusing new system, which told me that my browser was not supported, and sent me scrambling at the last minute to figure out the tech as I was trying to log in. I even called the front desk to tell them that I was having trouble, and I kept getting voice mail. I requested that the charge be waived and I was sent an apologetic and "understanding" message from Billing, acknowledging the difficulty dealing with the new portal, but refusing to waive the fee. That is fucked up. I will not be paying that $165 and I will not be seeking services from RCC anymore. Their platform sucks and so do their policies. Find another therapist or therapy practice.....this place SUCKS.
