I originally had the hip done at Augusta Medical College, but it now needs a revision. Dr. Holtzclaw examined me and is a good man to deal with. I am now waiting on clearances from other physicians to have it fixed. The front office personnel treat you like family. If I could give 7 stars, I would!

That said, my experience with the billing and payment process was extremely frustrating. Before surgery, while I was injured, vulnerable, and had not even had time to collect a paycheck, I received multiple separate payment demands. The surgery center told me I needed to pay about $2,000 up front and indicated that was the only up-front payment I would be responsible for. Then the physician's office contacted me requesting another $1,500 and also represented that as the only payment I needed to make. After that, the anesthesiologist contacted me requesting roughly another $1,000 before surgery. It felt relentless and deeply stressful at a time when I was already dealing with a serious injury and preparing for surgery. I ultimately paid the surgery center, but the whole process became even more frustrating because my insurance out-of-pocket maximum is $3,500. Because of the way these charges were handled, my insurance has been slow to catch up, and I have had to keep paying money out of pocket even though I should be at or near the point where my insurance covers 100%. I understand that medical billing is complicated, but the way this was handled felt disorganized and unnecessarily aggressive. The care itself was good, and I respect the nurses and doctors, but the financial experience left a very bad impression.

Two of my visits were most problematic. Guard ticked away in a corner on pending something. Second time two elderly mobility challenged people trying to get into car were having a lot of problems. Security guard was 15' away but did nothing but play with his phone. It took me 15 minutes help both and guard NEVER ONCE stopped playing with phone.

I really cannot say enough good things about Sarah, Jasmine and my experience at Benchmark.  I went…read morein with hip pain that had been nagging me for months and came from a several year-old running injury.  I was told by the doctor I could get a cortisone shot or try physical therapy and since I am not a fan of shots or temporary fix's I opted for the physical therapy.  Sarah was a lot of fun to work with and always seemed to have a great attitude about being at work.  Jasmine was always a pleasure to speak to over the phone and in person setting up appointments.  This was the first time I used physical therapy in a long time and I felt the facility was modern and had the equipment needed for me to work on improving my hip.  While there Sarah also gave me some exercises to work on my lower back pain and was always very flexible on appointment times.  In short, my injury got better and I had fun doing it.  This location was also convenient to my house; I would recommend this Benchmark office to anyone needing these services.  Also, to show the dedication Sarah has, she participated in a 10k race as a fund raiser as part of their corporate fundraising process (for American Heart Association if I recall).  I would be remis if I did not mention that Sarah does dry needling, if you don't know what that is be sure to ask her as she is happy to show you!

I finally went to their facility in person and got two appointments scheduled. The gal looked at my phone calendar appointment info and confirmed it was correct. I came in today and the same gal said my appointments were at different times and locations than what she previously had confirmed. Boy, did she want to argue!! I repeatedly said I did not want to argue, but she was aggressive and defensive and extremely unpleasant. I do not recommend this facility. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I am in so much pain!
