They have a "scent bar" where you can sniff and smell all of the candles to your heart's content. I will say that I was pretty impressed by how strong the candles are and how "on the nose" the scents were. They have a cupcake scent that smells exactly like fresh bakes cupcakes. How do they even do that? The girl working was friendly enough and greeted us with a "hello". The candles are fairly well priced for the size and they seemed to be having some sales on the smaller jars, so that's a good deal if you are looking for some candles.

I found their entire staff to be outstanding and I want to give a special thank you to Robert Adams. I was in Houma about 3 weeks ago just for the weekend visiting family. I went to Blooming Orchid before it closed to purchase a floral arrangement for my dad's mausoleum. While waiting on the arrangement to be completed, my truck unexpectedly stopped on me while I was few blocks away. I called the store and informed the staff about my unexpected situation. I was disappointed thinking that I would not be able to purchase or receive the arrangement to be able to place it on my dad's mausoleum. Robert volunteered to meet me. He arrived and waited with me while a tow truck driver arrived to pick up my truck. He drove me back to the store to allow me to purchase the arrangement. Robert then drove me to my dad's mausoleum and personally assisted me with securely placing the floral arrangement on my dad's mausoleum. He then drove me to my family's residence in Gray.
