Impatient, unhelpful, and unkind :(…read more Edit: I see Tina's response, but what a flat apology. Barely bothering to read my responses and blowing me off for a month is not reaching out to help me. Neither is straight up telling me to go elsewhere. I would have liked an actual apology for her behavior. I reached out for help finding a female Christian counselor who does EMDR work. Specifically I asked for someone who: A) has more experience, B) does in-person sessions, and C) takes my insurance. Tina, the CEO and the one doing the scheduling, had almost no patience for me. At any time she could have said: "Sorry, we don't have anyone fitting that description here, but I do have some alternative suggestions," OR "Yes, here are a few counselors that have ABC and are available soon..." Instead, we went back and forth for a month. I even researched specific counselors and asked which ones had in person sessions and took my insurance. Ultimately Tina said: go elsewhere, you are refusing help. Wow. You can see our conversation in the photos. It's unfortunate that I have been treated this way, not just by a counseling center but by one that claims to be Christian. You would expect that they would be more patient and more compassionate, not less. I have tried to resolve this with Tina, but she refuses to respond to me. I do hope that the Lord will soften her heart and use this situation for good anyway. In the meantime, I feel like others should be made aware. We come to counseling vulnerable and aching and seeking help. Who can be trusted to help and not to hurt? For me, not Fig Tree.

I've gotten the runaround a number of times trying to update my insurance, trying to figure out if an actual provider is in network, trying to get the provider added to the thriveworks account for my insurance company. it's a simple fix but they just give you the runaround. And then when you ask to speak to a supervisor you either get someone who's really helpful but gives you the wrong information, or somebody who is nasty and also gives you the wrong information. If I didn't like the providers I was seeing, I would walk away from thrive works in a heartbeat. However the two providers do not work with any other company but thriveworks. The intake process was fine and it was very thorough and they found me great providers, but it's like after that they just dropped the ball, and never want to pick it back up and run with it. I've been on the phone today alone at least 3 hours trying to sort through this issue. I think I finally found a way through, but I'll find out in the next couple of days whether or not it worked and if when I get a chance to talk to the credentialing department. Sweet Jesus in heaven! What a headache. And honestly for being a mental health company, you think that they would take people's mental Health and well-being into account, when they're trying to provide "back-of-the-house" admin services. That is not the case here.

This is the WORST company and customer service I have ever encountered. It took me an hour to try…read moreto cancel an appointment for a client that hadn't even been fully on-boarded yet. Now they keep sending me questionnaires and emails about "how was your appointment..." which we CANCELLED!!! Furthermore, they charged for the cancelled appointment, when it was scheduled within 24 hours of the appointment, therefore I COULDN'T cancel the minimum of 48 hours in advance. Instead of spending so much time on your tech and automation, perhaps you should invest in your customer "care" services!

Our families noticed a change in his behavior and were happy to see him less clingy. We worked with them in and out of the office and that was so helpful when we had questions and needed more help at home. They offered solutions and prompt responses via email and guided us on how we can help me at home. Separation anxiety is not only challenging for the child but, IMO also for parents esp. moms, or whoever spends the most time with the child. In this case it was me, and I def. learned a lot in terms of how to help him during those transitional phases although they were hard for me but Becca and Courtney's guidance put me to ease and helped us incredibly! All the staff on site is helpful and always willing to help! I would recommend this location for anyone seeking therapy services for their kids.

This is something I've never had to worry about with Emily (OT) and Ginger (Speech) at Southeastern Therapy for Kids (Near West End location). I have taken my 3 y/o son here for the last month or so and couldn't be more impressed. My son started seeing Emily for OT and is already making process with sensory-related tasks/eating. It's been incredible to be able to see changes already. In addition, my son recently started with Ginger to help further his progress in oral muscle development and speech. I have no doubt about the progress we will soon be seeing from his work with Ginger as well. What makes Southeastern Therapy for Kids even better is that not only do I love them, so do my kids. Both Emily and Ginger are kind, FUN, and know how to quickly build a rapport with a child. I've had my son come out of sessions with Emily in which she's got him to engage in different foods by utilizing play. She's even let him paint her face with yogurt. Just today, Ginger brought a speaker out into the waiting room to have a Baby Shark dance party...not just for my kids but for her and anyone else that will join in. They include my son's twin sister in sessions often, which is so incredibly thoughtful on their part because at three years old, it's hard to explain why her twin brother gets to go "play" while she stays with mom. Emily and Ginger work together and complement each other the way any team should. They work to meet any needs or concerns you may have and truly treat you like family. To be honest, I almost never write reviews but with Southeastern Therapy for Kids and what they've done for us in the matter of just a few short weeks, how could I not?
