Agree with reviews below. This company--and I use that term loosely--is a scam. I would give serious thought before transacting business with it. Through the company's chat feature, I placed an entertainment center on lay away. Yes, I too, wasn't even sure there was such a thing anymore. But, apparently there still is. The terms were 25% down. I graciously supplied my credit card number. When the purchase price was fully paid, the item would be shipped. There was NO mention of a 20% penalty if I cancelled the order. And in an email receipt I received, there is no mention of a 20% penalty. [I would attach it, but it has personal information, and I don't fee like redacting it] When I called to cancel, this snarky representative obtusely insisted that I had received a receipt with these terms. Well, not only was that untrue, but she couldn't get through her tiny little brain that stating there was a 20% penalty AFTER the transaction does the consumer no good. So, I have communicated to FIG my dissatisfaction. I have notified the Missouri Secretary of State Consumer Protection Division. They will open a file, but little will be done. Additionally, I will file a civil lawsuit with claims of fraud and violation of Missouri Consumer Protection statutes. This is exactly how companies get clobbered with large verdicts and damage awards. The biggest effect will be--I hope--potential, would-be FIG customers will be warned by this review and refrain from doing business with it. I like Nebraska Furniture Mart as an alternative. I also have received some nice pieces from Article.com. I don't receive anything from them for my endorsement. I just like their products and customer service. You might too. I found the perfect loveseat locally, but it was $2500. I went online and found it at Fig Stores for only $1000. It said it was in stock and shipping date was 3/17/17 (this was on 3/2/17). About a week after the 17th I called and asked where my loveseat was, and was informed that 3/17/17 was approximately when the manufacturer (so much for being "in stock"!), would be *shipping* my loveseat, not when it would be arriving. They said I would receive an email in the next week with the delivery date. No one ever spoke to me. Their response to my chat requests said the same thing every time - "Yes, the order still exists, your order should be shipping out either this week or next week. We will be shipping it to you. Just waiting for stock. Sorry for the lack of communication. Thank you!" I really wanted this loveseat, so I put up with it. Finally, I gave up. I told them if my loveseat wasn't coming, then I wanted my money back. I received an email that day stating that the money had been credited back to my credit card. I bought living room furniture from FIG Store and the loveseat arrived with back and arm needing repair. They sent someone right away to repair that, so that was good. However, 2 days before the warranty expired I called to have the seat cushion repaired and got the runaround until warranty was expired. You see, the loveseat was not used and when I sat in it, it leaned to the left because no cushion was inserted on the left side. Not FIG Store fault because they didn't manufacture but they are 100% faulty by not standing behind their guarantee. Disappointing, to say the least. read more

Complete Scam. This Store is a middle man and the inventory that is on their website is not guaranteed to be fulfilled. We ordered a table and chair at the suggested arrival time, I tried to contact customer support multiple times, (Everyone seems to be working in sales no one in customer support) finally 1.5 months after the purchase date was able to get a customer service representative on the phone, who told me that they will never be able to fulfill my order and i could buy a different table and chair. To which I replied i would like a refund the representative said this will be no problem. Now it has been more then 3 months since my order and I have not received my refund. I think, they " know how to *take* the order, they just don't know how to *fill* the order. And that's really the most important part of the order: the fulfilling. Anybody can just take them." Received damaged furniture in Dec 2016. Mark and Brad Newton (manager and owner) refused to reimburse us so I posted several 100% honest negative online reviews. Immediately Mark Newton contacted us and said they were ready to come to an amicable resolution. They had us sign a contract that we would remove negative reviews and they would then give us a full refund. I could not remove 2 reviews from ripoff report and pissedconsumer.com but was told by the manager that writing a rebuttal was sufficient. Furniture was returned and then the owner Brad Newton went back on his word and said he would not give us a refund because we didn't take these two reviews down. Filed a small claims suit and when the Chesapeake Sheriff's dept attempted to serve them they have vacated the building. They won't return emails or phone calls. Mark Newton the brother and manager says he is no longer working for Fig stores. Do not trust these people. They are dishonest. We lost over $1800 & 6 months of torture dealing with these shady people who claim to be faithful. The furniture has been returned and they resell the returned furniture on Craigslist. Ordered the American Furniture AF310 Sharpei Chocolate Reclining Sofa. Had to call and email numerous times to get updates on when it would be delivered. They will take payment the day of purchase and then it takes almost 2 months to get the product. Customer service said they'd return my calls and more often than not left me without an answer. They really could do a better job in that area. Shop local if you can unless you are in no rush to get your item. I ordered a filing cabinet from Figstores on 8/26/15. The delivery date was scheduled for 9/17/15. On 9/17, Mimi from Figstores called and said it would be an extra charge to deliver the filing cabinet as they were concerned it would be damaged if I didn't pay for a "white glove delivery". The additional costs was $149.00. I told her that the website says "always free delivery" and when they processed the order (and charged my card), the invoice showed free shipping. She then offered a $79 shipping option. I again told her no, she would need to speak with a