I just left this branch shaking with anger!
I have left three messages to speak with the manager because I opened a new account after receiving a $200 bonus offer in the mail. I met all the requirements (direct deposit, minimum amount etc,) but never got my $200. The people at customer service keep telling me that I have to deal with the branch to get the money, but the manager never comes to the phone or returns her phone calls. So I drug my two young children up to the branch to finally get this taken care of. I walked in the door and it was like a ghost town. I eventually saw a manager in an office having a personal conversation with a man in a baseball cap; There was not a soul at the teller station, but I could hear loud conversation from a back room, so I waited a bit. I leaned back to ask the manager if anyone was working, she looked over at me, and looked right back up at the man who was talking to her about where he had been on vacation, and she just put her index finger up at me to wait. At this point it had been at least five minutes standing at the counter. It made it even more frustrating that I could hear these loud voices squawking on and on, complaining about every personal matter under the sun, but I had no way of letting them know I was waiting. I tried walking to the end of the counter to see if I could wave and let them know I was there, and the manager goes "they'll be right there, maaaaaaam" as though she's annoyed at me for trying to get anyone to help me. God forbid she alert someone to the fact that I was in there, they probably never get people coming inside and I totally get that, but she just let me stand there that whole time! After nearly 10 minutes, I finally signalled my girls that we were leaving, and as I walked past the manager I said "This is just completely unprofessional for a business." I couldn't even finish my sentence before the random guy cuts me off, raises his voice at me and starts saying "oh come on now, come on now. You can wait for a minute, you need to cut people some slack. No. Cmon Now. Cmon Now." I tried to say "no its just not acceptable," but he just kept talking over me. And all the while the manager just sat there in her chair and did nothing! At this point as Im nearing the door I see a girl pop out from the back room and say "I can help you now maam....maaam. OK THEN." As though I really wanted to stay in there and do business after all that!
Long story short, yes I may be a city girl who moved to a small town, but I am not an impatient person. If a place is busy then I have absolutely no business being upset by having to wait, but if I'm the only customer in the entire place and nobody will get off their behind to do what they're being paid to do, well that's unacceptable. read more
