Be Nude Candle Co is the most perfect place for birthday parties, bachelorette parties, or literally any fun event you wanna do. I can't even begin to tell you how much everyone loved making their candle here and how amazing this whole establishment is. Natasha and her daughter were beyond informative, funny, personable, helpful, and were just such great hosts. Natasha walked us through the whole process from start to finish and gave us such creative freedom, all while helping with every step. The place itself is spacious and PERFECT for events for 10-20 people. The sunflower wall with the swinging seat is such an adorable addition to the place (perfect for cute pics, too!), along with the grassy wall with the lit up #BEnude sign. The actual candle making was something I will 100% do here again - we got to be little scientists for the day and we all loved it. From mounting your wick, to creating your scents and color of your candle, to pouring it in your vessel, the whole process was enjoyable and creative. She mostly encouraged us to "explore and figure out what you like first," which was totally fine, but I think my friend was looking for a bit more direction. There are tons of scents to choose from, though I did notice a few had a slightly chemical note under the main fragrance. I ended up choosing vanilla bean, cinnamon and vanilla, and snickerdoodle, and the mix turned out perfect. After picking our scents, we chose our candle holders. They had a good variety, but the cuter ones all had the store logo printed on them, which I personally found a little tacky, so I went with one without the branding. At the bar, our instructor walked us through the process of slowly mixing our scents and smelling as we went. Following her advice really helped because my candle turned out beautifully and exactly how I imagined. After pouring the oils and stirring for a few minutes, we were done. Compared to another candle-making class I've taken, this experience was much quicker and less detailed, so if you're looking for something deeply involved, this might feel pretty simple. She told me to call customer service. I did. I was on the phone for over an hour. They promised to follow up by email. I never heard back. My $40 was entirely gone. Then, a candle I purchased from Bath & Body Works exploded and nearly set my apartment on fire. Flames came from the outside of the candle & entirely caught fire to the entire wrapping & engulfed the entire product. I am lucky I caught it in time. I brought it back to the same store, upset, shaken, and concerned. Erin laughed in my face. She showed zero concern for the safety hazard and refused to exchange the candle. Again, she told me to "just call customer service." I explained I already had-and they didn't help. I asked if she, as a manager, had any authority to do something. She laughed again and said she didn't, & to call customer service. This is not just bad customer service-it's dangerous negligence. I've lost money, time, and trust. And I'm speaking up so others are aware. Bath & Body Works: do better. Your customers deserve to feel safe and respected. Not only was she educating us on varieties of lilac bushes, but she was also going to go into was already put away into storage for the spring to bring us what we asked for. Wow! Talk about going above and beyond. She actually brought out 4 bushes so we could choose wisely. We chose our two, and with Stephanie's advice purchased the fertilizer to go with it in planting. I checked out the hot house, and Platt Hill employees were all over the place preparing for Christmas. Everyone employee greeted me and kept working at the same time. I would say the store will be ready for Christmas in a couple of days. I believe they are having an open house this weekend. Thank you, Stephanie for such an uplift on an ordinary buying experience. Next step is buying the Christmas tree. Can't wait to feel the true spirit.