supervisor. I heard nothing for a week and called again. Mimi said she would have to charge for shipping and I told her I wanted to speak with a supervisor. She said they would call me back. I have sent an email today (9/28/15) asking for status. I bought an entire bed room set, over $7000.00. It took over 6 month to get the furniture and when it arrived the dresser had 6 to 8 holes drilled into the front of it. It had to be done intentionally. They kept saying they would order me a new one and never did. They never kept in touch with me I had to call and email them to find out what was going on. They kept saying they ordered a new one but never did. This went on for over a year and a half. I finally ask for a refund on the dresser or at least a discount. They stopped responding to me at all. It is so very disappointing that a company whose name is Faith in God would lie to its customers so much. I ordered a mattress on January 21, was charged in full at the time. It is now March 22 and still no mattress. I've called numerous times--both FIG and Last Mile, FIG's delivery company, and no one has any answers regarding the mattress. Although FIG stands for "Faith in God", DO NOT put any faith in this store! The store credo claims it is "a faith-based company that strives to practice what it preaches", but it certainly is not practicing integrity! After placing an order 5 months ago, I have had the same table delivered 3 times due to damage, a china cabinet delivered twice (damage), product dimensions were advertised WRONG on their site, and first shipment sat in the local warehouse for a month (reasons unknown?) before I received it. The final table I received is defective (but thankfully not damaged) so I've decided not to risk yet another shipment. They will not allow any credit on it because 'they've already lost too much money on my order!!!" Now I am awaiting a credit to be issued by the store (1 okayed by the manufacturer for mis-advertisement, the other from warehouse for delay, both costing the store $0). Mark said it would take 7-10 days (3 weeks ago!), and now I'm chasing it because they have not issued it. No one answers my emails (not even the owner/CEO Brad Newton) so I've have to call them. Ordered an entertainment center on July 2nd, and since, have been told there was a delay at the manufacturer twice, that it was guaranteed to go out the week of the 26th , that didn't happen. Then another delay to which I was told it would be guaranteed be on a truck last Thursday the 18th to which I find that it never picked up, they use a company that only picks up on Thursdays and that even the shipping co had no idea why it didn't pick up. Today I call and now the story is again it's guaranteed to go out Thursday for maybe a Friday delivery or latest Monday after they ship it to a local dealer to then schedule delivery. I came across my old review and realized I never documented the outcome. FIG refused to acknowledge that I had refused the chairs and charged my American Express. I had American Express remove the charges. I repeatedly sent AE and FIG the records of the delivery company showing I refused the chairs because they were the wrong color. The delivery company said the chairs were still in their possession and FIG would not provide them with information on how to return. I had all of the documentation of what had gone on and I repeatedly emailed it to FIG. The delivery company contacted them. But every time I had American Express remove the charges, FIG would charge my AE again. It took me months to get the charges permanently removed from my AE. The longest most painful furniture experience I have ever had. I ordered a sofa on Oct 17th, 2015, they provided a expected delivery date of Nov 16th to 18th. I reached out to FIG customer service many time via their chat app on their website. I was told many different shipping dates, the status of my order remained as "Processing" the entire time and it is still "Processing" today. Finally I was told the sofa had "shipped" What really happened was the sofa had moved from the warehouse to a semi trailer, then sat for another week before a trucking company picked up the trailer, then it took another week for the sofa to get to my state, (which is a 10 hour drive from the manufacture) Hoping I would have my sofa for Christmas guest, since I did not have it for Thanksgiving and have guest, I again contacted FIG, and they told me they reached out to the trucking coming to contact me. Today is the 22nd, the soonest the trucking company can move the sofa 45 miles to my home is Dec 29th. I had to contact FIG over and over again asking where my sofa was, HOWEVER, they certainly took my money on the first day of the order. Local stores only wanted a deposit. I highly suggest you shop local, unless you want to babysit your order, be told half truths about your order, and pay up front to float them a loan while you wait for your order that you will need to follow up on over and over and over. Would highly recommend Fig Stores to anyone looking for furniture. We recently bought a table and chairs from Fig that we found locally at a lower price with free shipping. When the set arrived it had a few scratches, but Fig took care of the issue immediately and had it repaired During the restoration of the table, Fig Customer Service was continuously in contact me with. TERRIBLE ( first & last) EXPERIENCE. I bought from them because of the causes they support and made the mistake of no checking independent reviews here or with BBB, which also has complaints about this store. A TV stand was delivered 10 days late while I was out of the country. Their excuse: delivery time is always an estimate. After my return I reported that it was damaged. I was told by a rude Mark that I had only 5 buss days after delivery to report any damage and because it was not done, the store will not do anything, no refund, exchange or credit for repairs. I even sent them copy of my airline itinerary. A few weeks later Mark confirmed it in writing and threatened to fight with my credit card if I try to to place a stop. Their web site doesn't have anything about the 5 days time limit, which is deceiving to consumers because there is no notice about it. Their delivery agents do not advise people to inspect merchandise for damage and have them sign a document, that according to Mark, states that merchandise was in fine condition and is admissible in court. We don't know because they didn't give us a copy of what we thought it was just a receipt for merchandise. He also said that it is not their duty to advise clients. I pointed out that there was 1 man handling a 200+ lb piece and most likely that is how it was damaged. Mark's answer was that because I didn't choose the more expensive delivery option they use one person; meaning: pay more money and merchandise will not be damage!! I bought a couch back in January and it was delivered 30 days later as promised. The couch came damaged as the staples at the bottom of the couch didn't properly secure the material and I was missing 1 pillow. Iris was super. They came a week later and properly secured the bottom of the couch. Although I had to keep calling the repair dept. to get the status of the missing pillow and they never returned my call, within a few weeks the pillow arrived. It appears that they are no longer in business which is a shame because, not only did they not charge tax which saved me hundreds of dollars, they were also hundreds of dollars cheaper than Wayfair for the exact same couch and I found the service much better. Just like other reviewers I had to constantly contact them to get a refund for an item I ordered that was never in stock. I placed an order on 30 Oct for a Chest of drawers listed on their webpage. The chest was never in stock as they were ordering it from somewhere else in HOPES that they could get it. My ship date was 11 Nov. I called several time in late Nov and was finally told the item was not in stock and they couldn't get it in early December. My money was supposed to be refunded but never was. I called, emailed, and used online chat to several times before getting notice on the 4th of Jan that my refund was "processing". I had to call several more times and finally on today, the 11th of Jan I have an email stating that the money has been refunded. So it has taken from 30 Oct to 11Jan to refund money for an item they never had in the first place.(Still waiting for it to hit my card) Shop somewhere else. Purchased a sofa, love seat and chair, all power recliners. Found the furniture we wanted locally but was attracted to the favorable price FIG offered. When the furniture arrived, there were defects in the material and mechanisms in all three units. I contacted FIG and they contacted the manufacturer on my behalf. The manufacturer agreed to send a replacement for all three units. The replacements arrived and again, there were more issues with the material. My guess is they were shipping issues but not sure. Contacted FIG again. They were again there to help advocate for me. They contacted the manufacturer and they are arranging the repair of the material. They already sent out the replacement material and the local repair company has contacted us to set up an appointment. My hope is the repairs will make the units look as good as new. I will update this review once the repairs are done. What I really want to emphasize is that both FIG and the manufacturer, Southern Motion were very polite, supportive and worked to remedy the situation. Although I would have like the first units to have arrived without problem, both FIG and the manufacturer did what they needed to so things could be fixed to my satisfaction. Based upon their low price and their response to my concerns, (hopefully with the repairs done correctly), I would not hesitate to purchase from FIG again. read more

COMPLETELY HORRIBLE. Be prepared for a SCAM! I placed a $4,000 online order with FigStores (using their LiveChat feature) on the 6th of March 2017. Although the furniture I ordered was labeled "in stock" on their website, in actuality, the manufacturer had discontinued those pieces. When I asked FigStores if they would in fact be able to get the pieces I ordered, they discovered they could not. They told me I would be reimbursed within 7-10 business days. Well, it has been well over a month since the date that they supposedly "submitted for reimbursement". I've been calling almost daily, speaking with their sales staff, but apparently the only person that can handle my issue is someone named "Brad Newton", who refuses to acknowledge my countless calls & voicemail messages. Today I called & told them unless I heard back from this Brad Newton today, I'm planning to involve a third party. I ordered a sofa loveseat chair ottoman set from figstores through Amazon. The description was for all four pieces. The picture was of all four pieces but in tiny red lettering over the chair and ottoman was *not included*. I thought maybe it was a mistake and just the sofa and love seat were included, which I would still have accepted. I believe they intentionally leave this confusing. I emailed the seller, through Amazon message center, inquiring of the color of the set. They offered to change the color of the chair stating that the color they posted was "discontinued" by the manufacturer. When I told them I would take the whole set in a different color they cancelled the order and said the whole set in the originally posted color was discontinued and that's why they had to cancel the order, even though they just offered to change the color before. They never said anything of a pricing mistake and they ignored all future emails. I believe this was a way to sell a chair for a big markup and if the buyer doesn't bite they offer a more expensive set at a "discount". This is a bait and switch tactic they are using. As soon as I contacted them they flooded Amazon with like products at major markups and still had the set I ordered up but for more money instead of my purchase price (the higher price was another buying option when I made my purchase for less). When I spoke to them on the phone they claimed the higher was a pricing mistake as well as the price I purchased the set for, yet the price for that set is still posted! They took the lower price down. They did offer a "discount" (40% more than the original price without the chair and ottoman) which didn't even match the price of other retailers. I would advise other buyers to avoid this place, you can find the same products cheaper elsewhere and if this is how they drum up business, imagine how they handle issues with the products our deliveries. read more
